Goddess’s Design His Fated Mate by Pooja

Chapter 30

Chapter 30

Reuben

Willow was an orphan, and despite being provided every advantage in life, I was not different than her until she entered my life and became an inseparable part of me. We had meant everything to each other. So, when she abandoned me six years ago, disappearing without a trace only to resurface as the adoptive daughter of Alpha. Benjamin, it was incredibly difficult for me to accept. I had contemplated turning the Wade Moon Pack land into a desolate and barren wasteland, ensuring that nature would not thrive or smile upon it again for decades. But Willow’s love for this pack and care for the Alpha residing over it had led me to exercise restraint.

She was going to hate me even more if I hurt the Wade Moon Pack. The other reason I exercised self control was that I felt as if I had seen this old Alpha somewhere. I could not remember where but Dex also had a feeling which was strange as I never met lower ranking packs nor had I ever crossed paths with Wade Moon Pack before.

“Alpha Reuben Emerald,” It was only out of regard for Willow’s happiness that I extended my hand to shake hands with the man responsible for keeping me from finding my soulmate all these years. If he had not sent Willow to Britain then I would. not have waited for six f**king years. A vein throbbed wildly in my forehead at the thought, but I managed to calm down, ensuring my thoughts didn’t reflect in my expressions. “Willow’s soulmate,” I declared, instantly carning Willow’s wide eyes. “So I don’t wish for my mate to live anywhere other than my pack or house,” the room fell into dead silence as all eyes fixed on me.

Judging by Alpha Benjamin’s initially shocked expression that shifted to Willow’s face, it seemed evident that Willow had disclosed that she was my soulmate. However, Alpha Benjamin’s Beta, whom I strongly suspected suffered from face blindness, appeared to be equally surprised as he was horrified while seemingly forgetting how to breathe.

“Alpha…Reuben Emerald? Is Willow’s soulmate?” The Beta struggled with forming the words, his expression reflecting his recollection of the recent incident when I had arrived at the pack and subdued some of his pack members. On that day, he had regarded me as a random wolf with a few screws loose, completely unaware that I was someone whose face even influential figures in the werewolf world weren’t privileged to sce, let alone meet.

Willow shifted slightly, facing the Beta while still within my grasp. “I apologize for concealing the truth from you last time, Beta Ken,” she said with a guilty expression. I frowned, not liking to see her upset and glanced at the Beta, who had once again failed. to recognize my expressions but sensed the shift in my aura.

“It’s alright, Willow. This revelation may be quite surprising, but ultimately it’s your personal matter. We have no right to interfere or pass judgment,” Ken smiled, his words as genuine as the sincerity in his eyes.

Willow shot a thankful smile in his direction then gave me a meaningful look saying with her eyes, ‘You broke your promise!”

‘How? You made me promise to not cause trouble. You never said that I had to hide our mate bond‘ I replied to her wordlessly with my own eyes.

She blinked at me with mixed emotions then Alpha Benjamin said, “I am so glad you finally introduced us to your soulmate Willow,” he stated happily.

Willow forced a smile, looking at me from the corner of her eye as I smiled at her. “I would be grateful if your mate also joins us for dinner,” the old man looked at me with a gentle, requesting smile.

Having dinner had never been part of my plan. I had only come to this pack so that I could take Willow home with me as Dex had a feeling that she would stay here for a night or longer which would be something that I would absolutely hate.

“Thank you for the invitation but I have to return…”

“Willow’s soulmate?!” Before I could refuse a very displeased male voice entered my ears. I tilted my head towards the door to find a tall man with a familiar face standing there frowning at me.

‘What is this fuckers problem?‘ Dex growled in my mind triggered by the look that the man was shooting at us.

“Sky!” Willow called the man’s name.

“What the hell are you doing here?!” Alpha Benjamin furiously boomed. “The punishment that I set for you of guarding the east borders is not over! How dare you step foot inside my packhouse! Go out of my sight immediately!”

I stole a look at the furious Alpha before moving my attention back to his son. It seemed like the old man had kicked his son out of the pack and had punished him with the difficult task of guarding the pack borders. Normally, there were small outbuildings along sensitive borders for the guards to live in. Judging by his son’s condition, it seemed he had been having a hard time guarding the borders day and night.

“I only came when I heard/Willow’s soulmate was here,” Sky walked into the living room and stood face to face with me. “So you are that Alpha that ran away after

knocking up an innocent woman!” he glared at me.

Hearing him say that my mind went blank as my sanity snapped like an elastic band. Willow noticed my blank expression and panicked.

“Sky, what the hell you are saying?! Wyatt and Lori are still here,” she yelled as Beta Ken picked up the children and quickly walked out of the packhouse.

“What did I say wrong?!The children should know the true face of their father! They should know that this man truly does not deserve you and…” Before he could say another word, I grabbed him by the jaw and pulled him closer.

“WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU SAY YOU MOTHERFUCKER!!!” I roared, digging my claws into the skin of his face.
