Gina, And Her Triplet Alphas

Jasmine And Her Bullies – Chapter 13

Jasmine

“Now, it is time for the moonlight chant!” The organizer announced.

A big smile spread across my face; I had to follow the path Noah had already laid. He competed against the three brothers and won along with them.

I had to win this too. It would be so great for the two of us to be the queen and king of this Luna festival. How sweet would that be?

“May the participants please step forward?” one of the organizers of the event said into the mic for everyone to hear.

Noah moved closer to me and whispered in my ear, “I know you are my Queen already, but I want you to win this so we can show everyone how good we look together. I trust you, and I know you can win this. Go for it!” He said as he kissed my cheek.

Goosebumps grew all over my body. I knew this was going to be a great experience, winning this competition and being crowned the queen of this festival along with Noah as the king.

It would spice up this day.

I looked at him and nodded. I would do my best to ensure that I win this.

I stepped forward, and Mia also came forward. I felt a little pulled back, knowing that I was going to contest against my best friend, and I wanted to win. Neither did I want to see her lose. What should I do?

I looked at Noah where he was, and he nodded at me, clapping and chanting my name. My gaze went slowly to where Mia’s brothers were standing, also clapping and chanting Mia’s name.

Even though there were other contestants, I was particular about my friend and how the result of the competition might affect our friendship.

I didn’t want Mia to lose, and I also wanted to win. I wanted to go to this competition with everything in me so I could win and be Noah’s Queen.

I felt a hand on my shoulder and turned to see that it was Mia. “Are you okay?” She asked, “You have to focus. You know the competition starts soon, and you can’t lose!”

I smiled; she was such a rare gem. We were both competing for something, and she was cheering me up.

“You have to win too!” I said and hugged her, leaving it to the heavens to decide who would win between us.

“I believe everyone knows about this competition,” the organizer started, “for those who don’t know, the participants will have to sing while holding their moonstone, and the moon will shine on either one or in rare cases two of the participants. The chosen or two of the participant will emerge as the winners,” he explained, and everyone cheered.

Mia turned to me, “Are you ready?” She asked, and I nodded, “Let’s go for it then!” she said excitedly.

“You may begin!” the anchor chanted.

We began, and I started singing, taking the highest pitch I could and forming a melodic sound. I closed my eyes and got lost in the melody of my song.

Singing was what I did when I was young to get away from all stress; I did it everywhere, and I believed it was going to pay off now.

With my eyes closed, I felt a sharp light shining on me; I could feel it, not see it. I opened my eyes one after the other, and I had to bend my head immediately; I couldn’t stand the light. It was the moon!

The moon shone on me, and when I turned, I saw it shining on Mia too. I was so happy; it meant that we would both be selected as the winners of the competition, and I was excited about it.

“We have found our winners!” The organizer announced.

He held my hand and Mia’s hand, “She is the queen of this Luna festival,” he said, raising my hand, “And she is the sage, as the moon favored Jasmine over Mia.”

I was a bit sad that Mia and I couldn’t be the queen together, but I cheered up when I saw the big smile on Mia’s face. It was still a victory.

She held my hand and jumped excitedly, “We won!”

“Yes, we did.” I smiled and pulled her close, hugging her.

Later on, we were brought to the stage and crowned the Queen and King of the festival. Our faces were filled with smiles and excitement.

Noah walked to me and held my hand, “I knew you were going to win the competition, and before I forget, you sing beautifully,” he smiled, “I would like to make you my Queen in the future. I want you by my side every day and every minute, I…” he was still talking when Mia interrupted him.

“Jasmine, come with me,” Mia said, pulling me away from Noah, and I couldn’t hear all he had to say, but I felt like he was going somewhere with that.

“Is everything okay?” I asked, confused as to why she would have to pull me away when I was talking to a man she knew I was in love with.

“Do you know what is going to happen next?” She asked.

I shook my head, how could I know that? “I am not a fortune teller or future teller, Mia. How am I supposed to know what will happen next?” I asked, still confused.

“It is the dance, Jasmine!” She said, excitedly.

I had never seen her so excited before. It was just a dance, why was she so excited about it? I was really confused. I just wanted her to get straight to the point and stop beating around the bush.

“The exciting part is there is more to this dance than it seems,” she stated.

“And why is that?” I asked.

Before she could answer my question, “It is time for the dance, take your positions!” announced the anchor. And Mia pulled me to the middle of where the dance was. take place.

The dance began, starting with a solemn sound at first.

“Just close your eyes and dance, Jasmine. Whatever happens, when you open your eyes will answer the question you asked,” she said cheerfully, beaming from ear to ear.

She was suddenly making me anxious to know what this dance was all about. I did as she had said, I closed my eyes, and the once solemn song began to go fast, and faster, and I found myself lost in the rhythmic beat.

I moved and swayed swiftly to the sound, laughing and giggling as it was all fun. Was this what this dance was all about? Or was there something more?

It was like the song was a spell, being used to hypnotize people, as I could no longer think about anything else. All that was in my mind was dance!

The song finally stopped with a loud chant, and we all stopped dancing. My eyes seemed to be spinning, so I took my time in opening them.

I squinted my eyes open, and I was surprised to find myself in between the three brothers, Ethan, Calix, and Zane. Their faces were furrowed as they peered at me, scrutinizing my whole body from head to toe.

I shrugged and walked away from their midst. It was uncomfortable being stared at by them without them saying a word to me.

I took it like it was a prank played on me by Mia to get her brothers and me talking and getting on good terms.

I looked around, searching for Noah, but I couldn’t find him anywhere. I stepped out of the crowd and walked to the games segment, but I still couldn’t find him. I was confused.

Finally, I stepped out of the festival ground, my heart thumping hard in my chest as I wondered where he could be.

“Noah!” I called, but I was met with silence. “Noah!” I called again, but it was the same response; silence.

Was he angry that I didn’t let him finish what he was saying? Has something happened to him?

Where could he be?
