Goddess's Prophecy: From Rogue to Luna

Chapter 11

I was jolted awake by someone shaking me half to death. “What the absolute fuck?” I shouted figuring it was probably Dylan, for he is known to do this. When I gained my sight and senses, I realized it was not Dylan, but it was Shawn. “Shawn what is going on?” “Micaiah, I needed to talk to you privately,” I knitted my brows in confusion.

“This must be important seeing it is only three in the morning.” “Yeah, sorry about that but I need your advice and help.” “Okay, let me hear it.” He looked like a nervous wreck. “I want to propose to Dylan, yes I know we are mates and fated together forever, but I want him see how much he means to me.” “Awe, Shawn, that is awesome he will love it. So, I will help you. First calm yourself, second get some rest. After training we will meet up and go over some details and set up a fantastic night for you both.”

He grabbed me into an enormous hug, “Thank you Micaiah, thank you so much.” He then took off back to his room and now fully awake I decided to go ahead shower and get dressed for the day. I went to the kitchen and made myself an iced hazelnut coffee topped with whipped cream and caramel drizzle. I then went to the balcony on my floor to watch the sunrise. I felt so much more relaxed after the talk with Maverick and opening up to him. Vee was humming in my head in happiness, finally free of all the hiding and being in secret and finally spending time with Alaric.

The sun was finally rising and was so peaceful and beautiful. I was lost in the sight I did not realize that Maverick had joined me. “Good morning.” I jumped being startled, “Good morning, Mav. How are you?” “Good and yourself.” “Good.” He then embraced me in a hug, “Even though I am enjoying this I may say you might want to go talk to Dylan.” “Why?”

“Him and Shawn are fighting over you.” He said with his eyebrow raised and I realized it was because we both had each other’s scent on the other. “Shawn was in my room at three this morning asking for advice and planning something special for Dylan, but apparently Dylan is overreacting.” Without thinking I kissed Maverick on the cheek and took off to talk with Dylan.

As I entered the living room Cammy and Jake were trying to calm both Dylan and Shawn, things had gotten really heated. I went over to Dylan to talk with him before I could speak a word, he begun lashing out at me.

“You, you are supposed to be my sister, my best friend.” He shouted he was hurt and upset, “What are you talking about Dylan?” “You two, seriously. I am not stupid but both of you are acting as if I am, you both reek of each other, he comes crawling in at three thirty this morning smelling of you and now you both act like it is nothing.” “Listen Dylan, you need to get your wolf in check and think about this. We are family and I would never do anything to hurt you.” “Then if it was nothing tell me why he was with you at three in the morning?” “Dylan, I can not answer that right now.”

He wouldn’t even let me finish, he then grabbed the necklace I made for him when we first met and ripped it off his neck and stormed off. My heart broke at what just happened, he was there for me when no one else was and has always stood beside me but being mates and having a strong possessiveness and jealousy gets the better of you. I hope I haven’t lost him forever.

“Micaiah I am so sorry; he will not listen to me.” “It is okay Shawn; we will stick to the plan and then maybe it will knock some sense into him.” Shawn went after Dylan, and I just went out to train to work out some frustration in the training grounds. He is like my brother, and I know he isn’t thinking straight but his words hurt, him thinking I could ever betray him like that hurt. As I finished setting up a romantic lunch for Shawn and Dylan after training today in the far gardens I was walking back thinking of this morning.

It is heartbreaking, my emotions are getting the best of me which is never good. At the same time those thoughts run through my head the alarm sounds, meaning rogue attack.

Without any second guesses Vee and I needed to blow off steam. We ran straight into battle. As we approached the field there were dozens of rogues facing our warriors, they were holding their own. We had some of our warriors wounded and needing medical attention quickly. Then I seen Shawn taking on three of his own rogues and Maverick four of his own. As his mate we wanted to jump to his aid, but I then saw Dylan against five rogues and was bleeding badly. Our blood was boiling no matter what happened this morning he was still my family, with that Vee took over my body.
