Chapter 95
Scott
POV.
It was the most wonderful night of my life but when I opened my eyes everything turned upside down. I sat down, finding Camille's place empty. She must be in Colette's room I thought. I climbed off the bed and walked straight to her room but they were not there either. I took a deep breath and checked the living room and kitchen. I was disappointed when I didn't see them there. Camille must have taken Colette for a morning walk so I sat on the kitchen counter and waited for them. Hours passed but they didn't show up. Their belongings were there but they were not there. Why? Suddenly, I felt uneasy at noon when she didn't show up.
I called Camille but her phone went to voicemail. I left her a voicemail. "Hey, it's Scott. Please call me when you receive this mail." I swallowed hard and placed my phone on the kitchen counter. I poured myself cold water and drank it all in one go. Camille told me it was Colette's last day but she didn't tell me she would also leave me unnoticed.
Panic hit me hard in my chest when it was four in the evening. "They haven't come yet?" I quickly called Rika but her phone was switched off. "Damn it!" I hissed and dialled straight to my studio number. "Hello, this is Sophie. How can I help you?"
I frowned. "Sophie? It is supposed to be Kyra. She is my studio's receptionist."
"May I know what studio you are talking about, Sir?" She asked politely.
"Martinez Production House," I replied.
"It has been transferred to Arthur's group. Two days ago. The new owner of this studio is Conan Arthur."
"Don't talk nonsense!" I hissed and hung up. Snatching my car keys off the table I sprinted out and dashed into my car. I drove straight to my studio.
"Sir..." I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw my old guards.
I hurried inside and they didn't stop me. Everyone turned their heads toward me when I marched through the hallway and entered the elevator. My fingers were curled into fists when I reached the top floor and stepped out. There was so much change in my studio. I slammed open the door and stormed inside.
My eyes widened when I saw Conan sitting in my chair and Rika standing next to him. They were talking and laughing but stopped when they realised my presence. Rika flinched at my fury and Conan smirked in amusement. "Welcome, Mr. Martinez. We've been waiting for you." Conan stood up and clasped his hand, staring into my eyes.
"What is it, Rika? Why the hell are you not receiving my calls?" I hissed at her.
"Because she is no longer your secretary," Conan sneered and picked up some paperwork. "Didn't you receive a notice?"
"What notice?" I snapped.
"You transferred your entire property including your studio ownership to your daughter. Since she is a minor her mother and stepfather will take care of it."
"What nonsense are you talking about?" I clenched my fists and was ready to hit his face.
"Here..." He handed me the paperwork. "Read this property deed out loud."
I glanced through the deed that had my signatures. And the realisation hit me hard. I remembered she took my signature two days ago.
Damn it!
"What is it, Rika?" Her eyes were fixed on the ground as she was still at her spot. "You just made a fool of me?" I charged at her but Conan blocked my way. I glared at him. "Get the fuck out of my way!" I shoved him away and grabbed Rika by her forearms. She winced. "This is how you pay me to show you kindness?"
She raised her eyes at me, tears in them. "I'm sorry." She bit into her lower lip to stop herself from crying. "I really am sorry."
"This studio was my father's dream. How could you do this?"
Rika sniffed, curling and uncurling her hands. She said nothing because she had nothing to say. "How far have you gotten, Rika?" I whispered slowly. She shook her head. "I just chose her over you."
Without a word, I let her go and spun around. Conan was smirking while plopping into my seat and provoking me. I grabbed the papers and looked through them again. It was mentioned that I transferred every single penny to my daughter's name, including my farmhouse, my island, my private jet, and my other properties in other countries. I would have done the deed in my daughter's name but not like that. It was wrong. They ruthlessly owned everything.
I ran my fingers through my hair. I could not sue against this action because it had my signature. According to the papers, I willingly transferred my property to my daughter. I slammed the papers on the table before walking out. I sat in the car, grabbing my head with my hands in frustration. My head was throbbing with excruciating pain. I looked at the studio and every memory of my father flashed in my head. He was the one who influenced me and helped me to achieve my goal. When no one was around, he was there for me.
"You're there at my lowest point and my best." I smiled, watching his studio. It was no longer Martinez's, it had changed into Arthur's Group. I drove back to my farmhouse and grabbed a wine bottle. I poured myself a glass of whisky before gulping it down in one go. I poured another one and gulped it down. An hour passed but I couldn't stop consuming alcohol. It had been a while since I had drunk this much liquor.
My head rested on the table as I stared at nothing. I missed Colette so much. I didn't even know where Camille had taken her. I just wanted one hug from her. I pulled out my phone and gazed at my lock screen. It was her picture. She laughed while holding the little puppy. I ran my thumb along the screen, smiling sadly. "I missed you, Col. Are you missing me?"
I sighed and tried to call Camille, but her phone was switched off. "Fuck!" I flung my phone across the wall, causing it to break into two pieces. Running my fingers through my hair I dragged myself into my bedroom. I swallowed hard when the last memories flooded back into my head. I made love with Camille there last night. I squeezed my eyes, running my hand over my face in frustration. It was more difficult to breathe there. I quickly stepped out and sat on the couch. I didn't want to think about her. I didn't want to think about Camille. She just used me for her benefit. Love was never there. It died four years ago. I thought I would make her fall but it never occurred. She became stone-hearted.
"Fool!" I scoffed, shaking my head. "Now, she'll marry Conan Arthur and live happily ever after." My jaw clenched when I thought about Colette. "She's my daughter. I will need to find them."
********
The next morning, I began to search for Camille and Colette's whereabouts. I grabbed my phone and repaired it before calling Rika but her phone was directed to voicemail. I knew she would not respond to my calls. Cara Davidson's latest news was nowhere to be found. Only the things that filled the news sites were my news. It was said I became bankrupt so I had to sell my studio.
Maura Garcia left Scott Martinez in debt due to her drug addiction. Now, he has to repay it with his studio.
I scoffed at that news. I scrolled down to other headlines.

Martinez has a hidden daughter. It is reported that Martinez has a daughter with Cara Davidson.
I shut the phone, gritting my teeth. I grabbed the car keys and rushed out. I drove straight to my studio. After a while, I parked my car in the parking lot and got out. I passed through guards. They tried to stop me but I shoved them away from me and walked straight to my office. Without knocking I stepped inside and glared at Conan. "Where are Camille and Colette?" I demanded.
"I don't know," he replied with a shrug. "I thought they were residing with you."
"Where are they?" I slammed my fist on the table, shaking it harder and giving him a warning look. If he would not tell me I was more than ready to change his face.
"Whoa, man!" Conan laughed harder. "This won't scare me away."
"Answer me."
"She doesn't want to see you," Conan said firmly.
"I don't care, I just want to see my daughter."
Conan stared into my eyes for a few beats before letting out a sigh and scribbling down an address on a piece of paper. He slapped it on the table. "We'll stay there for a day or two before we move to our permanent house. You have twenty hours to meet your daughter."
I picked it up and read the address. Without another word, I left and dashed into my car. I turned on my location before typing the address into Google Maps. I began to see directions. My palms were sweaty and my heartbeat was racing due to anticipation. I didn't want to think about anything but my daughter. I could endure everything for her, even if I had to sacrifice every single penny I earned in my entire life. I loved her unconditionally. I could do anything for her. After one and a half hours, I reached my destination. It was Camille's old house. How did she manage to get it back? I pressed my head against the steering wheel, breathing hard. Many things were running through my head. There were so many emotions swirling inside me. I felt like I would explode with these stupid feelings. Bringing a shaky hand to my forehead I wiped a fine line of sweat. After five minutes I got out and rubbed my sweaty hand on my pants. I walked over to the door, rang the bell, and waited for a response. In a few minutes, the door was answered. My breath caught in my throat when Camille watched me with wide eyes. I guess Conan didn't warn her. "Hey..." I rasped, forcing a smile. Camille smiled but it didn't reach her eyes. "You came unnoticed?"
"Umm..." Camille cleared her throat, still standing in the doorway, and did not invite me inside. "I thought you would find it."
"I found many things." I laughed emptyly. "Can I come inside?"
"No," she said firmly. "It's over, Scott."
"You betrayed me."
"It wasn't my plan," she muttered. "I didn't even know Rika and Conan had planned this. I just wanted to take your stu..." She bit into her lower lip and was unable to complete herself. "I just wanted to own your studio because I knew what it means to you."

"I am not here to listen to your justification. I just want to see my daughter."
"You're not allowed to meet her, Scott," she said calmly. "I told you that day it was the last moment."
"One last time," I pleaded with her.
"No, Scott." Camille looked strangely indifferent. "It's no."
"Please, Cam." I tried to get inside but she blocked my way.
"I said No!" she said almost angrily.
"I... I need to see her." I swallowed hard. "I'm here for her. I want nothing. Everything is yours. You won, and I lost. Let me meet my daughter one last time. I swear, I won't show up again."
Camille bit into her lip, shaking her head. I could see her chin shaking as if she was battling not to cry. I grabbed her face, looking into her eyes. "For fuck's sake, she is my daughter, Cam! You can't stop me from meeting her." She flinched but didn't rip herself away from me.
"Please just leave," she said in her trembling voice.
I pressed my head against hers, inhaling her raspy breath. Our tears broke simultaneously. "Why are you doing this?"
"I have not been harsh to you, Scott. Go away." I breathed shakily and stepped back. "If you ever love me, Scott. I want you to leave me and my daughter forever. Tell me, do you love me?"
"Yes, I do..." I smiled sadly, turning around and heading straight to my car. I opened the door and glanced at Camille who was still standing in the doorway and still watching me. I smiled shakily and got inside. Without another glance, I drove down the street.
She had her revenge.
It was over.
Everything was over.
Our story ended with revenge.
