Harlow

Leo's POV

I knew what Harlow was going to do before she did it. I heard what was happening through the phone and knew she would get out of the car even though Toby and I both said not to. Dean and his club members were a few minutes out and we just had to stall Hendrix until the back up arrived. I screamed for Harlow but she didn't listen or hear me. Dean and his members got there two minutes after they were gone. I now had to track the bracelet Harlow was wearing. I just hoped that she still had it on. It would take me a while to pick up the signal as it was encrypted so no one else could track her through the bracelet.

Dean and his members took Toby back to the club house as he was knocked out and needed stitches and we regrouped calling Steve and his mates in as well. We were going to go after them with everything we had including the police. Kody was pacing the room while Sue tendered to Toby who was blaming himself for Harlow being taken. When he woke up he was searching for Harlow and wanted to help us when we got her location. Steve had said no but we convinced him to allow Toby to come along as long as he stayed in the car.

It was four hours until I got the location of the bracelet. It was an old safe house that the club owned and no one had been to in years. I just hoped that Harlow was attached to the bracelet. It was an hour drive from where we were and we would be meeting police and paramedics there. We had no clue what state Harlow would be in but wanted medical help when we found her. We set our plan in motion and took off to get Harlow back. It only took us 45 minutes to get there.

When we pulled up at the safe house there was no one else around but that didn't mean that Hendrix was alone in there if he was even there. We moved in quickly and quietly in teams and found 4 guys in the front of the safe house passed out with empty bottles of grog around them. Steve and his mates pulled them out handing them over to the police who had arrived.

We continued to move through the house slowly and quietly not wanting to scare Hendrix into doing something stupid. Kody and a team went upstairs while I took a team downstairs. Dean stayed on the first level with another group. We communicated through ear pieces. When I got to the closed door I opened it as quietly as I could and saw Hendrix on the ground. I scanned the room and saw Harlow in the corner. "I got her, basement. We need medical" I called into the ear piece. I could see she had blood all over her but I didn't know where it was coming from.

I called out to my sister and slowly walked over to her. I didn't know how badly hurt she was, all I could see was she was covered in scraps and blood. As I got closer I could see she was sobbing and I wanted nothing more then to hold her but I didn't know what she had been through or how she would react. Everyone else came rushing into the room.

Harlow had a hold of what looked to be glass and it was digging into her hand. We had to call Toby in to calm her down enough to sedated her so we could get her medical help. None of us knew what had gone down in that room but I believed that Harlow had to stab Hendrix to protect herself. He wasn't dead but he had loss a lot of blood and had to be rushed to the hospital as did Harlow. We didn't want her going in the same ambulance as Hendrix or to the same hospital but we had no choice.

Toby rode with Harlow, we knew if she woke up he could calm her down and the rest of us would follow close behind. Dean and his guys were going to head back to his club, he didn't want to intrude and upset Harlow anymore. He was also going to check which club Hendrix was now associated with and use his connections to bring them down. He said he owed that much to Harlow. We thanked him and then took off to the hospital.

We crammed into the waiting area of the hospital wanting to hear news about Harlow. Toby had been kicked out so the doctors and nurses could check her over and pin point her injuries. They were going to need to surgically wash her was all he heard before being kicked out. She had gravel imbedded in her skin which needed to be washed out and they also needed to see what else was going on. They would allow us to see her when they had finished and only two people at a time. Hendrix was taken to surgery to repair the damage Harlow did and given blood but he would pull through. The police were going to arrest him bed side when he was out of surgery. They had two officers posted at the door waiting for him. When he was released he would be formally charged and taken to court where he could apply for bail and a court date would be set. He was facing multiple charges including kidnapping, assault, firearms offences and when the police could speak to Harlow there may be more.

Three hours later the doctor emerged "family of Harlow .." before he could finish his sentence we all jumped up. "Right and you all are?" The doctor asked. "I'm her father, these are my sons and her boyfriend and his family" dad replied before nodding. "Ok are you ok with everyone hearing how she is?" The doctor asked to which dad nodded his head.

"Ok so Harlow is one strong young woman. She has multiple injuries. She had gravel imbedded in her arms, legs and back where is seems she was dragged along the road. We had to surgically wash the wounds to removed the gravel. She has 2 cracked ribs and bruised kidneys from impact to her stomach. She has a major concussion from multiple trauma to the head and face. She has a busted lip, and two black eyes. We would like to keep her admitted for a few days to watch for swelling on the brain. She required a blood transfusion and stitches in her arm and hand" the doctor told us. "Will she be ok?" Toby asked. "Physically she will recover. Emotionally she is going to need a lot of support. I would suggest engaging a professional. From her notes we saw she has recently miscarried on top of what she went through today I would be surprised if there wasn't emotional trauma she needs to work through" Toby nodded.

"Can we see her?" I asked. The doctor nodded his head, "it's usually only a couple of you at a time but I will allow her family in together as long as you keep the noise down. She is going to need all of you when she wakes up" the doctor said. "She is in room 16" he added before walking away. "Come on then let's all go see her" Dad said. Toby, Sue and Steve didn't move from where they were. "You are just as much her family as we are. Are you coming?" Kody asked. They nodded and we headed in to see Harlow laying in bed and finally got to see the damage that Hendrix inflicted on our sister. It wasn't pretty and I had to stop myself from vomiting right there and then.
