Getting $10 Trillion Out Of Nowhere

Chapter 525

Chapter 525: Mandy in Despair
At Harlem's Gold, inside an office.
Mandy and Lily sat on the sofa, their faces filled with tension as if walking on thin ice.
The deadline for Mandy to pay Zill had arrived, but she couldn't come up with the 20 million.
So, this time, Zill had someone bring her directly to Harlem's Gold.
Since Lily was Mandy's roommate, Zill was worried that she might call the police, so he had her brought along as well.
"Zill, I beg you, can you give me a few more days? I will definitely repay you this money!" Mandy pleaded in a humble tone to Zill.
"Give you more time?" Upon hearing Mandy's words, he couldn't help but burst into laughter, then said calmly, "Mandy, how many days have I already given you? Where is the money? Even if you can repay half of it now, it would be fine. But so far, I haven't seen a single penny. How can 1 give you more time?"
"Zill, my boyfriend is really wealthy. I'm sure 1 can get this money from him!" At this point, Mandy had placed all her hopes on Connor because she knew deep down that only he could come up with that money and help her.
"Do you think I will still believe you? Just wait here quietly! The boss of our casino will be here soon, and then we'll see how he deals with you!"
He impatiently said to her.
"Wait?" She was puzzled when she heard his words, then asked with a hint of confusion, "What do you want me to wait for?"
"What else can you wait for? Our casino's boss will be here soon, and then we'll see how he handles both of you. It's not up to me to decide," replied Zill indifferently.
Upon hearing his words, a look of nervousness appeared on her face.
She had heard about the boss of Harlem's Gold before. She knew that if he came, she would have no good outcome. The lightest punishment could be being sold to a wealthy person as a lover, and the heaviest could be her life being taken away.
"Zill, please, I'm begging you, can you give me two more days? I promise I can repay you this money!" Mandy said and kneeled on the ground as her expression pitiful as she shouted at Zill.
However, he didn't even spare a glance at her because he knew he had no say in how to deal with her at this point.
"Zill, I... I didn't owe you any money. Can you just let me go? I promise I won't say anything after I leave..." Lily, who had started to get nervous as well, stammered as she spoke to Zill.
"Shut the hell up! I've already said it. The boss of our Harlem's Gold will be here soon, and how he handle the two of you will not be up to me. It depends on what our boss says!" Zill shouted impatiently.
Seeing his attitude, Mandy knew that she was definitely in trouble today. She slumped to the ground, her face extremely pale.
"Mandy, think of a solution quickly! These people won't let us go..." Lily's
expression became even more nervous as she urged Mandy.
"What solution can I come up with now? Should I call Connor? He would never help me!" Mandy exclaimed in an agitated tone.
Upon hearing the name Connor, Zill glanced at Mandy indifferently without saying a word.
"You should try again. You've been together with Connor for two whole years. I believe he won't abandon you in times of need!" Lily exclaimed.
After hesitating for a moment, Mandy looked up at Zill and whispered, "Zill, can I make a phone call to my boyfriend?"
He glanced at her hesitating for two seconds, then signaled to the bodyguard beside him.
The bodyguard immediately took out her phone and handed it to her.
After receiving the phone, she quickly found Connor's number and dialed it.
"Ring... Ring..."
After two rings, Connor unexpectedly answered the call.
"Hello."
Connor's voice came through.
Upon hearing his voice, she became excited and hastily shouted, "Connor, is that you?"
"It's me. What's the matter?" he replied calmly.
"Connor, do you remember what 1 told you last time? I've been caught by the people from Harlem's Gold. I'm begging you, please, just consider it for the sake of the two years we've been together. Can you help me repay this money? I'm willing to do anything you ask..." Mandy rambled on incoherently.
"Mandy, do you remember what you said to me when we broke up?" He calmly interrupted her words.
Mandy stood frozen in place.
"I remember you told me that someone like me is not worthy of being with you. An orphan like me, with no money, no power, no background. Even if I spent my whole life delivering takeout, I still wouldn't compare to a single hair of
Brandon's!"
"Back then, I was so disgraceful and subservient in your eyes. And now you come to me, begging. Don't you think you have no shame? Now you realize that we've been together for two years. But when you humiliated me in front of so many people, did you ever consider my feelings?"
The two sentences from Connor left Mandy speechless.
She stood there holding the phone, her expression blank, unsure how to answer
his questions.
"Furthermore, when you took away ten million from my hands, didn't you say you would never come to me again? So why are you seeking me out now?"
Upon seeing her silence, he continued his cold questioning.
"Connor, I... I was wrong back then..." she stuttered.
"Since you know you were wrong back then, now you should bear the consequences of your past actions!" he coldly replied to her, then without any hesitation, he hung up the phone.
"Connor, please listen to me. I truly regret it now. 1 can make it up to you...'
Mandy tried to explain, but Connor had already ended the call, leaving only the
sound of the dial tone on the phone.
"Clang!"
The phone slipped from her hand.
Despair filled her expression.. Only now did she realize what a foolish decision it was to break up with Connor back then!
