GOLDEN BLOOD

Chapter EPILOGUE

Paris visited the cave with Alexander and when the mammals asked them to fly. Alexander denied it. Paris couldn’t understand why he wouldn’t fly with them. She could feel their disappointment. To make them happy she flew with them but the entire time she was doubtful.

“Why didn’t you fly with them?”

“I wasn’t in the mood to fly, Angel.” She could feel him lying as if protecting something. It added to her concerns.

“But you love to fly, Alex.”

“Let it go, Paris.” He persisted. He was sure his hard tone of voice would discourage her from asking any more questions. She wasn’t at all offended by his response. She knew he wasn’t irritated with her, the contorted expression on his face reflected the strain he was under—in other words, it was a sensitive topic, so she let it go for now.

“Terence, he didn’t fly? What’s bothering him?” Paris was still susceptible to all of Alexander’s feelings and emotions, it kept her worried for two days.

“What is he trying to hide from me?” she asked. Terence grew tense.

“He’s not hiding. He lost something.” Terence already told her more than he intended, he thought.

“Lost? What has he lost?”

“It’s not my place to—”

“Terence, you know he won’t tell me, and I don’t want to nag him about it.”

“Still, Miss Noel—”

“Please. I need to know.” She pleaded and burst into tears. Terence wasn’t at all prepared for that emotional display, he was exasperated, unsettled too. He usually disliked women who cried. The truth was, all his life Terence had never interacted with anyone, besides Alexander. But he always had a soft spot in the corner of his heart for Paris.

It took all the strength for Terence not to let loose, giving her her answer. But... “His wings, Miss Noel.”

She gasped in reaction to that statement. “Wh-What? How?”

“He traded them to the Elder sorcerer for your memories.”

She looked on in horror at Terence; she knew it too well, kind of been there done that situation. She’d one wing that never sprouted and had to pluck them. And Alexander chopped them for her, she wished she wasn’t been the cause of it, but she was.

“Alex...!” Paris sprinted off to see him. Earnest, with a lack of tolerance. She ran on foot though she could have teleported herself.

The hint of her fresh scent so utterly feminine she wore, informed Alexander Paris was coming to him, he was in his office and he was prepared to take her in his arms.

At the same time, he sensed a current of sadness in her, and he was right. Her beautiful eyes were watery. Her lips trembled when she came into view.

“Angel, what’s wrong? Why are you—”

She took a deep breath and tried to calm down. She tried really hard not to be a fuss. “How could you Alex!”

“What?” confused Alexander asked her.

She didn’t take her gaze away from him. “Your wings.” She began to whimper. “Why did you—”

The torment he saw in her eyes made his chest ache. “Oh, that... Come here.” He urged and reached out, and took her into his arms lovingly to offer her comfort.

“It’s just a small sacrifice I made for love. For my love.”

“I didn’t need my old memories, Alexander. We were already making new ones. You shouldn’t have given up your wings for some lost memories, Alex.”

“Well, I’ll keep that in mind next time.” He mused, but Paris gave him a hard look.

Alexander softened and grabbed her face. “I love you, Angel, and I told you before and I’m telling you again. I’ll do anything for you,” and he kissed her.

“I love you so much, Alexander. I’ll give up anything for you too.” She vowed; tears trickled down her cheeks.

“Hush now,” he whispered back. He wiped her tears and gave her an affectionate squeeze that comforted her. She was so worried. “I still have all my powers. Just not my wings.”

Today was the happiest day in Paris’s life. Ever since Alexander had proposed marriage, Paris has been antsy in a wait for this day to come, and finally, it had almost arrived.

The night before. Paris couldn’t sleep and Alexander had little to no patience.

“Angel...” Alexander called from the other side of her door.

“Alex.” She got out of her bed and rushed to answer the door but she halted. “We can’t see each other, not until after we wed.”

“Sure... we could. We just have to close our eyes and feel each other by touch.” He suggested.

Paris shook her head. “Yes, we can certainly do that, but all good things come to those who wait.”

He groaned with frustration. The man was going to be a challenge to her peace of mind, she thought. Although he was a dangerously attractive man. And by God, Alexander’s sexuality has always been raw, and so appealing. She let her imagination get the better of him. She had studied and memorized all the angles and details of his muscles ... and his magnificent length—

“Stop undressing me, Paris.” He interjected her imagination and started to laugh. She could feel herself burning with embarrassment even behind the closed door.

“You’re quite imaginative, I’ll give you that.”

“So you came here only to tease me.”

“And to remind you, that I’ve far better plans than just your imagination.”

Paris could feel herself blush even more now. “I can’t wait to be yours, to marry you.”

“I can’t wait to be married to you too, Angel.”

They stayed quiet for a long while. Paris broke the silence. “Alex... I want to hold you.”

“I’m not going to be able to keep my hands off you, Paris. I’m trying… Damn it! Open this door, Paris.” He thumped his fist on the door.

The degree of separation tore through them, they both were blind—avoiding seeing each other but their love wasn’t.

“I love you, Alex.” She kissed his face, neck, and chest.

“I love you more than you do, Paris.” His hands groped at her wildly and hurriedly.

Alexander pushed her back on the nearest wall and she immediately wrapped her arms around his neck. Alexander nudged his erection applying firm pressure, moving his hips, rocking, rubbing on her. The dry humping never felt this good, Alexander thought.

She was desperate and he was horny.

His mouth took possession of hers. He meant only to take a quick taste, but the kiss quickly got out of control. His mouth slanted over hers with hard intensity. He couldn’t get enough of her.

One night; only one night they had to sleep independently; alone but they ruined it just after their tiny outburst.

It was her wedding day today.

With nerves, emotions, and butterflies working themselves into a frenzy in her stomach. She began to feel fearful ’What if something goes wrong? The roof falls down or the earth starts to shake—

“Breath Paris,” Pauline said. “It’s your big day. I know just how stressful the whole process can be. Everything is alright so just be calm, relax, and enjoy every moment.”

“And your bath is ready. Go soak at the moment.” Priscilla told her.

“Thank you, Mom and Mother.” Paris was touched. She felt incredibly lucky to have not one but two strongest women by her side; ensuring, and taking care of her on her big wedding day. She felt a sea of emotions coming out at that moment, and suddenly she started crying. She had no idea why she was crying. Maybe she was anxious, happy? But she felt blessed she had spent the morning with them.

Paris soaked and bathed herself in rose-scented water. Groomed herself to be hairless. Her dress; and her shoes with jewelry, accessories, lingerie, and garter were laid out for her to slip into.

With her hair and makeup done. She wore her elegant cathedral wedding gown with the longest royal train made for her special day.

Dress elegantly, Paris made her way down the stairs, where her father Aron was waiting for her to give way.

Paris chose to have their wedding ceremony at the Mansion. She’d ask Alexander if he would like to get married someplace else.

But Alexander replied that he only wanted to get married soon and it didn’t matter where in the world they went.

“You look beautiful, Paris,” Aron said, using her earth name. He kissed her temple.

She smiled sweetly. “Thank you, Father.”

“The groom had a special arrangement made just for you,” he said, informing her.

“I can’t wait.”

Stepping outside of the main front door, Paris gasped. “Oh my god! This is beyond my imagination.”

She exclaimed when she saw a carriage with two large red-brown horses awaiting its passengers.

“Come on, I was told the groom is getting very impatient by the second.” Aron took her hand and helped her climb on and sat closer to her, their hands were linked together as they enjoyed the father-daughter moment.

The horses then began to draw the majestic carriage away, and it was only a few moments before they were riding along the lotus pond pathway.

Paris felt very special. She adored everything Alexander has been doing for her. She was indeed falling in love with him—all over again. How could one not? Alexander cared for her. He was so deeply in love with her.

It was only a matter of time before they would say their eternal vows exchange rings and bind their soul for eternity. And then kiss as husband and wife for the very first time.

The horses came to a halt, and they began to walk on the flower aisle runner. Paris tried to clear her mind from the inevitable disturbance clouding her brain but as soon as she started to walk, she saw Alexander and it all melted out of her existence.

‘Stunning.’ They both thought when they saw each other smiling over the affectionate way the happy couple looked at each other. There was so much love in their expressions.

Paris was on the verge of tears, knowing how much Alexander loved her.

“How do you make everything look so beautiful, Paris?” he said, complimenting her. His soon-to-be wife looked absolutely stunning, but there was something about that dress, and he just wanted to look at her the entire time.

Alexander bent down and planted a kiss on her cheek, “I can't wait to take it off you.”

She felt his hot breath on her ear. She blinked, and her face turned crimson.

“Alex,” she whispered. “You shouldn’t be saying such things in front of our guests.” She was timid. “They all can hear you.”

Alexander took her hand up and brought it to his mouth to place a kiss on her knuckles. “I don’t care. You’re mine now.”

For the wedding reception, a gazebo tent was set up in the Royal garden. The oval-shaped table was draped with an organza runner over it and dropped down on the ground like a cascading waterfall that looked like a flowing stream.

A floral arrangement in the center, with candles and a bottle of champagne with petite cakes, was put on each table for the guests to enjoy with seven courses of dinner being served.

Everything was beautiful and romantic. The night, the sky, the star, the moon, and Alexander Paris thought.

Then she got pulled away from him, he thought no one would take her away from him now that she was his. But she was swarmed by friends and guests, and then she disappeared. Alexander got furious and began to search for her.

After quite some time, what seemed like hours. Paris tapped on his shoulder and giggled “Hi.”

Alexander pulled her up close and tightened his hold around her. A fierce wave of possessiveness consumed him. “Don’t leave me Paris. Don’t ever leave me alone.”

“I won’t.” She hugged him worriedly.

(((( THE SONG “GOLDEN HOUR” by JVEK. This song came to my mind when I heard it on the radio and I couldn’t get enough of how much the song suited while they both danced...))))

Paris had detached her royal train overskirt from her gown, instantly creating a second wedding look. The couple came walking hand in hand to the party.

On the dance floor, where other couples danced to the music. Aron with Priscilla. Pauline with Terence—they both looked good together, Paris thought.

But all eyes were on the Golden Couple, as they made their way to the dance floor. Time seemed to slow as he ushered her to the floor. He drew her into his arms and steered her with ease. His body pressed intimately against her. He held her close, so close.

The music was sensual, and they began to dance, moving with the rhythm of the music, dancing slowly.

She was caught in the seductive tangle of his moves and his gaze. Surrounded by the music, it seemed as if she was floating. She followed his lead. Mesmerizing, she wasn’t aware of anyone else, only him, and his strong arms holding her close.

He whispered in her ear. As the music ended, she glanced up at him. “This whole evening is in your name, Angel. I’ll do anything for you, Paris. I can bring the moon, the star at your feet.”

“No, Alex, I don’t want the moon, the stars, I want your heart filled with love for me and love me until the end of time, Alexander.”

He cupped her chin on his thumb and forefinger. “I love you, Paris. My Angel.” He angled his face and kissed her deeply.

And so their romantic happiness begins...

Like a well of water, A Girl With The Golden Blood had replenished the Vampire with her blood and love.

THE END.
