As Melanie walked over, Kara smiled. Her head nodded awkwardly. ”
Hello…, Mom.”

“When did you first meet my son?” Melanie threw a new question. While Kara was stunned, she added, “I really can’t wait to find out how my son fell in love with you.”
Kara blinked for a moment. Knowing her mother-in-law’s true. intention, she lowered her phone and straightened her back.

“Jeez!” She cursed in her heart. “Turns out she’s not an easy enemy. At this rate, I have to act faster.”
Meanwhile, outside the door, Kara’s footsteps slowed down. The curve of her lips had turned flat and her rough breathing was no longer unbearable.
