Jasmine And Her Bullies – Chapter 52
Jasmine.
The full moon celebration was usually an exciting and memorable experience. It was a memory that would last until the next celebration. It was such a happy day that everyone looked forward to. But not for me this time.
I found no interest in anything other than my mates. I longed for them and wanted to be with them. I wanted to spend this night and celebration with them, but I couldn’t. They had been playing too hard to get, especially since the stream incident, and I also tried my best to ignore them.
I didn’t want to be too available to them so I wouldn’t end up being taken for granted. But I couldn’t push back that sense of longing for them. I wanted to be with them, to have them all over me. I missed them so much, but there was nothing I could do. They have been avoiding me and practically haven’t said a word to me in a week.
To keep myself distracted so I wouldn’t think about them, I decided to go to the full moon celebration along with Mia. I went into my room and searched through my clothes, finding the perfect one I could wear for the day.
Since they were so keen on keeping up with their useless bet, I needed something to make them crazy.
There, I found the perfect dress that perfectly fit the occasion and also fit what my mates wanted perfectly. It was a stunning black dress that reached up to my thigh, with silver printings and beads all over it.
I raised it up with a big smile on my face. This would definitely drive them crazy, and they would come running to me. I was determined to break the hard men they feel they have become. I quickly rushed into the bathroom and took a quick shower.
I was out a few moments later, already dressed and ready for the celebration. I stood in front of the mirror, checking myself out to see how the dress fit perfectly. It seemed as though it was made just for me. I smiled and picked up a small silver purse and wore silver heels to complement it. I headed out, where Mia was already waiting by the car for me.
“Mia!” I called with a big smile on my face as I rushed to her.
“Wow!” She exclaimed, “you look so beautiful, Jasmine. Let’s go have some crazy fun,” She said, and we both laughed.
“We should get going now so we wouldn’t be too late,” I stated, and we both entered the car, heading for the celebration venue.
We got to the venue minutes later, and as usual, there was loud music playing with a stage already taken by dancers performing their beautiful and rhythmic routines.
On another end were swordsmen showing their skills and talents. On another end were archers, also showing their beautiful archery skills.
I smiled as I looked around; it was such a cool place to be at that moment. But I wasn’t completely fine.
The thoughts of my mates keeping their distance and playing hard to get still ran through my mind, making it difficult for me to focus on the moment.
Mia suddenly grabbed my hand. “Let’s go get a drink, Jasmine,” she said, pulling me to the stand. “Give us two shots each!” She requested.
Wasn’t two shots too much for us? We had just gotten to the party, and I was sure we would want to drink more later. It would get too much, but I ended up not bothering about that. I would do anything to get my three mates’ thoughts off my head.
With that, I poured down the two shots, a loud laugh escaping my lips as it felt like I was finding myself back in the moment I wanted to be in.
Mia grabbed my hand again. “Let’s dance before taking another shot,” she stated and pulled me to the dancing, where we began to sway and move to the rhythm of the songs. My eyes were fixed on Mia through the dance as I would have still been curled up thinking about my mates if she hadn’t been there, which made me notice when she suddenly stopped dancing.
I moved closer to her, and was about to ask her what was wrong when she pointed and mentioned,
“that man. What is this feeling?” She began to move closer to the direction she pointed to, like there was something drawing her closer to the place.
I also couldn’t move from where I was. I just watched as she walked away, following the direction she mentioned. I believed she needed privacy and she would be back when she was done.
As I continued to dance for more minutes and she wasn’t back, I decided to take a walk around the venue. As I got out, I saw the sign which pointed in the direction of a lake. I smiled as it was the perfect place to get the thoughts off my head.
I headed towards the lake and had almost gotten there when a hand grabbed me, turning briskly and pinning me to the wall with the other hand around my mouth, preventing me from screaming.
My eyes popped out of their sockets when I saw who it was. I couldn’t believe my eyes. What was he doing here? Why was he here?
He dropped his hand from my mouth, and instead of screaming and calling for help, I only stuttered, “Noah!”
He nodded with a smile on his face. “Yes, that is me. You are seeing the right person.”
I shook my head. It couldn’t be possible. I thought I was free from him, but it seemed as though he was back into my life again.
“What do you want? What are you doing here?” I demanded.
He moved closer to me, one of his hands on the wall as he leaned closer.
“I have been calling and sending you messages, but none of them were returned. So, I am here to see if you have really been getting my texts or you never saw them.”
I chuckled. That really couldn’t be the reason he came. “That is not all, is it?”
“Actually, it is not. I am also here to take you back.” He smiled, grabbing me by my waist. “I know you are just with those three because they satisfy you sexually. I’m sure you are still in love with me, not them. I do not care you being with them, and…”
I pushed him away from me, and before he could say any other thing, I landed a slap on his face. He had been saying the same thing to me, all over again, and making me feel like I was nothing but something he could toy with.
“How dare you!” He growled, holding onto his already red cheek with his eyes blazing with anger. “You should be ready for my wrath! I will be sure to destroy your mates and keep you for myself, and there would be nothing you can do about it!”
Before he could make any move or say any more words, I kicked him right in his groin and took to my heels, running back into the venue and mixing up with the crowds there so I wouldn’t be seen.
I couldn’t believe that he was so shameless to bring himself back to me and ask me to still get things to continue with him, after all he did to me and the lies he told me. How shameless could he be?
I felt irritated by his actions and angry. I wished there was a way to make him regret all that he has said to me and his threats.
I decided to get back into the party, but it didn’t work out. The music and the cheerful shouts from the crowd felt like cries to my ears. I knew that wouldn’t work. I headed for the stand where I requested more shots and gulped them down.
I couldn’t tell anyone about this because of the celebration going on, and it was too heavy to hold on to myself. The only way to relieve myself of that burden was to take more shots.
I kept filling the glass and gulping it down. It was the only way I could think of.
