Brayden looks up and says drones are deploying and searching.. we will know when they are within 20 miles of the border. Cory chimes in “The traps are set…but damn! The cleanup is gonna be a bitch. We have a shit ton of crazy warriors that live for crap like this! And it’s going to get messy.. the guys with the flamethrowers are lining up a half mile from the claymores lining the border. There’s gonna be wolfy parts from here to kingdom come. Get it? Kingdom come?” Brayden says “did I forget to tell you my mate is one of those crazy warriors?” And we all laugh! Because it’s so true! Cory is the one who came up with the claymores and was the first to train with the flamethrowers.

Kaiden said “ all cameras online and focused to the south and west…we will be able to see out a good three miles so we can expect no surprises. Brayden piped in with . “I have 150 warriors standing to the north and east, just in case they try to outflank us. Just getting word the archers and snipers are ready to deploy. And the drones are picking up movements coming at us to the south.” I stood up and said “Let’s go kick some ass!” And we headed to the southern gates…

Earl is walking with Arabella and me to get in position..and Arabella says “I bet you ten bucks that Byron the Pussy..that’s my new name for him..Byron the Pussy..has a nice ring to it, right!? So, anyway, I will bet you ten bucks Byron the Pussy hides behind Celia.. and will wait to see what’s happening. He’s gonna run..he will see he’s losing and he’s gonna haul ass. The pussy! See? Good name! So what about it? Bet me ten bucks? Yeah?

I’m biting my lips to keep from literally guffawing and Earl looks like his eyes are going to pop out of his head. I say “she rambles when she’s excited. It’s cute actually…but sometimes, hard to follow.” And he busts out laughing and says “yeah..I can see it” She looks at me and said “So it’s a bet or not? Ugh! Did you hear anything I said? I bet you ten bucks!” I shook my head and tried to go back over everything she rattled off but I just said What?? She huffs “Byron the Pussy! He’s gonna hide behind Celia and when he sees he’s losing…he’s gonna run! Mark my words! He’s gonna haul ass like a scalded dog! So bet..or not?!?” I said sure baby! Bet! And Earl just laughed harder. I love my squeaky little rattletrap mouse!

We had gotten everyone in position and we watched as they reached the gates. Ezekiel stepped out first… Shana behind him… the second vehicle opened up and Celia stepped out with Byron to her left, behind her…and I shake my head because I see ten bucks fly away..and a link says “See? The pussy!” And now I’m trying not to laugh because this is supposed to be War!

I stepped out where I could be seen and spoke “ Gentlemen..and I use the term loosely..we can end this peacefully. You can pack up and go home instead of wasting innumerable lives on your part. Leave and I will let you live…the advantages you think you have are nonexistent and you will lose!” Just then we saw three men fall from trees behind them.. I said “your snipers are dropping like flies and I just got word your marksmen are eliminated.” I could see them linking for verification and I smiled hugely and said “My queen is badass! Final warning! Leave or fight!” And the charge was sounded…

The first 40 wolves met the claymores and Cory was right! Wolfy parts all over… next the flamethrowers ignited and another 65 wolves went down. 100 wolves broke the line and the fighting began.. I stepped to the left and grabbed a wolf charging at me and snapped his neck.. three more were charging and I shifted into Eros and hear Brayden say to Kaiden “Is he bigger? He looks bigger!” And I leaped at the three…killing two on the jump…the third one tried flanking me and he dropped to the ground…an arrow sticking out of his forehead. My queen!

I looked up to see Ezekiel shift and Shana shifted behind him…she took off running for Arabella while Ezekiel charged me.. he was a formidable opponent and I took a strong hit to my left flank and stuttered but recovered rapidly…faster than I used to..and I lunged at Ezekiel…catching him in his left hindquarters and nearly severing his leg. I wasted no time and ripped his throat out. No mercy. I frantically searched for Bella and saw she hadn’t shifted yet…just batting Shana’s wolf around like a cat with a toy. Good times!

The fighting intensified and I felt two bonds snap..one right after the other and spun..searching for the fallen. I see five wolves circling Brayden and I run for him…leaping over two wolves and landing beside him. We stood back to back fighting in sync… taking them all down without a scratch. I looked for Arabella and I saw she had shifted and was facing 3 wolves…I ran to aid her and before I reached her, she had killed them all. She leaned into me and licked my face.. then turned and sprinted back into the fray! Girl is gonna kill me! I twisted just in time to avoid the gaping maw of a good sized brown wolf. I batted him with my paw and he somersaulted away from me…I pounced on him and snapped his neck…. The fight was winding down…there were dead wolves, everywhere I looked… we had lost two…and countless injured but they had lost everything. I saw Celia being led away by Cory.. but I couldn’t find Byron. I glanced back where I had seen Celia and caught a flash of white fur.. I linked her “Baby??” And she comes back with……”bringing the Pussy in and You owe me ten bucks!”
