Chapter 51
She vaguely knew the person who gave her the card. His family was in the mining business and was
quite wealthy indeed. She couldn’t remember his name, though.
Eileen took the bank card with a smile. “Even if I agreed, would you dare to lay a finger on

me? Have you forgotten? I’m from the Swan family, the family that unscrupulous and dishonorable.”

Walking forward, she lightly tapped his face with the bank card and continued in an icy tone, Go ask
your father if he dares to offend the Swans. Don’t forget what happened to those three people who
offended me.”
She spoke slowly and clearly, emphasizing each word.
Indeed, they had almost completely forgotten about that.
The Gates family was now on the brink of bankruptcy. Teresa’s past deeds had also been brought to
light, and not long after that, she was sentenced to five years in prison. As for Lany, there had been no
news of her.
Meanwhile, the Sheppards and the Hunts were also no better off. Rumor had it that they had fled,
leaving behind a debt of tens of millions.
No sooner had Eileen said that than many of the others instantly paled. They all belonged to the same
elite circle, and everyone knew about it if someone’s company went under or one of them ended up in
jail. Perhaps it was because most of them had business dealings with those families and had been
affected to some extent, so it was impossible for them not to know.
The person who had started the teasing immediately said in a jesting tone, “We were just joking with
you. It’s no fun if you take it seriously. All of us used to be your classmates, so don’t be so petty.”
Some people were just that way, thinking that being well-off made them better than others.
“So, you feel proud just because you’re a Swan?” A cold voice rang out from among the group of
students, and Eileen watched as Charlie approached, the crowd parting for him. “Sooner or later, I will
personally bring down your family!”
How
many people have died because of what Will Swan has done? Even if he was slapped with the death
penalty, executing him by firing squad ten times over wouldn’t be enough!
“I can’t wait for that day,” she replied eagerly, eagerly anticipating the day when Will would no longer be
a part of Hulbury. In her mind, Charlie’s family was like the immune system fighting against the Swans,
who were like a cancer.
Eileen walked away from him, and in front of everyone, she defiantly tossed the bank card she had
been holding into the trash can.
She couldn’t help but feel relieved knowing that Will was away on vacation and wouldn’t be back for a
while. She decided to stay home for a few days, enjoying the freedom of having no one to restrict her.

Chapter 188 1 Am Waiting For That Day
During those few days, she didn’t go anywhere and simply spent her time idling at home, passing the
time.
Suddenly, a knock reverberated through the quiet house. She had no idea who it could be, and she had
no desire to find out.
The knocking persisted, growing louder with each rap.
Reluctantly, she went to open the door. However, when the door swung open, she was taken aback to
see Eric standing there.
Her expression froze, and then she narrowed her eyes and turned to go back into the house. She sat
cross-legged on the floor and resumed her drawing. There was a soft cushion and blanket on the floor,
keeping her warm.
As he entered the house, he glanced around. Despite the living room and kitchen appearing old, they
were impeccably clean. There were a few unwashed dishes in the sink, though.
Sunlight streamed in through the window, casting its rays on Eileen. She was wearing a Blake fleece
pajama set with a hood that had two small pointed ears.
Her sleeves were rolled up, and she held a paintbrush in her hand. Paint splatters adorned her hands,
clothes, and even the floor.
“You got expelled from school, and this is how you spend your time?” he asked, his voice devoid of any
emotion.

Chapter 134 Not As Easygoing
“If you’re asking me to go back, there’s no need. I’m doing quite well here on my own.” Eileen said as
she painted a field of sunflowers under a deep blue sky.
The sunflowers stretched as far as the eye could see, bathed in golden sunlight. These flowers,
reaching towards the light, were filled with hope and brightness.
One’s state of mind is most evident when painting. Some people, when in a bad mood, would depict a
night sky filled with dense clouds and raging storms. However, Eileen only painted the light she hoped
for in her heart.
She was indeed a talented painter. With such skill, she was definitely capable of getting into the art
academy she wished to apply to.
Will explicitly forbade her from touching the paintbrush, yet Eric was unaware of those restrictions.
How is she still able to paint at such a level? Oh right, I almost forgot, she never follows the rules. Eric
sat down on the couch, noticing a piece of paper on the table. “Will you come back with me now, or
should I have someone come to fetch you?”
It was a notice for a parent-teacher conference, along with a registration form for a winter camp. She
had already filled in the information, including her own name. All that was missing was a parent’s
signature.
Upon seeing that, Eric furrowed his eyebrows, a sharp glint flashing across his eyes.
“If I return, aren’t you afraid that I’ll bully your precious Vera?” Eileen gazed at the painting on the flower
rack, always feeling as if something was missing.
She scrutinized it carefully and waited for Eric’s response, but he did not speak.
There was no need for her to look to know what expression he would have on his face.
“Without your presence, I live better than ever before.” These were her heartfelt words.
At that moment, she didn’t understand what Eric was truly thinking. He despised her, wishing she were
dead.
Yet, when she didn’t want to get close to him, he kept showing up in front of her, time and time again.
No one but Eric would stir up trouble at school or deal with the photos.
As a result, in the eyes of all teachers and students, she had become something dirty that had
