Chapter 35
Chapter 35
To my surprise, I saw my dad in front of the coffee house. He was chatting with his friends. It seemed that he had just finished a meal.
“Dad!” I called him.
“Syl, why are you here?” My father was also surprised to see me. His friends also looked at me.
One of his friends recognized me. He immediately asked, “Jensen, did your daughter play the violoncello at Aroma University today? She is famous on the Internet!”
My father might also know about it. He looked proud, but he
restrained himself. “Ah, for what? She is a major in violoncello. She hadn’t played the violoncello for years!”
“But she is excellent anyway! Jensen, your daughter is awesome!”
“She also looks pretty. She will be a rich lady.”
Hearing those words, I felt both proud and embarrassed. How could I look pretty and rich?
At the time, Greta called me. I said to my dad quickly, “Dad, my friends are waiting for me. I’ll have to go.”
“Go ahead. I’m coming back.” My father shook his hand.
I nodded and then went to the coffee house. Suddenly, I wanted to tell my father that I would go back home in a few days. When I turned around, I saw a woman in her forties getting out of my father’s car. She happened to stand under the road light. She wore a black and white
wrap skirt, which made her look both beautiful and mature. She bent to my father humbly.
My father whispered something to her. Then he got into the back seat. The woman was the driver.
I wondered, “Wasn’t the driver a man? Since when did my father hire a female driver?”
I had some doubts and felt somewhat uncomfortable.
“Syl, what are you doing there? Are you also a waitress?” Cecelia had just arrived. Seeing that I was lost in my thoughts, she patted me on the shoulder and made a joke.
“I’m waiting for you. Isn’t that wonderful?” I came around and smiled. I held Cecelia’s arm. “Let’s go. Greta is waiting for me!”
As we went inside, I chatted with Cecelia. We arrived at the room that we had booked in advance. After opening the door, I smelt the fragrance of the coffee. The stereo in the corner played a piece of classical music, which made me feel refreshed.
Greta posed with a cup in hand. Janessa was taking pictures of her. Greta posted the pictures on the Line to seduce boys.
I thought Greta was flippant. She knew nothing about love. Now I thought she was a clever girl.
“Here you are, Syl, Celia.” Seeing us Greta resumed her postures. Now she looked more normal. She smiled and waved at us. “Take a seat. I ordered some dishes. Trust me The coffee is amazing!”
Cecelia and I sat down. “OK. We trust you!”
The four of us shared a coffee table. The beautiful waitress wore a tight dress. Her hair was wrapped up, adding charm to her face.
I order a mocha. It was a sweet kind. The waitress showed us how to make a cup of coffee. At the same time, she told us in a soft voice about the price, place of production, and taste. This experience was wonderful.
While we were drinking the coffee, other dishes were also served on the table. Each of them tasted good.
Just as the waitress closed the door, I saw Frederic and Tristan passing by.
