Chapter 5
She must be tired... she should rest now.
Ask her to take rest.
You are so uncaring. You are not taking care of her.
Let me come out, I will show you how you should look after her.
Dumb human.
“Ugh, shut up!” I groan, rubbing my temples with my fingers because my beast is giving a headache with his constant nagging.
Regina raises her eyes from the new contract papers, giving me a concerned look.
Now, she will think I am crazy for groaning and talking to myself.
“Are you having a headache?” She asks softly.
My heart flips hearing her concern filled tone.
She is so caring... she is worried about us.
My beast bloody purs in my mind. He is so whipped.
So are you!
“Yes.” I smile at her, answering my beast and her.
“Then, I will take these papers with me and send you tomorrow after going through them. You should rest.” She smiles and starts gathering her things which causes me to panic as I don’t want her to go yet... or ever.
Look, idiot, because of you she is leaving us.
It is because of you, I developed a headache because you could not just shut up.
“Regina,” I call her, “Will you join me for lunch?”
“Umm...” She opens her mouth, looking unsure to answer.
“Please.” I softly add.
“Ugh, don’t do this.” She groans, slumping back in her chair, “I can’t say no when you give me this look.” She points her finger at my face.
“What look?” My eyebrows pinched together as confusion overtakes my mind.
“This look... which makes me hard to say no to you.” Shaking her head she smiles, “Like if I say no then it will break your heart.”
“Well, it is true. If you will say no, my heart will be shattered beyond repair.” I give her a rueful smile, indirectly pointing out the fact if she will not accept our bond then my heart will be broken forever.
“No one would believe me if I will tell anyone, that this big intimidating man is such a big drama queen.” She rolls her eyes at me, slightly smiling.
“C’mon, I am hungry.” She nods her head towards the door, as she picks up her stuff.
Quickly, I stand up and take things from her hand, internally grinning like crazy. Even my beast is feeling happy and satisfied that she is not running away from us.
“Regina.” Someone calls her making us stop and look at the source of the voice.
A man approaches us, and stand a little close to her for my liking.
We are very protective of our other-half, anyone from the opposite gender getting near to them in any way makes us crazy.
Regina looks at me when involuntarily angry hiss comes from my mouth. As if sensing my anger she sends a small smile in my way, simmering down my anger a little.
“Yes, Raymond?” She asks the man, who is looking between me and her with a perplexed look.
“You haven’t answered your phone, so I called your secretary she informed that you are here.” He gives me an assessing look.
“Oh, I am sorry, I haven’t introduced you guys.” She slightly laughs.
“This is Raymond, earlier he was dad’s financial advisor, now he is my advisor.” She gives him a polite smile, then her smile grows looking at me, “And he is Atlas.”
My heart nearly explodes in my chest when she wraps her hand around my arm, looking at me with adoration.
“Oh..." He slowly nods, a smile appears on his face in understanding, “You should thank me, Regina, if it weren’t for my advice you wouldn’t have met him.” He wiggles her eyebrows at her.
“Always taking credits for everything.” She narrows her eyes at him in a playful manner.
“But I think we were meant to meet, if not today then at some other time.” She softly smiles, “I was destined to meet him.” Raising her head she locks her gaze with mine.
I smile down at her, because even she doesn't realize this now, but it is true we are destined to be with each other.
