Chapter 102
Chapter 102
“Immature,” Frederic said coldly, and then he put on a black down jacket, wore a matching knitted hat, and walked out.
I followed and went outside, wrapping the scarf tightly around my neck, and started squatting on the ground to roll snowballs.
The snow was very cold, and my hands quickly turned red from the freezing temperature. The servant brought me gloves, and after putting them on, I continued the great task of rolling snowballs. Frederic, on the other hand, stood still.
“I wanted you to accompany me to build a snowman, not watch me build a snowman,” I said unhappily.
“Do you still think of yourself as a three–year–old child?” Frederic retorted unhappily. “You’re so grown up now, why bother building a snowman?”
Was he like this in the previous life when he was building a snowman with Emilia? Angrily, I picked up a piece of snow and threw it at Frederic without any hesitation.
Frederic patted the spot where he was hit and defiantly picked up some snow to throw at me.
The two of us started a snowball fight, but Frederic had a strong arm and accurate aim. He hit me every time, while I kept missing in panic.

I felt unwilling and reluctant after losing. I threw a snowball at him and it hit him right on the head. He cried out in pain and then looked up at me angrily.
“You hit me!” I taunted, wiggling my finger and laughing triumphantly.
Frederic picked up a snowball about the size of a basketball from the ground and raised it above his head, ready for revenge. Seizing the opportunity, I took a quick step and darted into his arms, tightly clinging to his waist. Then, I looked up at him and said, “Go ahead, hit me! If you manage to kill me, you can marry Emilia!”
Snowflakes fell on my face, on my eyelashes, and also on the tips of Frederic’s hair. He looked down at me, his eyebrows and eyes so beautiful that they were flawless.
The atmosphere seemed somewhat frozen, and Frederic and I locked eyes. Although I had loved him for ten years and had experienced a few moments of marital intimacy, this innocent playfulness was still a first.
I didn’t know if I intentionally wanted to do it before Emilia or if I was using this as an excuse to make up for my pitiful past self.
“Cheater.” Frederic finally averted his gaze, looking slightly uncomfortable. He threw the snowball on the ground, and I smartly let go of him.
Frederic returned to the room, leaving me standing in the snowy landscape lost in thought. It took me a while to snap out of it and get ready to continue building a snowman, but

soon after, I gave up.
I felt freezing all over after I took a hot bath. While lying in bed, I opened the surveillance system on my phone and found the footage of me and Frederic having a snowball fight earlier.
Under the dim yellow light, snowflakes were falling. I was wearing a white sweater, wrapped in a black scarf, and holding onto Frederic’s waist as I looked up at him. He held a snowball above his head with both hands and looked
down at me.
If I hadn’t already died once, I would have been completely enchanted by this beautiful and romantic scene.
What was he thinking at that time? Was he thinking that it would be better if Emilia was in his arms instead of me?
I couldn’t help but take a screenshot and set it as my lock screen wallpaper.
I finally fell into a deep sleep, not knowing when. I didn’t even pick up Tristan’s call. It wasn’t until the next day when I woke up and saw the missed call that I quickly dialed back.
“I need your help,” Tristan said.
“What’s the rush?” I replied groggily, still half asleep.
“Let’s meet up and talk.” Tristan bossily arranged the meeting location and time, then hung up the phone.
I didn’t know what to do, so I scratched my head. I got up and pulled back the curtains to look outside. There was
