(Book 5)- Chapter 55
Trinity
“Huh, so it’s like that?” I tilted my head to the door, hearing growls and squeals on the other side. I bit my cheek, feeling a bit disappointed that I didn’t give my mates that satisfaction first finding their mate. If I had known and grown up in the culture that this is what mates do, I wouldn’t have hesitated.
Did I deny them that pleasure? To ravage me the first time they saw me? Everything they had done had been for my benefit, to make sure I was comfortable because I was human, er supposed human. However, you wanted to look at it.
“Babe,” Theon snuck his arms around my waist, his head resting on my right shoulder. “You are a loud thinker.”
“Am I? Then what do you think? How do you feel?” Theon turned me around, Thaddeus staring down intently in the same way. Both of their thumbs matched each other as they massaged my bottom l*p.
“Not this again,” Thaddeus rolled his eyes, wiping his forehead. My head whipped around, glaring at him. My angry kitten eyes had him begging for mercy.
“No, no, no, please forgive me. It’s just that we love you, and you keep doubting what we say. Why do you doubt our love and nothing but the truth for you?” My eyes softened; I didn’t think of it that way.
“We wouldn’t have our meeting any different. It is special and unique; our own parents didn’t have the most traditional meeting. Not every mated couple acts like… like that.” Theon’s head nodded to the door hearing a few curse words, and then Bohdi commanded him to lick her lady parts. Poor Spencer.
“And I can’t wait,” Thaddeus pulled me into his arms, kissing my forehead. “To tell our entire pack how we met if you could leave out the pet names, though, that would be great,” he chuckled.
“Are you sure?” I mocked. “Because your dad gave you a tough time being in the pound,” my face cuddled up in Thaddeus’ neck.
“They will see us less-god-like then; I think it will be good for the pack to see us as one of them.” Theon puffed his chest, pretending to look down at commoners. Thaddeus laughed, pushing Theon away in mock play until a young girl came by with an elaborate basket filled with food. Not just food but drinks, chocolates, whipped cream, and even some clothing.
“What’s that?” I asked no one in particular. Lenhi giggled, pointing to my mates and walking away at me.
“It’s their mating basket. Each pack does something traditional for their pack members when they find their mates. Red Moon gets a basket, and as for you, you will see what you get when we head back to Bergarian.” Theon’s eyebrows wiggled, leading me away from the door. My fingers interlaced with the both of them, heading to the cafeteria where all the food was prepared in the bunker now laid in the dining hall.
Walking by a door, a loud thud and scratches ran down the door on the other side. I went to turn to open the door, fearing someone was stuck inside when my mates shook their heads and led me away. I didn’t question it, just sat down with Alpha Big Paw, Lenhi, and the dark figures that had followed Bohdi into the territory.
“We were waiting until the King and Queen arrived, but they seem to be held up. I’m Matthew, and this is my brother Ajax. We are Bodhi’s traveling bodyguards that she never needs.” He chuckled. Both Matthew and Ajax were tall, sporting the same dark hair color but completely different styles. Matthew was cut short; a few scars were seen through the buzz cut he wore. It was a bit of a longer buzz cut, but that didn’t take away from his bad-boy vibe. Ajax’s hair was down to his chest, silky smooth, any hair shampoo model would be jealous of. His eyebrow ring was thin while the gages in his ears were wide.
Ajax bowed his head, and they both took a seat in front of us. Proper introductions must have been made with Alpha Big Paw earlier. Suddenly, the door swung open, the same door where I heard pounding, scratches, and perhaps moaning. Alpha Seth’s slicked-back hair was tousled until he ran his hand through it; he straightened his shirt and zipped his pants up when he thought everyone was done looking. Obviously, this was a regular occurrence because no one batted an eye. I, on the other hand, watched mystified as my mates’ tiny mother walked out with a furious blush on her face. Hickies were around her neck like a chocker, but her appearance was that what she was, a queen.
Sadie’s dress she wore was still prim and proper, not a wrinkle on it and her hair meticulously flowed down her back in a slight curl. How the hell did she do that? Seth bent down for a quick peck on her lips before he offered his arm and brought her to the table, setting her right on his lap.
“Ajax,” Seth pointed to the long-haired warlock, then again at Matthew. “Matthew,” Seth said quickly and nodded his head.
“That’s all I needed to know. Can you put a ward on the territory until further plans are made?”
The two seemingly scary bodyguards were now shaking their heads nervously, ready to cower back into the hoods of their cloaks.
“Trinity,” Sadie grabbed my hand from across the table. “Your mother is doing much better; she should be in a regular room tonight. I hope you don’t mind, but I think she and your father have some catching up to do,” she winked. “They will complete their bond, that way, he will always have a pull where she is, and her body will become stronger.” Smiling back at her, I whispered, “thank you.”
Seth grunted. “Now you are quiet, huh? You weren’t so quiet in the mirror telling me how badly I treat my sons.” My eyebrows furrowed. Not caring if he was some king of some nation, father to my mates, he didn’t have a right to treat them like that to make them feel less than. Theon and Thaddeus had done a fantastic job going from one conundrum to another.
“Listen here,” I pointed my finger right back at the oversized pincushion. “I’m Theon and Thaddeus’ mate, and if I feel like someone is being a douche bag or cutting them down, I’ll voice my opinion. You weren’t with them the past six months they searched for me, nor did you go out looking at least it didn’t look like you were looking,” I taunted. “So who is being the real a*s-hole here? Besides, it wasn’t you that came to their rescue; it was me. By the declaration of the Humane Society of Montana, I own both Bambi and Thumper.” Seth’s eyes continued to look into mine; not a twitch on his face could be seen. The tables around us were quiet; even Sadie had a hand on Seth’s other hand, squeezing the life out of it.
“And now, they own me.” I smiled sweetly, linking my arms between my mates. “I will protect them physically and verbally; they are strong, capable, and extremely handsome,” I cooed into Theon’s ear.
“f*****g hot, I tell you, those redheads.” Thaddeus’ voice rang through my head.
“You were right; the first day we laid eyes on her, you said the same thing,” Theon replied to Thaddeus. I gasped loudly, causing the table to continue to stare at me like I had lost my head.
“I can hear you!” I yelled. Thaddeus leaned in.
“Yes, I can hear you, as well as everyone in the room.” Sadie giggled, which broke the tension between Seth and me while he cooed at her. Gods, my inlaws were almost sickening.
“NO! I heard you in my head!” I pointed at my head, continued to poke it until I drove a nail through it. “You said, ‘f*****g hot, I tell you, those redheads!’ Slamming my hand on the table, my smile widened.
“You are as dumb as a pile of rocks; it is the mind-link. You can talk to me, and you can talk to your mates. Soon you can talk to the whole pack once the Luna ceremony takes place.” Eva chimed in my head.
“You hear that!” Thaddeus yelled throughout the pack dining room. “My mate told off my dad, and now she can mind-link me sexy dirty secrets!” The male wolves raised their glasses, banging them on the table; Theon grabbed and dipped the hell out of my body until his lips smashed onto mine. His tongue entered my mouth; starved for his affection, I pulled his body closer. Whistles and yells faded to nothing until Thaddeus’ voice rang through my head.
“My turn, my turn!” His temper tantrum had Theon let go, throwing me into Thaddeus’ arms while his lips captured mine. My fingers ran through Thaddeus’ growing beard halting his drool-worthy k**s. Nuzzling into my neck, he set me down gently. Looking back onto the dining hall, everyone was eating, drinking, and having a normal conversation like nothing ever happened.
All except one person. The royal pincushion.
Theon and Thaddeus sat me down on the table, both arms around my waist. Their faces beaming around the room that they had won the best prize. I’m not sure how long I would be a prize because I think King Sethypoo was going to kick my a*s.
Seth tilted his head; the scar going through his brow made him more menacing. The tattoos creeping up his neck from his shirt, his thighs big enough to rip through his black jeans, this guy was a beast. He had over a hundred years to train his body into a war machine while his little mate sat in a baby blue dress going over…paperwork?
Seth’s ring-clad finger came down on the table to make a point, his eyebrow arched, looking at either of his sons. “I like her.” My head tilted back a bit, shocked by the words that slipped from his mouth. “She’ll be good for you both. Now, meeting tomorrow morning, eight a.m. in one of the downstairs conference rooms. Hopefully, Sorceress Bohdi can take a break for an hour to discuss our plan of attack. None of this sit and s**t waiting for things to happen. We attack first.
Seth scooted back from the chair; Sadie highlighted several documents. With the beast standing up and his warmth no longer near her, she shook her head to look up at him and smile. “Oh, did you tell her you like her?” Seth nodded his head; gathering her papers, she laced her fingers with his.
“Great to see you, Trinity! We will need some of that fire tomorrow morning during our planning. Don’t keep her up late, boys!” Sadie took two steps per one large one Seth gave as they headed out of the dining from.
“That….” Ajax continued to stare as the two fleeting personages left the room. “Was the weirdest thing I have ever seen. I pray to the goddess my mate isn’t so starkly different.” Ajax continued to roll his fingers over his temples. Matthew laughed, slapping his brother on the back.
“Could you imagine?” Matthew began. “If Seth, the dark beast, as they used to call him on Earth long ago, had an equally menacing mate? s**t, both worlds would be on fire.”
Theon took a sip from his drink. “Hell, try living with them,” he smiled. “It was the best childhood I ever could have asked for, and it wasn’t because we lived in the castle.” Thaddeus stole Theon’s drink, taking a sip.
“Nope, it was the love and hope they wanted to bring both worlds. Sometimes you need a little darkness to make the light shine brighter,” Thaddeus pecked my lips as Theon rubbed my thigh.
“Yeah, they did a pretty good job making the both of you,” I mind-linked.
