Her Savior Alpha

Chapter 58

“I- ah, I-I Archer. Archer, are you okay?” Thick cords of unexpressed rage clogged in my throat as Archer took me on his back. I clung to him like a baby feeling helpless and traumatized from the events.

“Vera, I’m fine.” His stubborn remark while cutting was not the truth, he was hurting and limping along. I wanted to help, but he wouldn’t let me. Pack members arrived in droves one by one with a gurney. My eyes were seeing it, but they weren’t believing it was true. I watched as my fellow pack members crowded around a knocked out Dane. I watched as they loaded the man who’d tried to assault me on the makeshift hemp cloth.

Thelma, who was in wolf form came trotted over to us both nudging her nose on my leg. I touched the top of Thelma’s fur so glad to see her alive and well. Around her neck was a necklace and I tapped the side of Archer’s bicep asking him to put me down.

“Archer stop for a minute.” My leg was badly gashed and throbbing like an angry hammer driving in a nail, but I still I had to stop. Thelma had something to tell me, I could see because she had that look in her eye, one I’d seen many times in the human form and as we ran as wolves.

Around her neck was a small leather satchel. Archer reluctantly let me down from his shoulders as I took the little bag from her. I opened it up as I hobbled trying not to drop my injured leg to the ground. As I placed it down I found it was a small tin of a tincture inside with an ointment.

I bowed to Thelma’s noble wolf as her snout raised to the sky and she howled. I watched as she did and giggled breaking up the tension of what I’d been through. The bag was in my hand as Archer turned to Thelma and stroked her fur also in appreciation. Thelma nudged again as I looked at her with a frown. I turned the little pouch in my hand as I felt deeper into it. Behind the tincture was a small butterfly bandage to close the wound and a tiny vial of alcohol. It was the same preparations I set up in the medical hall months prior. My mother was rubbing off on me, and finally all the alternative medicine stocks were coming in handy for once. “Ah! You’re so clever Thelma.”

Thelma responded by bobbing her head up and down. “Yes, I am.” She spoke to Vera through mindlink as Archer gently took the butterfly bandage applying it to my leg.

“Thank you Archer for saving my life.” Tears spilled over as I watched the pack work in harmony carrying Dane through the forest. We were far out from the training ground so it was due to be a long trek for them, but order had been restored by the looks of things.

Archer touched my leg delicately above the wound in response as he lightly swabbed at the wound with alcohol. I held my breath as I let the sting die down. “Sorry, I had to do that.”

He pulled the two gashed components of my leg together and clipped the butterfly bandage over it. After that he wrapped a crepe bandage around to secure it. Thelma whimpered as she licked my hand and I gave her one last look as she trotted over to the rest of the pack.

“Thanks again.”

“Easy done. Do you think you can walk? Or do you want me to carry you? That’s probably going to need some stitches.”

“No, I can walk I think. I know you put the bandage on and you say it needs stitches, but my Lycan is pretty good at healing.”

“That’s true, I’ve seen it with my own two eyes for a fact, but here, jump on my back. I’m strong enough to carry you. Come on, it’s a one time offer. I’m not going to carry you all the time.

“Then I’ll take it.” I hopped on the back of Archer’s back as his arms strained hiking me up as we trampled through the forest corridor. Halfway through Archer’s heavy breath made me concerned he was ailing.

“Let me down, my leg is feeling better.”

Archer sighed as he stalled for a moment letting me slide down him. It made me realize how broad his shoulders were and what resolve he had as both a man and a soldier. I still remained puzzled as to why my wolf told me Archer was anything, but damn near perfect.

Together we reached a wasteland of chaos as we entered onto the training field. Equipment had been left out in the rain and swords lay on the ground. Combat gear was strewn all over the place. Immediately, due to my intrinsic wiring I wanted to rush in and clean everything up. Archer narrowed his eyes at me. “Don’t even think about touching the equipment, the other pack members can worry about that for a change. It’s enough of you doing all the work around her. You deserve to have someone else help you.”

“I’m glad you helped Grant.” I blurted it out, but the slow burning desire I’d had for Archer for burning brightly and I wanted him to do more than tend to my leg. His thick, tousled locks overlayed his face as he raked a hand through it and the back of his triceps rippled from his graceful movements. Maybe it was due to all the fighting and the training he’d done on ground at Mount Hunter, but Archer was looking more handsome than ever.

“Me too, because I’ve met you. Not to sound cliche, but maybe it was meant to be.”

I chuckled just grateful to be delivered from the carnage. “Maybe,” I replied to him with a coy smile.

“Where are we going to go? You need to rest your leg and we’re not travelling 100 miles back to Cianwood.”

“Hmm. There’s the Mount Hunter Inn. We could check in there and stay in peace. I feel sick staying here. It reminds me too much of all I’ve gone through. I prefer to be away from the mess of it all.”

Archer’s steel gray eyes fluttered closed for a moment. “Understandable. Mount Hunter Inn it is. I think we should get the keys to Clive’s Jeep. I’m sure he won’t mind if we take it out for a spin.”

“That’s a good idea.” We both entered together as healers rushed in and out of the medical hall. One of took a look at me with my arm draped around Archer. Her eyes widened as she observed the state of me. Archer had brought a spare set of clothes to protect my modesty, but my hair was wet from sweat and sticking to my face. My nose had a large cut on it. At the time before changing it seemed worse than what it was. Scratches, deep bruising and overall battle soreness had me walking like broken doll.

“Oh my dear. Vera, Vera, Vera. We have one spare bed. Get in here. You need tending to.” I glanced at Archer with a loving stare.

“Go on, get in there. Like she said you need tending to.” Archer tapped me lightly on the butt as I walked in and the nurse pointed to the empty bed right next to Clive.

“Vera! You’re back. I heard what happened. Are you okay?” Clive scanned me for injuries from head to toe.

“Yes, I’ve got some war wounds obviously, but we defeated Dane. Actually, it wasn’t me it was Archer.” I nodded my head to the left.

“Archer, thank you. I knew we could count on you.”

“Yeah, I did what I had to do. Vera is the real heroine.” Archer stared at me with such admiration in my eyes it made me blush. Meanwhile the nurse was fussing over me, bandaging my shoulder where it was cut and parting my lank hair to check for head wounds. Once I’d been checked out thoroughly for twenty minutes as Archer retold the tragic story of how he took Dane down I got off the empty bed so the next patient could lay down on it.

I waited for Archer to finish up his conversation with Clive whose face looked a little fresher than it did before. “Of course you can borrow the car. The keys are in the locker and it’s open. Number 32. I hope you recover quickly Vera and Archer. You guys are my heroes. Love you both.” Clive getting warm and fuzzy made me want to burst into tears. I was already shaky with emotion so I didn’t need too much more to send me over the edge.

“Clive are you getting all mushy on me? I have to get out of here. I’ve got something in my eye I think.” I wiped my eye moving out of the room wishing healing for everyone in the room.

Archer grinned as he kissed into my hair. “Come on, let’s get the queen to the Inn for some rest and a bite to eat.” The hot heat running through my hair felt good and tingles at my apex were making me feel frisky. Hard to believe since I’d just gone through the wringer and nearly been wrapped by a dirty old man wolf.

I waved to Clive as we walked out together and Archer and I rode into town. The ride in was a weird one as wolves were still wandering around the streets. Not wanting anyone to see me I kept my head down safe guarding my face. The last thing I wanted was wolves throwing items at the car. By the time we arrived at the Inn it was just before dusk and all I wanted to do was lie down.

We check into the old relic of a place with old antique sepia photos in wooden frames on the walls. The floor had some old carpet down with funny patterns and it smelled a little like mothballs, but it was warm and had an old world charm to it that I loved. There were only ten rooms in the place only and half of them were downstairs, the other half upstairs. We were checked in for upstairs. I only had my backpack and both Archer and I’s things were inside.

Archer had the key in his hands and unlocked the door as I went inside behind him. A large oval mirror with a gold trim, a queen size bed with basic quilt covering, and a big window with a view over the mountains of Mount Hunter. It had all the amenities for our stay and instantly I felt all the weight of the day and nights events weigh down on my shoulders like a ton of bricks. I dropped onto the bed and sank into it. That’s when I started to feel the throb of my leg.

Archer had done a good job dressing it, the nurses didn’t make too many adjustments to it. I ran my hand down the side of my leg and Archer’s hot fingers ran over the top of mine. His eyes skimmed to my face as I felt myself blush. Where would he sleep? Would it be beside me? An ache radiated from my core as I fantasized about wrapping my arms around Archer’s back and sliding a leg between his thighs. For a short moment I regarded him, not wanting him to see the flame of my desire.

“Do you- ah- do you want me to sleep somewhere else? If you give me a pillow I can sleep on the floor. I don’t want to make you uncomfortable.” Archer’s voice was cool like a summer’s stream, but the thing was I wanted him to make me uncomfortable. I wanted him to touch me in the place he could. I didn’t know how to tell him that, that’s what the problem was.

“No, you don’t need to sleep anywhere else. You’ll be fine in my bed.” Shyly, and in my own subtle way I let him know I wanted him. Close by me. The aches and pains of battle where the last thing I thought of. Archer was providing every distraction I needed.

“Okay, want something to eat? I can call room service?” I wasn’t hungry, but I did want something else to eat, or to eat me and in came in the form of a rogue wolf.

I licked my bottom lip as I stared up at him from under it. “No, I don’t want anything to eat. I want to lie here for a minute. Can you come lay by me Archer?” Speaking softly I fell back on the plush pillow as my raven colored hair spread out on the pillow.

“Yes, I can.” Archer’s voice warbled, but I he climbed over me, careful not to tamper with my leg as we faced one another in a spoon. I looked him in the center of his stormy eyes feeling as if I was staring in the abyss of the universe. Archer gathered up my fingers as a calm, buzzing current ran through my veins. I almost didn’t feel the smooth, delicate glide of Archer’s lips on my mouth. I parted mine gently as I tasted his. Salty with a dose of male musk, the bare essence of Archer. Letting myself go Archer skimmed his hand over the top of my shoulders and down my arm. I let him run his fingers down it as he reached my fingers. I delighted in the way he touched me. His eyes never leaving me. Fingers skipped over to the tendrils of my hair as he wrapped part of it around his index finger.

“Archer,” I said in a low whisper.

“Yes Vera?”

“I like you...” I whispered it so low and soft if there were a breeze inside the tepid room it would have floated off on it. Archer turned my hands over like a leaf, they were hot from the stream of heat circulating through my body. He placed a finger in the middle of palm marking out a circle.

“Vera, I more than like you, I’ve been holding back for so long. It’s never felt like the right timing between us. I want you, I want to pleasure you. Take away your pain. I’m sick of seeing you suffer and I want to provide some solace to you tonight. Will you let me.” Every word struck a cord and sent a shockwave through the peaks of my nipples.

“Yes, I want you too. Mind my leg, that’s all,” I relayed with a nervous laugh as a part of my hair fell forward.

“I will be gentle. I want to savor you.” Archer breathed as his wolfish passion emerged for me to see. He gently brought my head forward as he kissed my lips. We dived into one another as our lips ran their own crusade. Archer slipped off the hoodie he’d given me to wear revealing a white tshirt with no bra underneath, there was no time for that in the forest. He opened his palm running his fingers over the cotton fabric as he tweaked my nipples sending a spark of fire to my pussy. I groaned with happiness at the touch. At least I wasn’t being beaten, for once I was being caressed. He continued with the tweak and rolling the flat of his palm over them both causing them to peak through my shirt. I could feel the stream of desire building between legs as Archer kissed my hurt away. My fingers splayed over his chest and I grew hungrier wanting all of him as I did what I imagined, pressing hard against his body with my leg lodged between his. He responded as he pulled my shirt over my head.

We breathed hard into one another’s mouths as we he cupped my ass with a guttural growl pressing his hard cock against my leg. Whimpering for more Archer dropped his head to my left breast cupping and suckling it and then moving to the other and starting the same sensual torture. This was a torture I could handle and was willing to endure. He followed a slippery slope down my navel taking the loose sweatpants I had on with him. I raised my hips so he could get them off. They couldn’t get off fast enough.

Feeling wild I breathed hard. “Your pants too. Take them off.” I wanted to see him in his glory, and I wasn’t upset at the package once he removed his pants, his cock stood proud and true ready for me as the head of it glistened. He fumbled around for a minute as I craved his entry. He sucked his two fingers inserting them lightly into me as his eyes rolled back in his head.

“Sweet, sweet juice. You’re waiting for me.” Archer’s eyes darkened as he spoke to me in a sexy tone. I laid flat on my back feeling sensual as I opened my legs to receive the fullness of him. He dipped in lightly at first timing his rhythm as my body fit neatly around him like a glove.

He stroked me from the inside out as he grabbed a handful of my breasts thumbing over them as he rocked inside of me in and out as his face contorted in ectasy. How, I’d longed for his touch, I didn’t know what it felt like to be so enraptured. I’d had minor dalliances at school, but not like this, not with a manly wolf who had all of my body melting into bliss. A fire began to build as small droplets of sweat covered us both. I ran a slow, sliding finger down the front of Archer as I bucked up against him. I could feel the volcano rising. The hot sunrise burning between my legs as it peaked and my body convulsed in the wave of a long overdue orgasm.

“Oh my Vera! Come for me,” Archer called out as he hardened inside of me coming with me. He pulled out of my hot, whirlpool before his juice spurted landing it on my stomach.

Not deathly slow, but not fast either. I wanted another round. I wanted many of them with Archer. “Again. I want more Archer.” My eyes glowered with pent up desire as Archer grinned.

“Coming right up sweet beauty...”
