After taking instructions from uncle I climbed upstairs. Here I am standing nervously outside his study room.

What should I say to him. My hands are covered in sweat. Like seriously, why should I be afraid of him.

I took a deep breath and knocked the door. His deep masculine voice came from inside which can drove any woman go crazy. Well I don't want to compliment him but its true.

Arthur Brown⚫

She lightly stepped in and slowly walk towards me and stand opposite to me. Wow this fiercy cat has come to me by her own choice.

"Do you need anything?" I asked her in a serious voice. She is playing with her fingers, seems like she is nervous.

"Mmm....actually ..I" for the first time she is shuttering and her voice was soft.

I raised my left eyebrow giving her a questioning look.

"Arthur could you please tell me where is my room? I want rest for sometime."

Oh I think to much. sigh.

"Other rooms are dirty you can use my room for today. Turn right and at the corner you will see a room all alone" like me.

She smiled and was about to turn but stopped in midway and asked that question which I never want to hear.

"By the way where is you mother. I haven't met her yet"

My blood boil in anger "Who gave you the audacity to ask me questions. I marry you that doesn't mean that you think yourself as Mrs. Brown. You are nothing for me only a wife for name sake.

And you have nothing that will attract a man towards you. Never ever ask this question again or else you will see real Arthur Brown. Get lost" I yelled at her.

Tears roll down her cheeks and she apologized in a feeble voice "I am sorry, next time I will remember my place"

With that saying she left room and run away. I closed my eyes and calmed my mind and heart.

God what I did. She know nothing about my past and I vent my anger on her which she don't deserve.

I rubbed my temples in frustration. Should I go and ask for her forgiveness. What if she wants to leave?

Then what will I say to dad. I've done wrong and its my responsibility to make her happy. I should not torture for my sins.

And for that so called mother 'Hellen Taylor' just wait how I am going to destroy your Taylor family.

I slowly open my room door and saw Tiffany, crying hard while sitting on floor, hugging her knees.

Her tears made me feel guilty. Arthur you are such a bastard. I also sit on space beside her.

"I am sorry Tiffany, I don't want to shout on you but I was unable to control my anger."

She sniffed "Its okay I should not ask you about your family after all I am no one one to you. And I know you only marry me for your dad."

Her eyes were red and tears were rushing down them non stop. My heart was throbbing with pain.

I tried to lift her mood "I never knew that my wild secretary is a cry baby"

And I succeeded in my attempt. She glared at me and wiped her tears.

"Who said I am a cry baby. I also do have heart which you hurt. B'coz you don't have heart. God has granted you with stone instead if heart. Humph!" She looks cute when she becomes angry. I felt bad at her words. Heart, ones upon a time I was the most kind hearted and innocent child.

"Tiffany I promise you I will not shout on you again. Now go and wash your face. Eww... look at your pretty face it is ruined by these thick black lines"

I picked a little drop of black liquid mark from her face and showed to her. She laughed and believe me I've never heard this melodic laughter other than her's "You said I have nothing that could attract a man?"

"I was angry so I uttered non sense. But I like brown shade more that white" I said winking at her.

She stopped laughing and said something which I never expected from her.

"Arthur, I don't know how much months or years we are going to live together but we can't fight like this and act like enemies."

"So what do you want?" I asked her suspiciously

She extended her hands "Be my friend"

I looked at her like a dumb person. Did I hear right? She want me to be her friend.

"Will you?" She again asked and there was hope in her eyes and voice.
