Gilded captive heart

Chapter 33

Nova's head throbbed with pain as she slowly regained consciousness. Her eyes fluttered open, revealing a dimly lit, unfamiliar space. Panic welled up inside her as she realized she was lying on a cold, hard surface.

Blinking against the disorientation, Nova tried to move, but her limbs felt heavy and unresponsive. It was then that she noticed the restraints that bound her wrists and ankles, securing her to a makeshift bed.

Her heart pounded loudly in her chest as the memories of her abduction rushed back. She had been ambushed, knocked unconscious, and now found herself in this nightmarish situation.

As her eyes adjusted to the dim light, she became aware of a shadowy figure standing in the corner of the room. The figure slowly came into focus, revealing the sinister face of the merchant who had kidnapped her, a malicious grin twisting their features.

With a cold, menacing tone, the merchant began to speak, outlining their sinister plans for Nova and the ordeal that awaited her in captivity. Nova's fear deepened, but she knew she had to find a way to escape this dire situation and reunite with the brothers who would undoubtedly come searching for her. I just hope they make it in time
