Chapter 106
Epilogue
Diana stepped into the company with her clothes all drenched up by the harsh storm, which had taken over the sky unexpectedly. She had been lucky to see a good Samaritan, who could lend her an umbrella, thus avoiding her hairs from getting wet.
"Hey Diana." She turned around and a new colleague, who she had at this point failed to recognize his name rushed over to meet her, as she got ready to set up her desk for the day.
"Hey.. uhmm.." She hated scenarios where she couldn't remember the name of her colleagues, even after they had previously met.
"Sam. The name is Sam." He said with smiles revealing his sharp chin. If Diana would admit to herself, he looked quite a charmer.
"So Sam, how are you doing." She said with a smile in her face.
"Well, for starters the weather is truly fucked up." For a moment she cringed as he used profanities. "Anyways, I was told the boss would love to meet everyone at the conference room right...." He checked his watch for a moment. "... Right now." He concluded.
Diana mouthed a thank you to him as he slide away out of her desk, while she set up her table. She noticed her other colleagues were headed to the conference room and she didn't want to be left out of the scene as well.
Diana made her way over to the conference room, where it was getting a little crowdy. One would assume there wasn't much staffs in this company, however it would always prove to be an obvious lie.
Diana sat beside Sam, who was as always sharing stories with the other colleagues. Diana's attention suddenly caught up with a very familiar face. She almost lost her balance on her seat, seeing the sight of the one man she had always thought she would never see again.
Liam made his way into the conference room all suited up for the big news he had. Once he mounted the podium, there was silence and while he attempted to make his speech, his eyes caught up with Diana's. Liam was dumbfounded to find out that she was a staff in the company. It was almost as though Karma was getting him to see her and hunt his memories.
Needless to say, he regained his composure after seeing her. "Good day everyone, I am a man of few words as most of you would have already known me. I am here to inform everyone of you that the company would be signing it's major deal with Interscope by tomorrow." There was loud applause after he made the announcement.
"I want to commend all of you for the hardwork you put into this company and making it a success today. It is with this I say we will share more wins to come." Once Liam was done with his speech, everyone made one last applause and all made their way out of the room conversating with one another.
For Liam, it was invigorating to know that he could finally sign the deal. However, one more thing needed to be taken care of. He stepped out of his office and made his way to the staff room, where he believed he would most likely see Diana. Once he stepped into the staff room, he notices the sights gazing him and he ignored all of them. "Diana, I will like to see you in my office this minute." He said in the most formal way possible and left.
For Diana, she had expected him to make the call sooner or later as it was now obvious that he didn't know she worked for him. Sam winked at her as she made her way over to the office. It would be the first time she had ever stepped foot into a major office since her arrival.
After knocking once, Diana entered the office and was amazed to see the beautiful art collection hanging across the wall of the office. It wasn't a surprise, Liam had been a good lover of arts.
"Quite surprising I must say." She was drawn back to Liam, who was staring at her with a smile on his face.
"Hello Liam." Diana said as she sat on the chair, not attempting to make any eye contact with him.
"I must say this last two years have really done you great things. You have grown even more beautiful." Liam's word seem to always get a way to her heart. Diana couldn't remember the last time she received an honest compliment. "You are not looking bad yourself." She replied and a silence erupted afterwards, as Diana couldn't contain the manner at which he stared at her.
"Look Diana, I understand you are still angry with me. I understand that you have always believed I would have been the ideal man in your life even if I never became that perfect. I want you to understand that what you saw was my past and I have to say everyone has their own demons. This is mine and regardless of how hard I try, I cannot stay away from it. That is the honest truth." His words had so much truth in them.
Regardless of what Diana would have seen in his past, she couldn't deny one fact; Liam was always the perfect match for her and she always had a weak spot for him.
"Anyways, that's just part of the reasons I call you. I want us to put this difference of ours aside and I want you to be my personal secretary in this trip to Canada. That's where the deal with Interscope would be signed." Diana looked at him in disbelief.
"But I am just a mere staff here. Surely you have other staffs who have worked very hard and deserve this spot." Diana objected.
"I am the CEO of this company and any decision I make is binding. So Diana, you will be accompanying me to Canada tomorrow." Diana could not say any more. It was almost futile as it was obvious Liam's mind was made up. While Liam was about to say something else, she got up from her seat and left the office much to Liam's confusion.
"Wait a minute. The boss wants you to go to Canada with him? That's massive. You are really lucky I have to admit." Diana was confused as to the rather much fuss created by Sam, after she told him.
"Look, I am just confused. Why would he choose me out of all the staffs available." Diana asked. She didn't even have a single experience about the company.
"Mr. Williams always have a way of doing his things. His authority is never questioned." Sam replied.
Diana knew the ideal truth even though she wanted to deny it. Liam was searching for a means to get back to her in good terms.
***
Canada was a beautiful place and Diana was quite amazed by the luxury Liam was enjoying. They had been brought to their hotel by a private jet and the room, which they now share was quite expensive.

At first Diana had attempted to object to sharing the same room with him, but Liam had been persistent on the ground that she was his personal secretary, leaving her with no choice.
Late into the evening, Liam had announced to Diana that they would be having dinner with the board of directors of Interscope, this had forced her to get into something befitting for the event. A dashing black gown, which had been gifted to her by her cousin months ago. She stared at herself in the mirror and despite the lackluster in makeups, Diana couldn't deny how beautiful she looked in the dress.
The door opened and Liam came through in his usual tuxedo, which made him look almost perfect. The manner at which he was staring at her made her stomach turn; the butterfly feelings is almost inevitable around him.
"You look beautiful and I hope after this deal is signed tonight, you will listen to a confession I have to say." Again Diana was placed in a pool of suspense. What sort of confession did he had to make? She was aware of his scandal. "Alright then, let's head for the dinner." He extended his hands and Diana hesitated for a moment, before eventually taking it. His hands remained firm than ever as she observed an increase in his bisceps as she wrapped her hands totally on his.
At the dinner, everyone looked quite dashing in their outfit, almost making Diana regret choosing the ones she was wearing at the moment.
"Mr. Williams, such an honor of having you today." A man who Diana believe was in his sixties approached them.
"The pleasure is mine Sir. Arnold." Liam's shook his hands firmly.
"And who may this be, if I may ask?" Diana lowered her face as Arnold's stare became intense on her.
"This is my date for the night and also my personal secretary." Diana looked at Liam's in disbelief. A date was something they didn't discussed about.
"Nice to meet you Miss Diana. Anyways, you would have to lend me your man for the moment as we go discuss business." She smiled as Liam and Arnold walked forward. Liam turned around giving her a signal to wait for her. While they were gone, Diana wondered what she was to do in the middle of people she didn't even know their identity.
"So, you are Liam's date I see." She turned around and a dark skin man, who is almost the same height with Liam came towards her sight.
"That's what I am." For some odd reason, Diana believed the man was being nothing short of cocky.
"I hope you know that he is rather incompetent of handling his company alongside being a shareholder with Interscope?" Diana didn't know the motive behind the man's statement, but she wasn't having any of it.
"With due respect sir, I need you to understand that he is capable. I trust he will handle it as he exhumes the persona of a great leader." She didn't know why the urge to defend Liam came in, but she hated people being talked down by others.

From the stares the stranger was giving to her, Diana was scared that she may have pushed a button.
"Impressive then...." He said with a smile.
"Ah! Mr. Stewart. We have been looking all over for you." Diana turned around and Liam was back with Arnold.
"Just decided to have a chitchat with your date. She is quite an amazing woman I must say." Stewart said with a smirk up his face.
"Diana, this is Mr. Stewart, the CEO of Interscope." Diana stared in disbelief at the man in question.
"I don't need anymore questioning for you Mr. Williams. Your date here has shown to me that you are more than capable of bringing success to this great company. Which is why..." He snapped his fingers and a man pulled a napkin which underneath it contained a paper.
"... I decided to sign the deal." Diana turned around and she could see the happiness laced on Liam's face. "This is the reason I decided that you get a date while coming. It is true her I would know the type of man you are and she has shown me that you are a great man with virtue." Diana felt hands wrapped around hers as she looked into Liam's eyes.
**
After the dinner was over, Liam and Diana were alone in the hotel. He had gone to make calls, while Diana changed into something casual. The rest of the dinner had been filled with Stewart cracking hilarious jokes and making everyone laugh. "Just a day of meeting you and you have pulled the ice in the cake of my achievement. I guess this was what I have been missing all the while." Diana turned around to see Liam back in the room.
"Earlier before we head out to the dinner, to the dinner, you said you wanted to make a confession. What is it?" Diana had been bothered by his confessions and needed to hear it.
Liam sighed and walked all the way to the bed, beside Diana and for the next few minutes there was silence.
"The man at the club where you went to have a night stand was actually me." Diana turned to Liam in disbelief. "That's impossible." She exclaimed.
"It is never a lie Diana. I was at the club and yes I approached you hoping you would recognize me, but that wasn't the case." He held her hands. "Diana despite the fact that we had our difference in the past, it doesn't stop me from admitting that I love you. Yes I have a past record, who cares? Everything changed when I met you." Liam's full Concentration was now on Diana.
"Even tonight, you proved the essence of why I must have you in my life. I love you Diana and nothing will ever change that." Diana felt completely emotional, broken. All her walls had been once again shattered by the man she had always felt something for.
"Liam, I now understand why I could never find comfort in another man. It's because I still have feelings for you too." That was all Liam needed to hear.
He captured her lips and for the next minutes, Diana felt nothing short of bliss. She was finally in the arms of the man she so desperately loved and desire and this time, nothing could come in between them.
