GTO: Chapter 7
GTO took her to the room next to his. He opened the door and carried her in.
Curious, she looked around.
It looked like a nice room but simple. A full sized bed, nightstands. A full dresser. A small table with 2 chairs by the window, and another door that was to the bathroom. A medium sized flat screen TV on the wall. Nice carpeting and the walls were painted in a beige color that matched the carpeting.
GTO took her across the small room and set her down in a comfy chair.
Luisa faced the table and folded her arms, then laid her head down on them.
He stared down at her. “I just don’t get it.”
Sniffling, she didn’t raise her head, but she did ask, “What? Get what?”
“First off, raise your head up,” he ordered.
At his sudden severe tone, she did so. Her eyes were reddened and tear filled.
He knelt in front of her and took her hands. “Luisa, I watched you from the moment you were spotted in that backyard. You never showed any fear. You never made a sound. Then you were pushed around, yelled at, and shot. You never showed an ounce of any emotion at all, the entire time.”
Looking curious, she swiped her tears from her cheeks. “So?”
He shook his head. “Then just now? You saw Python’s Ole Lady and you fell apart?”
Luisa suddenly squared her shoulders. “I learned not to show anything since I was 3 years old. It only got you hit or hurt in some way. It got you nowhere. Then as to physical pain, I got used to that and could stand a lot of it. I suppose it is a different thing when you feel pain because of something that hurt someone else? I feel so much pain for her. What she must have endured. All while my family kept me in the lap of luxury made from the blood, tears and misery off of people like her.” Her whole body shook.
GTO looked into her eyes. “You cannot take it on yourself. You…” He let out a long breath. “You are going to have a new life. You will—”
“STOP IT!” she cut him off a she looked enraged now, “I won’t get a new life. Why do you keep telling me that? I will be dead. I am telling you how it is. I have faced this fact.”
He yanked her up and wrapped his arms around her. “I will make sure you do not get dead. Do you hear me?”
“W-why would you do that? Why? I am nothing to you and the men here. Just information, just…” She pulled back and looked stunned suddenly as she paused and studied his face. “Why do you smell so good?”
GTO blinked at her. “What?”
“You smell like…I don’t know but…” She leaned in and pressed her lips to his.
GTO froze for a second or two as her warm lips came up against his. Then he felt something odd. Like her lips were some kind of live wire… a jolt ran through him as he tugged her closer and kissed her back.
Both of them were lost to this kiss. It was wild as they took turns sparring with their tongues and moving their hands along each other’s backs.
Suddenly, GTO pulled back.
They both locked gazes as they caught their breaths
Luisa’s eyes were wide and round. “T-that’s what a kiss is like?” She panted a bit. “Ohhh…”
He shook his head and grinned now. “No, I have kissed women before and it was NOT like that.”
She looked confused. “B-but…”
“Just with you,” he whispered.
A knock sounded on the door, breaking the moment.
He stepped away from her and went over to the door.
Lightning stood there as he held a large tray. “Food anyone?” he quipped.
GTO smiled. “Yes, oh god of Lightning,” he teased.
The man handed the tray over. “How many times are you gonna use that line?” he scoffed. “I mean it isn’t as if I am named after a damned car.” He chuckled.
GTO raised a brow and turned with the tray. “So, you think that is where my road name comes from?”
Lightning paused before turning away. “Wait… so it isn’t from a car name?”
Striding over to Luisa and the table GTO said nothing. Then setting the tray down, he replied, “It is the name of a car and you know it. I just never said if that was where it came from.”
“Oh, I see,” Lightning called to him. “Ok, just be like that then. But I will find out anyways.” He shut the door with a laugh.
Luisa looked from GTO to the door.
He shrugged. “Never mind him, we always have the same discussion.”
She looked curious now. “So, you call yourself GTO and it is also a car’s name?”
He nodded as he pulled the large plastic wrap from the tray and set a plate and utensils in front of her. “Yeah, Gran Turismo Omologato, which means that a car is officially certified for racing in the grand tour class. Or for Americans, a Pontiac GTO, which is an actual car.”
Her brows rose at this explanation. “But you are not named after this car?”
He laughed. “No.”
She took up her fork and took a bite of the food. Chewed then took another.
GTO handed her one of the drinks.
She opened the bottle of coke and sipped then set it down. “But you are letting him think it is after a car?”
He laughed. “Hey, that is his belief. I never told him what my name means.” He ate his food.
“Interesting and very amusante too,” Luisa spoke again, then she took another bite and chewed. “You are taunting him with this puzzle. That is kind of funny.”
“Hey, like I said, he does it to himself.” GTO grinned at her.
They sat in a companionable silence as they ate.
After about 5 minutes, she leaned back. “I am full now. Thank you.”
He nodded. “You are different, I can tell you that.” He grabbed both plates and stacked them.
She set her napkin on top of her plate. “What do you mean?”
“I have been with a few women in my MC life and they always asked what the name GTO meant and considering what I just explained. One would think you would ask me.”
Tilting her head at him, she met his gaze. “I think when you feel like…well, that I am worthy of this knowledge then you will tell me.”
He blinked at her. “So, you don’t want to know?”
She licked her lips then took her final sip of her coke. “I never said that.”
He smiled at her. “Yeah, most women would push until I told them. But not you, eh?”
She shrugged. “It is your secret to share. I don’t have a droite…Um I mean a right to that.”
He paused and stared at her. “Wow…What woman would say this to a guy?” He smiled again.
She stared back at him. “I don’t understand what you mean at all.”
“Yeah, exactly…” He gazed at her. “You don’t. And it is so refreshing really.”
She again shook her head. “I still do not understand your meaning.”
He reached across and took her hand. “That’s okay. I like that about you.”
She shook her head. Taking a deep breath she asked, “I do however, need to ask you something and I’m not sure how to ask it.”
“How ‘bout you just ask me.” He stared at her curiously.
“Will you teach me about passion?” She took a deep breath and stared at him nervously. “Like sexe, as they say in France.”
He squeezed her hand. “Yeah, I can do that.”
“So, can I kiss you again?” she whispered.
GTO sat back and gazed at her. “You mean. Now? Teach you now?” He was stunned. “Like have sex…right now?” he repeated in disbelief.
Nodding, she whispered, “Unless you don’t want me like that. I mean I would understand. Seeing as to who I am and where I come from.”
