He Wants Her Back: The Billionaire’s Leading Lady Novel by Jasmine

Chapter 11

Fine by me – Chris brown

I tried to pull away, but his grip on me only tightened. He pressed my body into his, as his lips swallowed my body into his, as his moan of protest, coaxing me to give in to him.

It would be so easy to yield, to let Pierce have control and lead into the world of pleasure that he had introduced me to, but I had come here for a reason. He would not take me seriously if I kept kissing him back.

Panic stricken I bit down on his lip. Hard, till he hissed and let go of me.

“What the fuck!” He yelled as I wiped my mouth. We watched each other breathing heavily.

“I told you already Pierce, we’re done.”

“And I told you Myra it’s not your place to decide. Maybe I wasn’t clear before, Cut your bullshit act.”

“Why are you being so difficult?”

“Watch your tone.” He warned, and maybe I should have listened.

“What do you want with me?” Why was he insistent on having me when he had Tami unless he was trying to hurt me, but why would he do that, I had done nothing wrong to him. Then it occurred to me. he was trying to hurt Tami. I knew their history had been rocky I was nothing but a little pawn in his game.

I squeezed my eyes shut if only to escape from the sting my thoughts invoked

1 don’t even care anymore. I just want out of this. We’re through. Please.*

He watched me with an unreadable expression. The blood on his lips had dried leaving a red tint.

I visibly relaxed when he moved back to his desk and retrieved his jacket but as he slipped it on, he said, in a clipped tone I visibly relaxed when he moved back to his desk and retrieved his jacket but as he slipped it on, he said in a clipped tone, “I’ve always thought you were a smart girl. I hope you still are”

I could feel the rage emanating from him.

“I have already been patient enough with you for the past few days, and I won’t be this patient the next time. Don’t try to challenge me again. Enough of your attention seeking behavior.”

I could not believe that was what he still thought this was. Attention seeking…I was about to defend myself when I caught sight of his angry gaze. My lips snapped shut.

“I want you in your apartment by evening. Myra. If you’re not there then I’ll assume you’ve gone ahead with your stupid plan and have no interests in your career.” He turned again and stopped in front of me with his threat evident in his eyes. “You might be good at what you do, but so am I, Myra. It would take a word from me and you will never get a job in this city or any in this country. I will make your life a living hell, do you understand me.”

His eyes bored into mine, daring me to defy him. This wasn’t just my career on the line. It was my family. My baby. He was threatening their safety too. My heart tightened in my chest.

My eyes fell to the floor in defeat. Satisfied he stepped away, giving me my much needed air.

“Get your keys from Trevor, and this will be the last I hear of this matter.”

The second the door was closed I collapsed into a chair.

And rested my head in my hands. He was making sure I would stay trapped. Things were already bad if i tried to fight him, it would hurt my family, I could not risk my job. It was my only source of income.

The door creaked open after a gentle tap on it.

“You look worse off than he does.” Trevor said. “I thought we talked about annoying him, you went rogue.”

When I raised my head, he extended a key to me. “a little birdie told me you might need this.” With a shaky hand, I took it. The gold metal sealing my fate.

When I packed it was like I was preparing for a funeral.

“So, you’re going back there?” Lily asked with a sad look on her face.

“Yeah, I think it’s easier when I work from there.”

Her frown deepened. “I feel like things are better when you’re here. It doesn’t feel…lonely.”
