Chapter 11
Chapter 11 Dominic Arrives
A group of people were pressing in on a woman who seemed frigid and uninterested in any of them in a large room.
Celia pressed her fingers together, and a cryptic grin formed on her lips. “Do you genuinely want me to put on this outfit?”
“Absolutely! No one is more fitting than you. Besides, your mother relied on that kind of dress to…” a woman said.
However, her sentence was interrupted by Celia, who reached up and tugged at her collar.
Startled, the woman questioned, “What on earth are you doing?”
“You can scold me all you want, but you can’t speak ill of my mother,” Gelia responded coldly and, without hesitation, tore the woman’s dress.
The woman screamed in terror, although the room was crowded with people of her gender.
“How dare you, Celial”
The conversation they had just had in the room was on Celia’s phone, which she calmly picked up.
“How dare you refuse to wear this?”
“Does that bastard child really think she’s noble?”
“Natalie told you to wear it, so you have to wear it!”
These wealthy women showcased refined taste and etiquette in public, but they revealed an entirely different side behind closed doors.
Although the elites in high society would not openly express their opinions if this recording was made public, they would certainly mind their behavior in their hearts.
In the future, associating with Natalie would bring forth never–ending troublest
for them.
“Celia, we were just kidding! How could you do something like this? Please delete the recording.” Natalie said with a gentle smile, treating Celia as if she were ant ignorant child.

“Yeah, it was all in good fun. You also tore her clothes, so let’s just forget about it.”
Celia sneered. “Fine, let’s forget about it.”
With those words, she deleted the recording right before their eyes.
Her action was so direct that everyone found it hard to believe. “Did you actually delete it?” one person questioned..
“Did you upload it to the cloud?” another asked.
Natalie was also full of doubts.
Celia said calmly, “Do you think you could stay here if I wanted to get rid of all of you?”
The sheer audacity behind Celia’s statement left everyone taken aback. They thought she must be out of her mind, as it seemed impossible for her to utter such words.
Celia left the room because she thought it pointless to continue talking to them.
Still concerned about the situation, Natalie said, “I’ll go talk to Celia. Don’t worry, girls.
“Please, Natalie,” the girls begged.
Instead of choosing any dress from the pile of sexy ones, the woman whose clothes had just been torn by Celia picked up another dress from a corner of the room and put it on.
Evidently, there were plenty of spare dresses in the room. The girls used those sexy dresses to make things difficult for Celia on purpose, but they didn’t expect
her to be so smart.
Celia walked at a leisurely pace. Natalie, who was dressed in a wedding gown, casually caught up with her.
“Let’s talk,” Natalie suggested.
Celia crossed her arms and responded, “Just say what
you want to say.
In reality, Natalie and Celia shared some similarities in appearance. However, Natalie projected a more glamorous image, having been pampered and raised in luxury, while Celia was more reserved and distant.
“I recommend that you not make the recording public. Otherwise, you will make everyone hate you. Besides, you have a firm grasp on who you are. You’re

nothing more than an unwanted, unrecognized bastard.” Natalie said, her tone filled with mockery and disdain as she lifted her chin slightly.
“Plus, I am adored by the entire Burton family. It’s pointless for you to oppose
me.”
Celia’s eyes shone with disdain as she asked, “Illegitimate child? Huh.”
When Celia’s mother met Bruce Burton, she was a freshly graduated, ambitious college student. Unaware of the truth, the girl married Bruce and had a daughter named Celia. Only later did she discover Bruce had deceived her on many fronts: he was already married, and their marriage certificate was forged.
Celia’s mother sought help from the police, but the Burton family’s immense. power rendered her actions futile. The Burtons refused to acknowledge their mistake and treated Celia as if she were born out of wedlock.
She intended to go with her daughter and carry on as if nothing had happened, but the Burtons killed her as she was on her way to the airport.
This accident caused Celia a lot of suffering throughout her life.
She had returned this time to make the Burtons pay back everything they owed
her mother back then.
Celia spoke to Natalie, conveying a deep meaning, saying, “Natalie, I hope your can enjoy your privileged and happy life.”
Natalie laughed it off and responded, “I’m not one of those insignificant clowns. Someone, I’ve heard, secretly married into the Dawson family but was ultimately thrown out.”
Celia’s first marriage to Dominic was no secret to the Burtons, nor was the fact that it lasted only a few short years.
“Celia,
, you’ve been married to Dominic for ten years, but you will never hold a place in his heart comparable to his childhood sweetheart. Is there anyone more. useless in the world? You can’t even keep your man.” Natalie sneered.
Suddenly, a gentle male voice interrupted the tense exchange. “Natalie.”
Natalie’s gaze shifted, and she stumbled backwards onto the ground. From the perspective of those observing from behind, it appeared that Celia had. intentionally pushed her.
“Are you alright?” Fast approaching from behind, the man helped Natalie to
stand. It was evident from his white wedding attire that this man was Carl Nelson, the groom of the day.
Although Carl’s social status may not have matched Dominic’s, he still held significance and influence Carl, unlike Dominic, had a softer side and a warm personality. He exuded politeness with his gold–framed glasses and nervous expression.
“I’m fine, Carl, Please don’t blame Celia. She has every reason to resent me.” Although Natalie’s words seemed defensive in favor of Celia on the surface, they insinuated that Celia had pushed her.
Even though this framing strategy was rather weak, Carl bought into it. He stared coldly at Celia and demanded. “Apologize to Natalie.”
Natalie appeared pleased by the situation, but her expression quickly turned innocent. “Carl, let it go.”
“No, cnot let this go. You are precious to me, and I won’t tolerate anyone bully you, not even your sister.” Carl retorted.
Moreover, Carl knew that Celia was not Natalie’s real sister but rather a love
child.
While Carl spoke gently to Natalie, his expression became serious and stern when he looked at Celia. “Get on your knees now and apologize to Natalie now!”
Celia became disoriented at once and even forgot to carry on her original plan. She experienced an odd flashback to a situation in which Dominic had stood up for her, even though his actions couldn’t be considered protective.
Once, a maid burned Celia by accident with hot water. Dominic then requested an apology from the maid. She deduced that Dominic was so kind to her because he was worried about hurting her hand because he was very fond of them. Nonetheless, Celia was touched.
However, all of those memories belonged to the past now.
Celia was about to snap out of her thoughts when she suddenly heard a familiar and cold voice behind her. “Who do you want to apologize to you?”
Celia froze instantly, unable to believe that Dominic was present.
Dominic approached Celia with a commanding presence while his gaze fixed. coldly on the engaged couple. “Who gives you the authority to force others to kneel and apologize?” He asked coldly.

After spotting Dominic, Carl took a brief pause, followed by a cheerful greeting.
“Mr. Dawson, welcome to the wedding,” Carl said, his initially warm expression now tinged with flattery.
Celia wasn’t surprised by this reaction because, in the city, everyone had to treat Dominic with respect, even if they were second only to him.
On the other hand, Dominic’s appearance and subsequent support for Celia was completely unexpected to everyone.
Natalie also found it surprising, but she said to Dominic with a gentle tone, “My half–sister pushed me to the ground just now. Carl couldn’t stand it and asked her to apologize to me. Dawson, Mr. It’s really not a big deal.
Celia calmly denied the accusation, saying, “I didn’t push her.”
Carl sneered, “Bastards can never make it to the top. When they mess up, they
often don’t want to say sorry.”
The commotion caught many people’s attention, and they started gathering
around.
Natalie’s biggest hope was that everyone would be there to see it. She told Celia, “I forgive you for what you did. I’d like to keep things from getting worse, because it’s not good for anyone.”
Celia couldn’t help but find it amusing how Natalie skillfully distorted the facts. She remained firm and declared, “No matter what you say, I didn’t push you, and I won’t apologize.”
Natalie almost burst out laughing. She thought, “Celia is so stubborn. Does she really think that denying it will make others have a better impression of her?”
There would only be a resolution in this case if someone in a position of authority spoke up to defend Celia.
The most authoritative person present was undoubtedly Mr. Dawson, but Natalie knew Dominic would never speak up for his divorced ex–wife.
Natalie finally got her long–awaited moment to see Celia get humiliated.
However, things went differently than Natalie thought they would.
