Gilded captive heart

Chapter 15

The next day, a soft knock on the door roused Nova from her slumber. With a sense of curiosity, she got up and opened the door, finding Lorvik standing there with a smile on his face. His tails swished around excitedly, and he greeted her with a cheerful "Good morning."

Nova returned the smile and the greeting. "Good morning. I guess you're my next mate taking me out?" she asked playfully.

Lorvik nodded enthusiastically. "Yup," he confirmed, his excitement palpable. Nova agreed to join him, and after a quick exchange, she headed to change into suitable attire. Once ready, they set off together.

Curiosity got the best of Nova, and she couldn't help but ask, "So, where are we going today?"

Lorvik's grin widened, and he responded with a touch of excitement, "We're going into town, to the market."

Nova looked intrigued but also a bit puzzled. "Market? Like a food store?" she questioned.

Lorvik chuckled and explained, "Yes, but this market sells everything."

As they made their way to the hover vehicles, Nova's gaze was drawn to the futuristic craft in wonder. It was reminiscent of a mini bus but with a sci-fi twist. Lorvik took the lead and started the vehicle, and with a gentle hum, it lifted off the ground, leaving the castle grounds behind. As they soared through the air, Nova pressed her face to the window, taking in the breathtaking view of the planet below.

The sight was a spectacle of beauty, with lush greenery adorning various areas. Nova's eyes widened in awe as she soaked in the vibrant landscapes. She found herself lost in the surreal beauty of the world she now found herself in. Unbeknownst to her, Lorvik was watching her closely, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips as he observed her wonder.

As the vehicle descended, Nova's attention was drawn to a gathering of people in a particular area. She turned to Lorvik, her curiosity piqued, and cleared her throat before asking, "What are all those people gathering around for?"

Lorvik's gaze shifted to the crowd as well, and he replied, "That's the market." With a gradual descent, he skillfully maneuvered the vehicle to a parking spot.

The door slid open, and the bustling atmosphere of the market greeted them. Nova stepped out, her eyes widening as she took in the lively scene around her. The market was a vibrant tapestry of colors, sounds, and scents. Lorvik offered her a warm smile, clearly enjoying her reaction, and gestured for her to lead the way. As they ventured deeper into the market, Nova couldn't help but feel a sense of exhilaration. This unexpected journey into the heart of Aurium's bustling life was a stark reminder that her connection with these alien brothers was opening doors to experiences she had never imagined.
