(Book 5)- Chapter 7
Trinity’s POV
Bambi rode with me in the front seat on the way home. The SUV had almost seen its better days. The few holes from stray bullets on the passenger side had hit a mechanism in the handle, causing it to jam. Bambi had to jump in the driver’s side, and even he gave me a funny look as I told him to hop up.
Rolling the windows down, he let his head out the window. These wolves were like regular ‘ole dogs the way they stuck their noses out. Bambi heard me laughing and immediately hopped over the console to give me a lick. Bambi was big, maybe just a smidge bigger than Theon, even though they were remarkably close in their looks.
Bambi had a more menacing look, while Theon was more thoughtful and loving. They both had their quirks, and I was excited to see how we all fit together in a new family dynamic. Even if we didn’t get to stay much longer in this town.
I didn’t want any trouble, and Josiah was going to be trouble. I didn’t have the manpower to take care of myself in a town that tends to their roots more than their transplants residents. I had to think of myself. Stacy was a great friend and all, but that’s all she was. Even with her friendly parents, I couldn’t get them in trouble either if I was found out.
Throwing out the “I could call the Sherriff card” wouldn’t help either. My face was plastered all over the East coast for missing persons. The further away I got from there, the less the police looked, especially in a podunk town like this.
The first town I was in, I made it a whole week. It was a large town on the East coast, and I was walking through a boardwalk fair. They had funnel cakes, a Ferris wheel, and a haunted mirror mansion. I had always wanted to go to one, and since I had just arrived in the states, I thought I was safe, but of course, that was thrown out the window.
Various posters were plastered all over telephone poles ranging from garage sales and missing animals. It was amazing how Americans just littered any surface they could find to send out notices of items found or missing. As I heard several kids screaming, one poster caught my eye. It was a girl full of red hair and green eyes. My heart jumped when I realized it was none other than my own picture, smiling. It was a professional picture done for my father to send it out to any possible business clients to merge his company with theirs. An arranged marriage with some old fart.
I ripped the poster from the pole only to be met with the sound of a whiz that cut off a lock of my hair. Before I could watch it float to the ground, I jumped into action. The gunshot sounded through the crowd, and everyone began to scatter. Children ran to their parents, and many ducked inside buildings and hid under benches. I didn’t look back to see who was after me. I jumped over the curb and skid my knees across the wet concrete from the fresh rain from a passing cloud.
The SUV blinked its lights as I unlocked the door, and I shoved my rental keys in the ignition. My keys jingled, and my breath was the only thing left I could hear. Glancing up with one hand on the wheel, two prominent men in black suits with dark sunglasses ran towards me. Throwing the car in reverse, I hoped my getaway would be slicker than the oil in their hair as I peeled out of the parking lot.
Shots were fired as they both hit the passenger side panel of the car. This car was not bulletproof and went straight through the middle console. I felt the tap on the side of my seat as I gripped the steering wheel. This was close, too close. Not even stopping at the hotel I had been staying at, I sped off down the highway of my life on the run.
Once I had put at least 400 miles between the incident, I pulled over at a rest stop to get a few hours of sleep. My eyes glared at the center console as I decided to see how close I was to being seriously maimed. To my surprise, it was not a hunk of metal lying at the bottom but a broken blue capsule with a sharp needle on the tip.
They were going to f*****g use a high-class dart gun to put me out! They weren’t trying to kill me; they were going to take me back to my father. I threw the dart out the window and gripped the steering wheel. Sleep didn’t sound like a good idea anymore, so I started my drive again until the lines on the road began to blur.
I drove down the coast until I hit Florida and then traveled westward through Mississippi and Alabama. Staying only for a few weeks at a time, I continued on. I always had the bag my mother gave me the night before we parted ways. I swore to her I would keep it with me at all times so I could have a quick getaway.
Thank god I listened to her because I would be up the creek without a paddle if I had left my bag in that hotel. The bag was my lifeline. Mom packed over a million dollars in that bag, all in small unmarked bills of American money. Money, my father, would hardly miss.
Bambi and I pulled into our tiny home and let out a big sigh. Today was a lot more social interaction than I was used to in the past year. Stacy was trying to break through my high walls; if only she knew the real reason as to why I played the introverted card. She would throw a fit and think it was the coolest thing to have a whole mafia after you, “you are living a romance novel without the romance!” I could hear her say.
Nope, I’m just living a complete nightmare.
The door opened with a creak, and Bambi walked in with me. Thumper was nowhere to be found, but if his brother was here, he would be back. I started stripping my clothes off, thinking a bath would be the best thing for my aching muscles. My little burner phone was a bit pricey, but I had to have some sort of music in my life.
Putting it on to meditation music, I filled the tub up with bubbles and hot water. I’m talking scalding water as I flicked my undergarments off. Tapping the screen a few more times and grabbing my towel on the tub side table, I let the warmth cacoon me into another world. A world where I didn’t have to worry about my past and I could float in a sea of warmth and comfort.
I could hear Bambi whining at the door, but I ignored his calls. His big nose lay at the door as he sniffed inside. “Bambi, you can sit in here, you know?” I left the door wide open, I knew he didn’t like being too far away but getting him and Thumper past the door was too much work.
Turning up the music, I slowly drifted off to sleep as my head hit the tub cushion. Trying to think of better times when I was young, only my mother and me.
Mom would take me to the park to play; I had friends to play with within the sand by the large pond. Italian music played at the parks’ center stage while my mom laughed with fellow friends. My father was nowhere to be found. Bodyguards would stay far enough away so no one would be the wiser that they were talking and playing with the Mafia Don’s wife and daughter.
…
I awoke with the smell of red rose petals tickling my nose. My face was buried in a pillow as I felt someone massage my back. “Mmm, that feels nice,” I mumbled as I heard a deep chuckle. My eyes popped open as I turned to see who was behind me. It was a damn supermodel in the bed with me. Taking notice of my surroundings, it wasn’t my bed at all.
The room was dark with candles lighting the room, the bed was pure white except for the petals scattered across it, and I was naked from the waist up. The haziness of the room only reminded me I fell asleep in the tub relaxed me again. “Oh, the perfect dream,” I nuzzled into the pillow as the large hands caressed my body. The gods’ hands went from my shoulders down to my middle back and squeezed my h**s. I let out a slight m**n as his hands pulled the sheets even lower to take in my giant a*s.
I knew I had a big butt; some guys liked it but most shied away. This man, this god behind me, seemed to enjoy it as he kneaded it senselessly. It felt so damn good.
A low growl came from his throat, and I found that to be the sexiest thing I ever heard. I felt him lean down, and his open-mouth k****s trailed down my back. My hands gripped the sheets feeling something I had never felt before. It was hot like fire drops each time his lips grazed my skin. I let out a whimper as I felt him turn me over. My breasts were out in the open, and I didn’t even try and cover them. It was a dream, and I had nothing to be shy over.
This man had a chiseled jaw carved from the finest marble, stubble decorated his face as his ocean blue eyes bore into my green ones. It was funny, I would find the sea comforting, but the sea that shone in his eyes was nothing but a storm brewing. Half of his body was covered in tattoos, and his midnight hair hung shaggily to the right side of his face. That half-smile had parts of my body pounding for more.
His torso came closer to me as he leaned on his elbows, so he was hovering over my body. The pointed nose trailed up my neck as he kissed it lovingly, leaving tiny marks in its wake. My body shivered as my hands involuntary slid up his chest. The growl turned into a purr as his lips finally reached the corner of mine.
A staring contest ensued as he pulled away; a whimper left my lips as now there wasn’t one but two of them! Oh yeah, this was a dream, and it was the luckiest damn day of my life! “Oh my god,” I whispered as the one closest to me finally gave me the k**s I craved while the other put his mouth straight on my breast. The electricity flowed through my body as one of my hands pulled the one sucking my breast closer to me while my other hand tangled in the other’s hair.
My legs began to rub together, trying to gain friction I didn’t know as I looking for. Moaning into the god’s mouth, he let go of my lips only to be attacked by another set, this one more eager than the other. His lips were firm, but his tongue immediately invaded my mouth as I gasped as the other man’s set of hands gripped my a*s.
The burn in my lungs started to have me panic, and as soon as I pushed the gorgeous man away to take a breath, water splashed beside me. My eyes bolted awake as I squeaked, slipping in the tub as my head went under for a fraction of a second. Taking large breaths, I put my hand over my heart to calm myself.
“s**t,” I muttered as I sat up. Bambi was sitting under the tub, licking my fingers as I regained full consciousness. “Note to self, don’t fall asleep in the tub,” I chuckled as Bambi huffed. Sitting up, I go to grab the head of the shower to rinse the soap out of my hair. Bambi walked out again as I shrugged my shoulders.
Maybe bath time was too traumatic, and they are scared they will get rewashed? They will have to get over that real quick if they want to live in this house. I stuck my tongue out at Bambi as he walked out, and I sat back down in the tub to wash the suds off.
“That was the hottest dream of my life,” I whispered out loud as I heard Bambi lift his head up. “Not one but two,” I whispered again.
Shaking my head to come back to reality, I accidentally dropped the showerhead, and it landed right between my legs. I jolted from the water pressure that brushed up at the apex of my thighs. Grabbing it quickly, I calmed down at the sudden intrusion. It didn’t feel bad; it just scared me. Taking a moment to think of trying it again, I slowly put it near my core, only to believe that sudden jolt became much more pleasurable.
Dear heavens, that felt amazing as I let out a m**n. The amazing tingle I had felt in my dream was now in real life as I thought the water was pulsing. Leaving it there for a few minutes, I took it away. Something was missing that I wanted more of, but I couldn’t place it. It was like a mountain I couldn’t jump off, it felt nice, but nothing came of it.
Taking the showerhead and placing it back above the tub, I stepped out on the shag-carpeted rug and dried myself. Wrapping the towel around and placing the corner between my breasts so it wouldn’t unravel, I see my boys staring at me through the bathroom door.
“And what do my big bad wolves want for dinner?”
