Hello, Mr. Brent

Chapter 304

Franklin frowned. He didn’t know where to find Abigail as she left without saying goodbye. However, he was not willing to stay and continue looking for her. He always felt that Daniel had set a trap for them.

So he told Emily that he would ask Jason to stay and look for Abigail. They would come back when they found out where Abigail was.

Emily knew that he wanted to go back to Lancaster. She frowned and thought for a while, "Well! You'd better ask him to check the station. Maybe she has left Irvine."

"I see. Don't worry! Jason knows." Franklin said.

Franklin let Emily get into the car first, then he told Jason and the other person to stay. Franklin was ready to continue driving back.

Emily was depressed about Abigail's sudden departure. She sighed and reached out to touch Bryce's little face. Bryce slept with a blushed face and looked very endearing.

However, Emily immediately felt something was wrong. She frowned and said to the driver, "Stop the car first."

The driver in front of her was stunned and immediately stopped the car. Franklin frowned and asked, "What's wrong?"

"Something's wrong with Bryce! He seems to have a fever.” Emily said quickly.

Franklin immediately lowered his head and put his forehead on his son's forehead when he heard Emily's words. Bryce's forehead was really hot and his face was blushed. It was not a normal blush at all.

"I think he really has a fever. How does he suddenly have a fever?” No matter how capable Franklin was, he had never taken care of a child. He didn't know what to do when facing this situation.

Emily immediately said anxiously, "It's common for children to get sick. Who knows why they have a fever? Hurry up and go to the hospital first! Let him have a medical examination and then we can find out why Bryce gets the fever.”

Franklin nodded and immediately told the driver to drive.

Emily immediately said, "We can't go back to Lancaster. Just go to the hospital here first."

Franklin sighed in his heart. Although he really wanted to leave Irvine, he shouldn't persevere in this situation. He had to ask the driver to turn around and drive to the best hospital here.

Jason and the others were still there. When they saw the car, they immediately asked what happened.

Knowing that the Little Young Master had a fever, they branched out into two groups. One group followed Franklin to the hospital, and the other went to find Abigail.

Emily and Franklin carried the child to the emergency room of the hospital because Jason had called beforehand. The hospital's staffs were already ready to take care of Bryce before Franklin and the others came for it. Bryce was treated as soon as they went into the hospital. After a series of tests, it was confirmed that he had a viral cold and needed hospitalization.

Fortunately, Bryce hadn't coughed yet, so he had only some inflammation of the bronchus, and it hadn't developed into pneumonia. Emily breathed a sigh of relief. Although Bryce had rarely been sick since he was a child, he occasionally had this kind of illness once or twice. She was also experienced and comforted Franklin, "It's okay. He just needs some intravenous drips. Then he will be okay."

"Why did he catch a viral cold? Did Daniel deliberately hurt him?" Franklin asked with a frown.

Emily immediately said, "No, he can't do that. It's normal for children to get sick in a different environment. Don't worry.”

Franklin nodded, knowing that he was narrow-minded just now.

But looking at his son who was lying on the bed and having an intravenous drip, he felt his son very pitiful and he was heartbroken.

He walked over and held his son in his arms for a while, then lowered his head and kissed his son's little face. If Emily hadn't pulled him away, he wouldn't bear to leave for a moment.

"Stay away from him. Otherwise, you will get infected,” Emily said. Franklin said, "I'm not afraid. As long as he gets better, I don't care.” "But I do care. If you get sick, my heart will ache even more.” Emily said. Franklin was stunned and couldn't help but look at her with a smile in his eyes.

Seeing Franklin's smile, Emily blushed. She quickly pouted and explained, "It's true. You're my husband. There's a saying that your child will grow up sooner or later, but your husband is the one who will spend the rest of his life with you."

"Yes. So, don't worry, baby! I won't be sick." Franklin stepped forward and held Emily in his arms. He actually called her that disgusting name again.

Emily got goosebumps as she was called by him like this. She blushed and said, "Don't call me that. It sounds weird."

"Why do you feel that it is weird? I don't care about that. But you care about that? You're my baby. You're my big baby. Bryce is my little baby. You're all my most important families.” Franklin said words of love more and more smoothly, and he couldn't stop at all.

But even if he didn't feel embarrassed, Emily was too embarrassed to listen.

Blushing, she pushed him away and said, Stop. I'll go out and buy something for Bryce. When he wakes up, he'll make a noise. He needs something delicious and fun.”

"Don't go. I'll ask the bodyguard to buy." Franklin held her wrist reluctantly.

Emily said, "They don't know what to buy. It's better if I go out.”

"Then I'll have someone go with you." Franklin was worried that she would be in danger, so he still ordered someone to follow her.

Of course, it wasn't that Franklin didn't want to go with her, but that he couldn't rest assured to let his son be alone in the ward. Although there were bodyguards at the door and doctors and nurses in the hospital, he was swayed by considerations of gain and loss as he had lost his son once.

Emily and two bodyguards went out. There was a large supermarket opposite the hospital.

Emily went in and bought some of Bryce's favorite snacks. She didn't dare to buy dry snacks for fear that Bryce would get inflammation. Then she bought a Transformers. Although the quality of the Transformers was not very good, Bryce still liked playing with it.

When she returned to the hospital, she was about to go to the children's inpatient department. Unexpectedly, she met an acquaintance as she walked to the corridor.

Iris looked at Emily and frowned, "Why are you here? Are you coming to look in on Andrew?"

Emily was stunned and said awkwardly, "I didn't know that Andrew is here. Of course, I am not here to look in on him. My son is sick and is also in this hospital.”

Iris sneered, "No wonder. I am wondering why you suddenly think of coming to look in on Andrew. If he knew, he would definitely be extremely happy. But it's a pity! Even if he died of illness, you wouldn't come to see him for once. But he still misses you so much and can't see anyone else in his eyes."

"Thank you for what happened last time.” Emily thanked her again.

Iris immediately said, "Don't keep thanking me. Andrew suspected me when he woke up. He had taught me a good lesson. If you thank me again and let him know that I did it, then I will die without a burial place.”

Emily frowned. She looked at Iris and asked, "Have you ever thought of leaving him?"

She didn't care about Iris before as she thought that Iris was not biologically connected to her. However, after what happened before, she was willing to help Iris. She knew that Anthony and Brandon were cousins, so she still had some kind of kindred with Iris.
