Her Redemption

Chapter 31

The d day came (Sam's birthday) and they spent most of the day talking and preparing for the event. Liam was quite reluctant and nervous but he had already given Diana his words. Diana who hated lateness so much made them prepare from 2pm, the party was gonna start by 4pm. They agreed to wear black and red. So Liam put on a black Suit and a red bow tie, it was one of his best Suits, it was gifted to him by his Dad. He arranged his hair in a lovely Manner and quickly went to check up on Diana.

She had already worn her gown, it looked so beautiful and gracious on her. It was a red laced Mermaid gown which had a long slit up to half of her Laps.

"You look so handsome" She complimented him as she opened the door for him.

"And you my love, you're breathtaking " Liam said running his eyes around her.

"I'm not even done" She laughed as she hadn't done her hair but she was done with her makeup. She had golden glittery eyeshadows on and some daring red lipstick on. She wasn't a makeup girl but anytime she had one she killed it. She plugged the stretcher and began to stretch her hair, Liam watched how graceful she did it. By the time she was done, her hair looked so silky and classy. She made a center pattern as long as Kim Kardashian would do it, then she combed the hair to the sides and tucked them to the back of her hair. She quickly put on her jewelries and wore perfume.

She brought out a Pencil heel, gold in colour and begged Liam to help her wear it, while she fixed the hands of her golden purse. Liam wore her the shoes with care and kissed her feet afterwards.

"You are such a sweet boy" she said while fiddling with his chin.

"Alright let's leave before we are late, she checked to see if she was forgetting anything. When she was sure she wasn't, she led the way to go the garage while Liam stood behind her admiring her beautiful self.

Liam drove with the direction from Diana and before 3:40 they were at their host place. They met some guest and family members outside. it was an indoor Party but the people were just having a glimpse of the beautiful environment. "Such a nice place they've got" Liam acknowledged.

"Oh yeah, her husband is filthy rich" Diana Told him,

you need to see her swimming pool and studio, they are just amazing " She said more.

And then Liam spotted Sam talking to a family member, she seemed angry that the preparations were not concluded. The man Calmed her down, telling her not to get herself worried on her big day.

"I won't worry if I did not invite people, I can't afford to keep them waiting you know" she hollered.

"Everything would be done before you know it" The man assured her.

"I hope so" she muttered.

Liam signaled Diana that Sam was around. She convinced him to go with her to greet Sam, he refused but after much persuasion and pleading, he agreed to go.

"I really don't wanna ruin things, you know, the party has barely started" Liam muttered.

"Nobody is ruining anything baby," she assured him.

"Hey Sam, happy birthday to you, you look so beautiful " Diana greeted. Sam was putting on a strapless black velvet gown. It was long with a slit and had matching gloves too. She had hired a make up artist who did her gorgeous makeup and styled her hair to look like a queen.

"Hey love, I'm glad to see you, thanks for honoring my invitation " She said. Just the Liam greeted her.

"Happy birthday Sam" he wished her. it was then she noticed him.

"Liam Maxwell?" She asked quite surprised.

"Yeah, nice to see you after all these years" he extended his hands for a hand shake. But Sam was almost Mad.

"Are you serious? after all you did to Diana and I?" Sam hollered.

"Diana I don't get, how come? I thought I warned you to keep your distance with him. She turned to Diana.

"Girlfriend he is a nice and changed guy now, I promise you" Diana patted her back.

"I just pray so" Sam bluntly replied. Just then Kenneth came looking for his wife.

"Honey, did you give the DJ your preferred playlist?" He asked her.

"Oh Darling, you are here, look who we have here, The almighty Liam Maxwell"

"Wow! Kenneth exclaimed as he hugged him. Of course he held nothing against Liam like his wife.

"Good to see you bro" Liam said, you don't look bad at all.

"you don't look bad yourself" Kenneth replied shaking his hands. Sam was quite surprised how they got along. She later showed them to a table in the living room were the Party was held. The place was turned into a party hall with different tables assigned to chairs in their twos and threes.

"You see it wasn't that bad" Diana said to Liam as Sam left.

"I guess so" Liam replied sitting opposite her. Just as they sat down, Ciara, Sam's daughter tapped Diana and gave her a big hug.

"Hello Aunty Diana, I missed you". Ciara smiled.

"Oh my darling, I missed you more" Diana replied as she put her on her laps.

"You look beautiful, who dressed you up?" Diana asked the little girl

My mummy did" she replied still smiling.

"Oh your Mummy did a great job, did you tell her thank you" Diana asked while playing with her cheeks"

."Yes I did and Daddy too" she replied. Diana kissed her and explained to Liam that she was Sam's daughter.

"she's so cute, I can wait for us to start having our own beautiful kids" he smiled as he caressed her legs from underneath the table.

"Of course our kids would be the cutest thing in the world" She said looking at Ciara.
