Her Forever

(Book 3)- Chapter 46

Willa’s POV

My teeth were itching, it was the strangest feeling but also the overwhelming of wanting to kill whatever woman was down there. I could feel my wings get agitated as a large scowl landed on my face.

“Who is that?” I growled at Orion who stood to look at me in shock. His hand went out to grab me, but I slapped it away. The fury running through my veins was started to take over because before he had a chance to answer I ran out the door. Not even thinking I jumped off the broken porch façade of a treehouse and fluttered to the ground.

As I landed, I put one hand out to steady me, if only Violet could see me now, I looked like freaking Iron Man about to blow up the terrorists.

The woman before me was beautiful, with long blonde hair with bright green eyes. She had the similar features of a fae but one could tell easily she was an elf. The Elven people had a slightly tanner skin than the fae and their ears were not quite as pointed. Her dressing was also different as she wore tight clothes that resembled leaves that wrapped around her body like a second skin.

The woman’s breath hitched and looked at me in horror. “I am so sorry, I thought Orion was up there. I didn’t mean to disturb you!” Her voice began to stutter as she backed away from me.

“Oh, he is up there alright,” my wings jolted me forward as I grabbed her by the neck and pinned her to the tree. I felt Orion’s presence as he grabbed my shoulder, my body instantly relaxed as he kissed my mark.

“Darling, let her go and let me explain,” his voice was as smooth as the first time I heard him speak those weeks ago. It calmed me as my teeth started to tingle once more and were no longer sharp. My grip lessened but not enough to let go. “Who are you,” I growled at her. The fear in her eyes was evident, she dared not look at Orion, only at me, the one whose life I was now holding.

“I’m Lura. Orion’s cousin!” she tried to speak but it came out small and meek. My face of anger quickly went to embarrassment a I let her go. Lura started coughing, grabbing her throat and I tried to help her up.

“I’m so sorry, I don’t know what came over me! I’ve never hurt anyone, I’m so sorry!” My words came out rushed while Orion and Lura started laughing at my apology.

“It’s alright!” She waved her hand around. “I should have been more careful. I heard he had yet to complete the bond with you and from the looks of it you haven’t marked him yet so of course, you would be overprotective. It’s normal!” I held my breath; I was so insanely jealous I about killed someone. My eyes went glassy only for Orion to shush me and pull me to his chest.

“Darling, it is alright. It is normal.” He kissed my forehead but the feeling of disappointment in myself was still there. Something else controlled my body and I didn’t like it. “You are both siren and fae, you will have trouble battling both at times, but you will get the hang of it with your emotions. I just need you to mark me before we head back to the palace, so you don’t kill anyone,” he laughed again. I cringed as he spoke about killing someone.

“Anyway,” Lura said as she tried to break the tension. “We are starting a large feast and wanted to know if you both would like to join? It’s actually in honor of the new kingdom.” My stomach immediately growled at the thought of food. It had been almost four days since I had eaten anything.

“Think that answers your question, lead the way Lura.” Orion put his hand on the small of my back and we followed her through the forest. The trees were dense and not much sunlight reached the floor. Several animals scurried away as they heard us coming down the path.

“Father will be please to see you, he’s so proud of you, Orion. Being able to not only stand up to the Fae Court but also to your own family. That took some real guts,” Lura spoke.

“I only did what was best for the country, it’s my job after all.” Orion smiled at me and kissed the temple of my head.

We traveled for twenty minutes and making small talk, Lura was his cousin on his mother’s side. His Uncle, Zaos was the eldest of his mother’s siblings that was mated to an elven woman named Annabelle and moved to the elven tribe when they met some 600 years ago. Orion often would escape his father’s etiquette lessons and find himself amongst the elves and played with Lura as she grew. She was the sister that Orion never had and had a great deal of a soft spot for her.

Lura was very sore with Orion not mentioning it to her that we would be staying in their old tree house. Orion had to explain it was time for him and I to have some alone time and she immediately understood.

“Everyone will be so excited to see you! The whole group!” Lura spoke excitedly and Orion scratched his neck nervously.

“They are all mated right?” he chuckled nervously. I let out a growl and Luna started laughing hysterically.

“Oh, yes, all of them from our group of friends, no need to worry. You were the last one to find your mate and let me say that the goddess did well!” I blushed to hide my face.

“That she did,” Orion agreed as he grabbed my waist and pulled me in for a passionate k**s. Do we really need to go to dinner?

We arrived at the elven tribe, there are several scattered around The Light Kingdom, but this was the largest one called The Silver Light Tribe. The elves had many huts on the ground but also many homes in the trees. A series of rope bridges, ladders and swings were all over the trees and several simple elevators made of bamboo, assuming for the older ones or to transport large amounts of food or goods to their homes.

There was a roaring fire in the middle of the area along with several smaller ones cooking various foods. The large fire had a massive animal called a sokeophant that resembled a hairy mammoth. The meat would be cooked and stored in various underground food storage that keeps food frozen and cold for the winter months. Elves were very much into nature, like all the supernatural’s, and used every part of an animal. Bones, hair, eyes, you name it Lura said they would use it.

As we walked forward there was a long table that could seat at least 50 people on each side. Small children were running around with sticks and balls as they were whacking it side to side in some sort of game. Several girls were playing with marbles while their mothers continued to stir stew and other elven women came out of huts holding large plates of biscuits and bread.

My stomach growled again, and Orion held me tightly. “Father!” Lura yelled waving violently. “Your hunt was fruitful! How did you get such a massive beast down yourself!?” Lura ran up and gave Zaos a hug.

“No, your mate Matteo help me. Once the beast was brought down the elders helped bring the beast in pieces.” Zaos gave his daughter a cheek and motioned for us to come over. Zaos gave one look to Orion and let out the biggest greeting. “ORION! My favorite nephew! What brings you here?”

“Trying to get away from people, but we keep getting found out,” Orion muttered under his breath. I giggled and nudged his arm and he only sighed while his arm still wrapped around me possessively. “Just trying to have a small vacation before the coronation and binding ceremony. Looks like the trees talk too much for us to hide.”

Zaos laughed and gave a large pat on the back. “Well, congratulations to you both anyway. By gods your wings are stunning, I’ve never seen anything like it!” I blushed and leaned closer to Orion and murmured a thank you.

Zaos goes to touch them, but Orion immediately slaps his hand. “You may be my uncle, but you cannot touch what is mine,” he hissed. Zaos backed up with both his hands up. “Finally, showing some emotion there, glad your father’s classes didn’t mess you up too badly,” he grinned. “How’s your father? Have you spoken to him recently?

Orion stood back and looked down with me with sorrowful eyes. “No, I do know they accepted the invitation to the celebration a week or so’s time. Maybe they will come early so we can patch things up.”

“You know,” Zaos grabs a pocketknife from his belt and starts to play with it. “He will be proud of you; you both have very different personalities on how to handle things and the way you handled it was best for this kingdom. He will see that when he gets here. And he will love your mate, I can already tell.”

“Thank you, Uncle, that means a lot to me,” Orion gave a large smile.

“Of course, we were all rooting for you! That three-day battle, that one will go down in history as the shortest victory to date!” He slapped Orion’s back again and looked at me. “And certainly, you will too, there have been rumors for you to half siren and half-human, now it looks like the fae b***d completed your body and now you are merge of the two. It certainly suits you; you are such an exotic specimen.”

I didn’t know what to say so I just nodded my head. I wasn’t some animal to be gawked at, but he had been nice to Orion so far, I kept my mouth shut, not sure how far I can go for reprimanding people just yet. “Come,” he waved. “Come sit, we don’t use chairs, just the cushion of the soil. Food will be presented, and entertainment will be provided because of your presence! Malki! Go get the dancers!”

Orion explained the dynamics to me briefly how the elves ran their tribe. Zaos was voted the tribal leader some years ago once he became mated with his wife, Annabelle. The fae b***d made him strong since he had a high-ranking b***d like his father before him. Annabelle was the previous elven leader’s daughter, It was a matched made by the gods and they had been governing side by side.

The group was coming together quickly, men and women started to flood the tables with colorful foods of bread, meat, vegetables, desserts, and drinks of all kinds. Many I had never seen such as the palace when I first arrived. Each tribe had their own unique tastes, and I was about to engorge myself with all of it.

As I was gawking at the food, the heated stares burned my skin. Looking around I see males, females, and children staring at both of us. Mostly with curiosity they started whispering and I knew they were talking about us. I grabbed Orion’s arm and to silently ask what it was about. Orion pulled me close and kissed my lips as I tried to hide from the stares. I never like being the center of attention, I don’t now how this world couldn’t figure that out but here we are.

“Your wings, Darling. No one in this world has wings as you do.” I fluttered them a few times and the little children gathered around my legs asking if they could touch them. Orion let out a soft growl letting them know it wasn’t alright. “Wings are sensitive and are only meant to be touch by mates. I’ll let it slide since you didn’t know.” The children nodded their heads before scatting while laughing how Orion growled like a wolf.

Zaos guided us to the head seat at the table, which felt odd, this wasn’t our tribe, I wanted to sit in the middle so I can blend in a little. I tried to have my wings folded back into my body, but Orion urged me not to. “It’s showing we are no longer hiding behind our natural state. We are making a statement among the elves we are changing the kingdom. Even the sprites and a few fairies are spreading the word about us being out I the open. Hopefully when we return, many will follow suit.” Orion brushed my white hair off my shoulder and kissed his mark that gave me a pleasurable chill. “They are beautiful, you should be proud. Your father will be most pleased you kept your family’s colors.”

Nuzzling up close to Orion we were both gifted by large plates of food. There were no utensils and you had to use your hands to eat, but I was too hungry to care. I saw many licking their fingers and burping out loud. I tried not to laugh but a few escaped my lips. Annabelle looked over and gave a light chuckle. “I forget you were raised human and don’t know our ways. Burping is a sign of thankfulness and how well the food tastes.” I laughed out loud again, “I love it! I just wasn’t prepared!” Orion started laughing at me as we started speaking about the random traditions of the tribe.

Orion held up a piece of meat up to my lips to feed me. Our eyes lingered on each other I opened my mouth to take the food. I purposefully sucked his fingers into my mouth, licking the juices from his fingers. Orion’s lips parted slightly as a small g***n left his lips. “Darling, if you don’t stop, we might need to leave.” I smirked at him as I licked my lips.

“I don’t think I would mind,” I whispered. I held up a piece of a sponge-like cake up to his mouth and his eyes never left mine as he opened his mouth and sucked my fingers in as well. I bit my l*p and tightened my thighs together as his tongue danced over the pad of my fingers. My chest heaved and Orion immediately looked to my breasts. I wanted to take him behind a tree somewhere but unfortunately there were too many people and they would know what we were doing.

Not long after dessert the suns had set, and the night was a glow through the large bonfire in the middle. Several elven women and men came out dancing in vine and leaf clothing as they danced rhythmically to the music of beating drums and wooden flutes. My smile grew wide as the men started doing flips over the fire, some even spitting out a substance that made fire come from their lips. They were all shirtless and were light on their feat as they continued their jumping. The women held large flower necklaces’ and started placing them on several men in the tribe.

“The women are choosing their dance partners for the next few songs,” Annabelle spoke proudly of her people. The pride she radiated as the little ones ran around to their parents, as well as each other, was heartwarming. If only humans on Earth could have close-knit communities like these.

Continuing to look on I felt Orion’s arm that was wrapped around me tighten and his gaze shifted to his right. A beautiful elven woman with long red hair, pinned to the side of her head with intricate braids and flowers placed a large, flowered necklace over my mates head.
