Her Forever

(Book 5)- Chapter 53

Spencer

I dabbed a bit of b***d from my neck and eyebrow, smiling at my good friend Landon. Landon was a formidable character to read at times. His outward appearance can give anyone the hebbie jebbies, but he was a trustworthy wolf, however. He would have your pack in an instant.

Landon was also closed off in the mate department. Not once growing up did he mention his desire to find a mate; his parents weren’t the happiest of mates initially, and maybe that was why. His mother and a human fell in love, not a mate bond love, one that grew over time. Of course, the human didn’t understand what a mate bond was or understood its power. Once his mother found her mate, she knew she had to leave the human, but her heart still felt guilty for the human she turned away. His mother kept a picture of him, thought of him often since his heart was so broken over losing his werewolf lover.

Landon thought she should have gotten rid of the picture but once found it at the bottom of her dresser drawer, but his mother was too kind and guilt-ridden. Landon’s mother moved on once the human had died; he lived a loveless life until he hit the ripe age of eighty. All that time, Landon’s mother thought it was her fault, but it was only the human who decided he could not love another.

Things are better now with his parents; Landon was born after he died. His parents reside in Bergarian; Landon decided to live out his days in the Earth realm at just ten years old when they needed a head warrior; he applied, showed his strength, and was thoroughly trained until he came of age. Not only that, Landon looks like the indigenous people that lived here. He never looked at another woman, especially human; that is was probably why he was so mean to Stacy when she first confessed a crush on him so long ago.

“So, you and Stacy, huh?” I wiggled my eyebrows, elbowing his ribs. The fierce tone he always showed could easily break when in my presence alone, but when others were around, not so much. He was supposed to be the trainer, a Gamma who is in charge of fighting, defense, offense. However, this pack was small, and Alpha Big Paw preferred not to have a title over Landon’s head. Landon wasn’t one for titles anyway.

“How long have you known?” I pried, still bumping into his shoulder as we walked.

“You did that on purpose,” he spat while his gate became longer.

“Brother, whatever do you mean?” I faked innocence, a slight pout baring on my l*p. “Why would I play such a game with you?” Landon smacked his lips together, stopping, putting his index finger into my chest.

“You knew, you knew that Stacy was my mate. How did you figure it out? I’ve stayed away from her for 3 years since I’ve known, and then one day everyone is out to get me, pushing my wolf to where I cannot control him!?” Landon’s huffs and growls reverberated in his chest, several warriors passing by glanced only to continue on with their patrols, pointing at several spots in the forest.

“It wasn’t me that noticed,” I raised my hands up. “Trinity took notice; why she could see it, I do not know. She’s still all new to this,” I shrugged my shoulders, continuing off into the middle of the courtyard. Landon shook his head, both hands rubbed his temples.

“What I want to know is, why has it taken you this long to claim her? She hasn’t dated anyone except Elijah, who was recent, and we all knew that wasn’t going to last. She was the only one that didn’t know he wasn’t into her. On top of that, you rejected her years ago! Could you not go back and eat a bit of crow and beg for her back?”

Landon sighed, a growl left his lips. “I was embarrassed, alright,” he crossed his bare chest with his hairy arms. “I liked her then, but she announced it like it was the most obvious thing. She smiled and was all giddy while the rest of the human snickered and laughed. I didn’t need something like that happening to her like when my mom dated that one human.”

Oh. Well, that makes sense.

“You got stage fright then? Couldn’t go back and beg her back? Get on her knees and say, ‘oh, I love you, Stacy! I made a mistake!'” I used my high-pitched voice, making kissy faces at Landon.

“Wank off,” Landon let down his arms. While we went westward of the packhouse, a small group of cloaked figures came through the forest. “Oh, hell,” Landon shifted into his wolf before I could comprehend what was happening. Lightening pierced before my feet, causing me to stumble back.

Alpha Big Paw was there instantly, standing in front of me, covering other young warriors that were still left at the packhouse. It wasn’t long until the small band of cloaked figures were surrounded by the Royal Warrior Pack and several from the Red Moon.

The black-cloaked figure in the front had long chestnut-colored hair with highlights of light purples. My eyes couldn’t stay off of her or him while their delicate fingers began to tickle the hem of their cloak covering their face. A stiff breeze blew past, and the light smell of jasmine in spring sprung to my nose. Landon growled as the bowed head began to lift up slightly. My wolf immediately pushed Landon away, causing a disruption with Alpha Big Paw to look behind us. The warning growl meant for me had me bare my neck, yet another lightning bolt flew from the sky to the ground right in front of my alpha.

My heart skipped, my palms sweaty; it reminded me of when I found out that Liz was my mate. She took one look at me and scoffed. My looks did not appease her; my status did not make her run to me for comfort. She thought of me as nothing but a meaningless pack member. I could fight; I was strong but not the title she wanted. A Luna, ahead warrior like Landon, or even a rich wolf that could make their own Earth realm pack if they wanted.

I was nothing to her. Nothing until something better came along.

The ground rolled again, the trees shook the remaining dead leaves from the trees. The earth convulsed, pebbles moving towards the center of the three unknown cloaked individuals. Whoever I was mated to, would they think the same thing as Liz?

My eyes dared to look up, to find the sweet smell of jasmine where it originated. The cloak hood was now pulled back; the beautiful purples highlighted her blue eyes as she stared back at me. She was a sorceress, a coven leader. The two sorcerers flanking her sides were nothing but offense and defensive magic welders. She wasn’t just any witch; she was Bohdi.

My second chance mate was Bohdi, the Sorceress who has frequent conversations with Hades himself, in touch with the gods, and the new goddess Parisa. She helps Selene with pairings of souls.

This woman was nothing like the history books had described. The small scar in her eyebrow from the Dark War stood firm, but the rest of her body was flawless. The shawls covering her body didn’t hide her hourglass shape and the ample plump of her breasts. She was more beautiful than Aphrodite herself and her delicate hands finer than any marbled statue. Slight tremors fell into her fingertips as a step forward was taken towards me. She didn’t look her age at all.

Sorceress Bohdi was too perfect for a wolf-like me. Liz had already proven that. Bohdi would reject me for sure. I had nothing to offer her; I was not the strongest of the pack, I held no material worth, and by gods, I wasn’t the most handsome man. The only thing I had going for me was my patience, my purity that I waited for my mate. Would that be enough? Would it be a turn-off for her? That I had no idea what I was really doing to give her pleasure she just deserves at the mere 637 years old?

Gods, my mate was a cougar; my d**k sprung in surprise. She was an older woman who didn’t look any older than me but had life experience. And gods, it was the hottest thing.

Just then, Trinity’s firey red hair flew past me, breaking me of my eye contact. Bohdi shook her head, her feet still stepping forward, closer to Alpha Big Paw.

“And who might you be?” Alpha Big Paw spoke in his Alpha voice. Bohdi smiled, pulling out her hand for him to greet her. Before a word edgewise could be brought from her lips, I stood in front of my alpha.

“Alpha, this is Sorceress Bohdi,” one knee went to the ground, my arm over my chest, my face looked downward. Only breathing wolves could be heard until Bohdi got on both of her knees in the dirt of all places. Taking both of her hands onto my face, she touched my slightly stubbled cheeks. Fire-like touches dashed across my skin, her nails stroked my chin. How did this woman know how I liked to be touched?

“My sweet mate, why do you kneel before me?” My eyes glanced at hers. Her voice feathery voice lifted my soul.

“Because I am not worthy of someone so beautiful, so powerful, so gracious if you wish to reject me, I would never hold it against you.” My heart clutched tightly; I didn’t want her to reject me, but damn, I had nothing to give her.

“As long as you give me your heart, I would never ask for anything more.” Bohdi’s smile widened, my hands grabbed either side of her face as I kissed her lips. With the warmth of her lips, her body pressed against mine, we didn’t bother to stand up from the cold ground. The heat of our bodies lay down in the leaves while our hands roamed each other’s bodies.

People better f*****g leave because I would mark her right here.

“Uh, oh,” Alpha Big Paw muttered, but I was too busy to recognize the situation. Liz had been released and was now screaming obscenities at other wolves, telling them to get us off the ground. Many laughed, pushing her away; her cries were but a distant memory while we heard loud thumps hitting the ground.

Trinity

“What I miss?” My body was dripping from the creek water, my hands on my h**s as I heaved over the now wet ground. Cardio wasn’t my strong suit, and I knew that was something I would have to work on.

“By gods, why are you wet?” Theon ran to me, pulling off his shirt and shoving it over my body. I gripped hold of him, holding him tight. “Just having a mental breakdown, you know, nothing major. But I missed a lot!” My hand waved to the couple rolling in the leaves, getting closer and closer to the fire. “Who are they?”

Thaddeus walked up, still in his half-wolf form, growling. “Sorceress Bohdi and Spencer,” I yelled in happiness, jumping up and down, hugging Theon, and quickly going to Thaddeus to give him his little scritches under his maw. “This is great! Who is Bohdi, though?” My smile tugged on either side of my cheeks, surely going to be sore tomorrow as I watched them both go at it, groping each other while the same wolves from the other day that stared at Theon, Thaddeus and I, got hotdogs and popcorn out.

“That,” Theon started to wave his finger around, “is Sorceress Bohdi. Strongest Sorceress in the Earth Realm. She can talk to several gods and has a great ward and binding spell to keep our borders in check until we figure out what we will do next. We will have to solve some more issues while fighting against some of these rogues. The weaponry is getting to be more advanced than we anticipated.” I nodded.

“Yeah, well, your sister Mia, who is very blunt but also nice, by the way, said it was due to a Kitsune. More specifically, a Nogitsune.” Thaddeus rolled his eyes.

“I don’t know what that is; I guess we will be briefed after we get these two to their own room,” Thaddeus looked at the couple rolling on the ground, Spencer’s shirt was off, pants halfway down his butt, and the cloak was ripped entirely off the sorcerer. Her hair was a knotted mess of leaves and dirt.

“I’m not touching that,” I put my hands up. “That is for someone else to deal with.” Linhi walked up, shoved a content baby into Alpha Big Paw’s arms, and pulled me with her.

“Oh yes, it is! It’s an unspoken rule with Lunas. You help separate mates so they can be put in a proper room. You grab Spencer since you know him so much.” I g*****d, gone to pull him by his ankles and pulled his body away. Several wolves with popcorn in their hands started whining, throwing their food towards us like we spoiled the fun for the day.
