Her Forever

(Book 3)- Chapter 54

Willa’s POV

Orion and the Red-Headed Fury all drew their swords in fighting stance. I stood back, still standing near the Alpha’s mate. “You need to leave; you did not follow proper protocol. Who is to say you are here with the right intentions or some damn magical creature impersonating King Orion?” the man spat.

“It’s me, Orion; if we followed protocol, it would be too late. Now, do you want to hear why we are here?” Orion looked smug as if he had won, but the sparkle in the man’s eye said he wasn’t done. Orion instantly unbuckled his cape as it drifted to the ground while I stood wide-eyed. I had never seen him in action, so now I get to see a show.

Instead of advancing,, Orion and the man continued to hurl insults at one another, and it was becoming rather dull. “So do you throw sparkles when you fly around the flowers?” the giant taunted. Eamon screamed, “the f**k?!” before he started inching forward, Orion swung out his hand so Eamon couldn’t advance.

“Let me ask a question, did you crawl out of your mother’s womb, or did you hatch from an egg and eat your brother?” Burly man gritted his teeth in anger as scales started to pop out over his body and smoke started to swirl. I should be scared beyond belief, but I had a feeling it was just a man’s argument trying to see who’s d**k was more extensive.

“Yours?” I pointed to the half-shifted dragon in front of me. She nodded as she continued watching with a hand on her h*p.

“Mine’s the one with the tiny pointy stick waving it around your mate. He’s King Orion. She made a long, “ohhhhhh,” and looked relieved.

“Hmm, would you like something to eat?” The woman beside me spoke, raising her eyebrow in question. The now large red dragon in front of me let me know she was indeed the mate of this crazy alpha. The reds in her hair and the red in his scales were proof enough.

“Sure! I’m starving!” She held out her arm, and I took it gladly; Fionn looked concerned as I waved at him, letting him know I would be in the hut across the central courtyard. All the men gathered and very few females stopped the bickering as we strolled over to the large hut that had smoke dancing from the stack.

“I’m Amora, and that was Adam. Sorry, you seemed to have met him in a foul mood,” she waved her hand.

“It’s alright; Orion can be hot-headed at times. They mean well. I’m Willa.” The outside of the hut was like the others. A strong cement-like mud coated the walls, but once you entered, it was a different entirely.

The insides looked magnificent, one that you could see in the palace itself. Dark marbled floors with deep red walls and brightly lit chandeliers lit the entire room. Long, low tables were scattered across the room that reminded me of the dining room of a packhouse. Several women led us to a smaller table, still the same height as the others, which was fairly low. Beautiful cushions with intricate beating and blankets scatted below the table. Sitting on the cushion, they brought me several different kinds of drinks as Amora whispered a few things to the maiden beside her.

“Welcome to the Toboki tribe. What brings you here so suddenly? We aren’t used to visitors,” she laughed lightly as she poured wine into my cup.

“Yes, well, we are here on important matters. We know we are supposed to go through the Moon Kingdom to reach you, but there wasn’t enough time.” Amora urged me to continue as a plate of steak was placed before me

“There are witches and sorcerers from the B***d Coven that are after dragon’s b***d. They may have been trying to infiltrate the mountains.” Amora’s fork dropped to the table, causing the entire room of servants stare at her in shock.

“Come again,” she whispered. “You mean the strange sightings we have been seeing have not been fairies or sprites?”

“Why would they be fairies or sprites? Orion said they were forbidden to come to the mountain except for spring to get a jump start on your crops.” Amora gripped her fork again, and her wings began to shutter.

“We thought it was them, the way they moved and would disappear suddenly. I swore I saw one myself. Are you sure they are witches?” I nodded again.

“I have a spy in the B***d Coven, and she sent word they are specifically targeting the dragons in the mountains. They need the b***d to make their spells stronger, and on top of that, they are working with a fae trying to overthrow the Light Kingdom. It’s a big fat mess,” I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms.

Not one day of peace.

“This is some news then. That’s why my Adam has been so angry. I told him there had to be a reason why Orion would send fairies here; there was no way he would go back on his policies.”

“I’m sorry for the misunderstanding and the past few weeks with the battle your tribe helped us win and then having to deal with me as a new mate didn’t help matters.” I took a large bite of the steak in front of me and instantly m****d. “Holy cow, this is amazing. I haven’t been served anything like this since living in the palace. Light fae fish food and little cucumber sandwiches is all I eat at the palace.” Amora laughed.

“Yes, it is a bit heavy for me, but once I was bonded, my taste changed. You must be half something else?” Her eyebrows raised.

“I’m part siren. Before I was half-human, and I loved burgers and steaks,” I popped another piece in my mouth and let my tastebuds savor the flavor before swallowing. “Please tell me this is a cow and not some funky animal?” Amora laughed and slapped her hand on the table.

“Oh yes, we have a herding facility that the whole shifter dragon colony takes turns taking care of. We have quite a few cows from the Earth realhlm, and we are the only colony in the shifter kingdom that has them.” I sighed as I took another bite.

“Maybe we can come up with some sort of agreement; I’m sure I’m the only one that would want to eat it at the palace besides some visiting werewolves. Amora looked at me with interest, “you are certainly different. I’ve never heard of a half siren half-fae. How do your wings look?”

I gave a blush as I patted my mouth with the napkin. “Oh, it’s nothing.” Amora continued to press until I finally let my wings out, and the whole room went silent again. Many came forward to look closely at the colors that shimmered on the wings.

“Like a butterfly,” one murmured while others commented they look like a humming birds’ wing. I started giggling, realizing what I was drinking was some strong alchol but was sweet like candy.

Amora and I sat and talked while the boys continued to yell and scream at each other outside. They had gone at it for more than an hour as we talked about how we met our mates. Coming to a conclusion we were both head over heels for our mates. There were a few sentences saying we should go check on them but laughed some more and let them keep fighting. Laughing more at the silly things that alpha say or do when it comes to their mates and to assert their dominance, I had almost forgot about the one man that really reeked of male testosterone, Creed.

“Hey, Amora, who is Creed?” Amora stopped laughing and had a small smile at the mention of his name.

“He was my childhood, but he holds a sweet place in my heart. I am only telling you some of his story since you are the queen and have the right to know.” Amora brushed her hair to the side and started to braid it as she continued. “He is Adam’s half brother, his mother was raped at an early age, and no one really knows who the father was. When Adam’s mother found her true mate, and Adams father, he still accepted her because he loved her the way she was, with or without a child that wasn’t his.” I swooned internally with a man that would still accept a woman even though misfortune fell on her. There were too many times I had heard men not persuing women due to having a child that wasn’t their own.

“Adam’s mother loved Creed, and when Adam came along, she loved them both equally, as did their father. Adam was still jealous of Creed, thinking he was just a monstrous creature once Creed first shifted. Creed was different and not fully dragon, but I still cared for him the same because he loved as his mother loved. Without discrimination and with passion.” Amora turned as she gave our plates to the servants next to us.

“Adam made Creed look like he was a monster after their parents died during a brawl with a neighboring tribe. Once Adam became alpha, it didn’t take much convincing to turn their backs on Creed. He was always different, quiet and brutally strong. Many were scared of him and feared he would want to take over the tribe even though he was not the first born son of Adam’s father. Everyone turned on him and called him a monster and a beast the way he would fight to defend our tribe. Creed was a true warrior but people feared him.

Creed left the tribe because they had shunned him but expects him to fight their battles. Creed secretly protected the women and children on the outskirts of our territory.” Part of me wanted to question why Adam was so cruel to his brother but I kept silent. How could Amora love a man who can be so cruel to his own half brother. The bond and love can make one so blind. I’m not that way am I?

Creed sounded like an outstanding person even though he was treated harshly. Creed’s story pulled at my heartstrings; I hope he could find a mate.

“You know the worst part?” Amora spoke quietly. “They say he can’t have a mate because he was conceived without a bond and through force.” I gasped loudly; my heart just crumbled to pieces.

“Surely not, there has to be-“ Amora shook her head. “It’s what the elders say,…” She trailed off while I grabbed her hands. She had a close relationship with Creed, which made me wonder if they were once together. A little tear was wiped away as she sniffed.

“He was like a brother to me,” she whispered. “Sorry, one of my gifts is light mind-reading, and you are really loud.” I giggled, the alcohol finally hitting my system.

“Um, can Creed be prosueded with a siren song?” I asked curiously. Please say it worked so I didn’t embarrass myself. Amora laughed and shook her head no.

“Siren’s have no power on a dragon; a dragon’s magical abilities are too strong.” I g*****d and put my head on the table.

Amora gasped while laughing, “what did you do?!” A squeal was heard from her as tears leaked from her eyes. The alcohol must have hit her too because we were both laughing loudly.

“I sang to the tune of “Wheels on the Bus,” I thought about what a bus looked like and hummed the son in my head. Amora spits out a bit of wine from her mouth, “and I commanded him to take us here!” I fell to the cushion dramatically,. Amora crawled to me on the other side of the table, and we both held onto each other in laughter.

A few throats were clearing as we both looked up from the floor of our mates Adam and Orion with amused smirks on their faces. “Are you both done measuring your d***s now?” Amora laughed while I snorted out a giggle again.

“Oh, I can tell you how big Orion’s is; it is this,…” I held up both my hands to show Amora but Orion picked me up and threw me over his shoulder. “That’s enough wine for you, Darling, and smacked my butt harshly.

“Again, daddy!” I squealed, and Amora laughed harder while trying to catch her breath.

“Adam! They have the same kinks we do! I like calling him, Master!” Adam turned a bright red and pulled up Amora and whispered in her ear as she blushed profusely. Adam must be a bit shy..

“We will take you to your sleeping quarters and talk more in the morning before you leave,” Adam spoke with authority. I g*****d as we walked out, not liking the swaying I was currently experiencing upside down. Understanding my predicament, Orion set me down and kissed me on the side of my head.

“Thank you, my love!” I pulled him in for a quick peck while he gave me a smirk.

We were led outside to the main courtyard and sent to a small hut in the woods, away from most of the other dragons for privacy. Amora kept explaining to Adam how we were still in our “honeymoon stage” and “no one needs to hear that.”

Again, the hut looked small on the outside, but the inside was magnificent. It was just a large bedroom with a small kitchen nook in the corner, enough to make coffee or tea, and had a few things in a miniature fridge such as custard cakes and drinks. The bed was a large king with a deep red comforter with black sheets. The entire place was carpeted and had a warm feeling as opposed to the cold lurking into the tribe tonight.

“We will leave you to it then,” Adam gave a solid handshake to Orion who nodded in agreement. Once the large door was shut to the hut, Orion turned around and bit his bottom l*p while smiling, which I found extremely sexy.

“Now, Darling, we need to talk.”
