Chapter 16
Adrian's men kept updating information, none of which did Adrian want to hear. He wanted to find her in the first place, and then lock her up with iron chains to see if she could still run away. Looking at Adrian's anxiety, Bella mistakenly thought that he was worried about the lack of kidney source in her operation.
"Adrian, I am so worried about my sister! Where can all she go by herself? Does my sister have any friends other than Jacob?"
"It must be him!" Adrian gnashed his teeth and rushed out of the hospital and headed straight for Jacob's house.
He had been here once, and this time he was even more familiar.
He became irritable at the thought of Sophia's reddish face.
"Give me a thorough trace of Jacob's whereabouts!" Adrian dominated the city and was able to run a Jacob? Bella called.
"Haven't you found my sister yet?"
"Don't worry, she will be found soon." Adrian comforted Bella.
"When that Jacob Brown proposed to my sister, he bought a wooden house at the seaside..."
In the sea house.
"Do you like it?" Jacob took Sophia's hand and led her into a newly decorated wooden house.
"..." Sophia was very excited. This was her dream when she was a child. She had made a wish to marry the man who gave her a sea-view house.
"Of course! I like it so much! Thank you, Jacob!" When Sophia turned on the colored lights, the room suddenly became colorful and soothing music sounded.
"Music lanterns!" Sophia smiled happily. What a rare smile this is. Since she married Adrian, Sophia has not smiled much. She has even forgotten how Yang should smile.
"I bought a flight and we will leave here tomorrow. If you are willing to have a child, we will raise him together!"
Was that a confession? If so, such a confession was more touching than a pledge of eternal love. Sophia gently petted her stomach and looked happily at Jacob.
After a big day of ordeal, Sophia went to bed early. Just in the middle of the night, a group of people broke into the sea house.
"Where is she?" Adrian questioned Jacob.
"You've got a good sense of smell. You've found her so soon!" Jacob laughed miserably, implying that he was a dog.
"That's better than you stealing other people's wives!" Adrian was not to be outdone either.
"Since you can't bring Sophia happiness, then you can let go!" said Jacob.
"Why should I let go? She is my wife now, so she will always be!" Adrian was very domineering.
"Is it meaningful for you to t*****e her like this?" Jacob was speechless. Adrian's barbarism was seen by him, but he didn't expect him to be so importune.
"It's none of your business! You'd better hand her over before I do it myself!" Adrian didn't want to talk nonsense with him. He pushed Jacob away and headed straight to the back room. Sophia was still asleep and was carried out directly by Adrian.
Jacob was controlled by Adrian's guardsmen. He could only watch Sophia being taken away.
"Where am I?" The next day when Sophia opened her eyes, it was white again with the same ward view and the same smell of disinfectant.
"Where do you wish you are?" Adrian sat beside Sophia all night and wanted to ask Sophia who gave her the courage to leave him again and again without his permission.
"I..." Last night and everything was like a dream.
