Hello, Mr. Brent

Chapter 235

Emily's mother's case finally went to court, and a lot of people showed up at the court that day. It was reasonable for Emily's friends and relatives to come there. But there were also people coming for Hunter and they were all working at his hospital.

Emily was surprised and thought that Hunter was extremely disgusting. It was shameless of him to invite his colleagues over to watch him standing trial for doing such an immoral thing.

But soon she found that these people were not invited by Hunter, because Hunter was also shocked to see these people. Especially when he saw the dean, he quickly asked with profound respect and humility, "Sir, why are you here?"

The dean looked at him and said faintly, "I heard you were going through divorce litigation, so I came over to take a look. After all, you are from our hospital, and we should know how you are getting along.” Hunter was sweating profusely, thinking that the dean didn't want to know what was going on with him, but just wanted to laugh at him.

In divorce litigation, things could get nasty and the two people might end up being enemies. Even if he won, when he returned to the hospital, he would be regarded as an unfaithful man. How could he work there in the future?

But they were here, and it would be unreasonable for him to ask them to leave.

So he had to grit his teeth, grinned awkwardly, and politely invited the dean to sit down.

When he looked at the group of colleagues around him, he felt even more upset. However, he had no choice but to sigh.

Emily held Abigail over. Before they came, she asked Franklin to find a styling team to do Abigail's hair and put makeup on her face. Abigail also changed into a simple but elegant outfit.

Abigail had always been good-looking, even though she was old. However, after the preening, she who was already 50 years old looked like a 30-year-old young woman. She was more like a sister than a mother of Emily.

Hunter was also stunned when he saw her, and couldn't turn his gaze away from her.

He was a little annoyed and somewhat sad. In fact, he didn't mind spending the rest of his life with Abigail.

Except for Abigail, no other woman could treat him sweetly and with tolerance like both a mother and wife.

But all of this was ruined by Emily. Hunter glared at her resentfully. If Emily hadn't come back and started this, how would Abigail have known about this and decided to divorce him?

But what he didn't expect was that besides divorcing him, Abigail actually wanted to get the whole house. He thought that Abigail was just going to get a divorce and get back the money she had invested. He was surprised to know that she wanted to claim both the house and her money.

"Are you kidding me? My name is not on the property ownership certificate of that house. We lent it to our friends together. Now you want to take the house? You are so shameless.” Hunter said sarcastically to Abigail

Abigail snorted coldly. Since things were getting nasty for them, she said sharply, "Hunter, you are the one who is being shameless! That house is clearly our house and our marital property. You put someone else's name on the ownership certificate behind my back. You have the nerve to say that?"

"You also said that it was someone else's name on the certificate. This is the solid evidence, so there's nothing else to say.” Hunter insisted that his name was not on the property certificate, so he was fearless. Abigail was so angry that her whole body trembled. If Emily hadn't comforted her beside her, she would have fainted.

She didn't expect the man she loved to be like this and even more hateful than that day. However, she could not do anything about it. She had thought she couldn't get anything, not the house or any money in the divorce. However, she was so surprised when the famous lawyer Mr. Smith mentioned Hunter's liaison.

Hunter also hired a lawyer who immediately retorted that it was nonsense and slander.

Mr. Smith did not say anything but presented the evidence to the judge. To people's surprise, it included the pictures of Hunter walking in and out of the house with that woman named Scarlett, and the pictures of Scarlett accompanying him back to his hometown and socializing as his wife with his relatives and friends and those people's testimonies. It also included pictures where Scarlett accompanied Hunter to buy a house. The evidence showed the name on the ownership certificate of the house was Scarlett, but the money was transferred from Hunter and Abigail's accounts.

Abigail thought there was no evidence to prove that the money was transferred from her account, and was surprised that Mr. Smith was able to get it.

Emily was also shocked. She looked at Mr. Smith in surprise and admired him. No wonder he was called the legend in the world of lawyers. No one else was as careful and competent as he was.

After Mr. Smith took out the evidence, he began to criticize Hunter for his liaison and suspicion of fraud. It was natural for him to get nothing in the divorce with these charges.

The lawyers on both sides had a heated dispute, but the lawyer Hunter hired was obviously not competent enough and was no match for Mr. Smith at all.

Besides, Mr. Smith had solid evidence, so the final verdict was naturally in accordance with Mr. Smith's request.

Hunter was dumbfounded. He thought he would have to give Abigail a few hundred thousand at most. He had never expected that in the end, he would get nothing.

"Disagree. I don't agree.” Hunter shouted.

But no one paid any attention to him. After the trial, people all came to Mr. Smith to praise him and congratulated him. Even Bob's lawyer came to ask for Bob's autograph, with a look of worshiping him.

The dean of the hospital where Hunter worked walked up to him and snorted coldly, "Director Smith, I really didn't expect you to be such a person. No matter how good your medical skills are, you are so immoral, so you don't deserve to be a doctor. From today on, you don't have to go to the hospital. Our hospital doesn't need someone like you."

"Sir, my private life and my work are two different things. You can't fire me because of my private life." Hunter said anxiously.

The dean snorted coldly. "Director Smith, you are being stupid. Do you think you can still work in the hospital with such a bad character? Besides, don't forget how you got this job. Without your wife, you wouldn't be so lucky. Now that you've offended your wife, what do you think you are?”

Hunter's face turned pale and he released the dean's arm in a panic. Yeah, how could he forget about that? He had begged Abigail to ask Franklin for this job.

Now that he had fallen out with Abigail, he would naturally lose the job. He had never thought of this before. He had secretly rejoiced earlier that Franklin disdained to fire him or that Franklin could not get him fired because he had reached such high status.

He didn't expect that it was not that Franklin didn’t want to fire him. Franklin planned to fire him at the right moment, which would make him fail completely.

He thought this was the end, not knowing that a bad thing was waiting for him.

When he came out, Scarlett, who had been loving him so much, suddenly came over and slapped him in the face. "Hunter, you despicable scum. You're actually married and lied to me. I am here to break up with you. I don't want to see you again.”

This scene was seen by many people, including his former colleagues. People were pointing and talking about him and he became a complete joke.
