Goddess's Prophecy: From Rogue to Luna

Chapter 19

MICAIAH

I lost track of the days; I have no clue how long I have been here. The beatings are wearing my body down, but I will not break. I figured out what the Goddess I mean my birthmother meant by her revealing the truth would help with the current situation. I could not talk to Malcolm because we were never alone. The last time we were alone is when I fainted from the first beating, so I hatched a plan.

One of the guards came in for my daily beating. Whips, chains, knives, so unoriginal but they beat until well after I bled like usual. I then let my head fall forward and closed my eyes. I slowed my breathing just enough to make them believe. “Looks like she finally passed out again.” One of the guards muttered to another guard. They then carried me back to my cell, throwing me to my bed like I was a corpse. I could not flinch I needed them to believe I was passed out and hopefully they would leave me alone with Malcolm.

“Come on, lets go eat. She is passed out and he is to weak for his own good.” One of the guards said, they were so arrogant but thank the goddess for that. I then heard the iron door slam shut. “Malcolm, is it clear,” I whispered to where only he could hear me. “You are tricky, but yes they are gone.” I raised up to be able to face Malcolm. “Listen there is something I need to talk to you about and I need you to listen.” He nodded in response. “I am not your sister by blood, basically I was kind of adopted.”

By the time I finished explaining everything Malcolm looked as if I grew two heads. “Listen I know it is a lot to take in but basically the game is in our favor. Do you think if we got you out of here?” “I think I can get far enough to get help, but how Micaiah?” he looked at me with what I thought he no longer had which was hope. “I do not know but whenever I can get a distraction, you need to run for it and not wait for me, get free get help, get back to your mate, she needs you.” He only nodded and I laid back down as we heard keys entering the iron door.

“I see the little bitch is waking up,” my eyes were closed I had no clue who it was speaking. “what my nephew sees in you I will never know, I should have killed him as a child.” It was his uncle and I felt anger rising in me but I knew this was the opportunity we needed. I heard his footsteps getting closer and the door unlocking to my cell.

MALCOLM

He was looking at her with such hatred and fear, he begun unlocking her cell still jabbering away. “You are just a weak, pathetic slut. Nothing in my opinion.” He bent down to her level grabbing her by the hair pulling her head up some, closer to his face. “Just so you know, I plan on luring him here, let him suffer as he watches me torture you, do anything I want to you. Then I will kill him slowly, making him break in the progress.”

Out of no where her hand jolted up hand wrapping around his throat. Her fingernails were turning into wolf claws, but how she had wolfsbane in her system. Her eyes they were glowing, she pulled him closer as her k-9s extended, “You wont live to fulfil your dream, sick bastard.” Then she ripped his throat from his body. I felt my stomach turn at the sight, for once thank the goddess I had no food in my system or I definitely would be throwing up right now. His lifeless body fell to the floor with a thud, she grabbed his keys and opened my cell, she then grabbed my hand shoving me to the side of the wall as another guard came running in. she went in behind him snapping his neck with ease.

Her body was covered in blood, “Listen Malcolm, when we go outside you go left I will go right, they will come after me, go get help.” “No,” “Malcolm, we have to,” she was not understanding she thought I was fighting her and after what I saw I was not fighting her. “No Micaiah, the way out is left.” She made an o face and hugged me tightly, “By blood or not, you and EJ are my brothers.” With that we ran out side and she took off left. I turned right and darted through the forest.

My lungs were burning, feeling harder to breath the more I ran. I felt like this was the end I did not know where to go from here. My legs begun feeling heavier with every step, I fell against a tree near me. “I am sorry Micaiah, I failed you.” I tried taking breaths, but it felt like there was bricks laying over my chest. “Lacey, my love I am so sorry I could not make my way to you, I love you and I wish I could have seen you again.”

I felt lightheaded, stomach was queasy, it felt like the end. I then saw a bright light, thinking it was death coming to take me, I was shocked when I then seen my love grabbing ahold of me. She found me, now we can save Micaiah.

I woke up to the sun shining through a window it has been years since I felt the pleasure of sleeping on an actual bed. I looked around the room and saw lacey sleeping on a chair, Micaiah’s mate sitting up against the wall sleeping. He must have felt me staring he quickly looked at me. “How are you feeling Malcolm.” He asked as he stretched his arms and walked near my bed. “Best as I could at this point, but we need to go like now.” “Malcolm, you need to rest, and we need to have a game plan. I want her back as quick as we can, but I don’t want everyone to get hurt.” “I already have a game plan well Micaiah and I do. Listen, I will explain.” I told him everything she told me and about our plan and how it will help us. “Okay Malcolm, let me gather the others and we will follow you.” We are coming Micaiah hold on.
