I yelped as I was pulled to the edge of the bed. I wasn’t going to survive this woman if I couldn’t find a way to flee. I tried to pull away completely, but her grip was so tight it was bruising. The wolf, I still didn’t know the name of, made a move with her hand. It seemed she was going to wrap her claws around my throat. My eyes widened in the realization that I couldn’t do anything now. 

Just before her fingers could wrap around me, her movements were pulled to a stop with little to no effort. I froze with my eyes locked onto the woman. 

“What do you think you’re doing here?” I don’t think I’ve ever been happier to hear Nicolas’s voice. Before she could even respond to him, she dropped to the floor. I stayed frozen as my eyes were now locked. with his instead.
