Chapter 47: You Sign It

Chloe Lawson walked over to Connor McDonald with the contract in her hand a few minutes later.
She leaned over and said sweetly, “Mr. McDonald, I have prepared your contract. You just have to out down your signature!”
Connor wasn’t sure if Chloe was doing it on purpose, but she leaned over closer to Connor, revealing her fair and voluptuous
chest that was attractive.
“Did I say 1 am going to buy this villa for me? Do you think this villa is worthy of me?”
Connor admired Chloe and asked calmly.
“Mr. McDonald, this villa is indeed not worthy of you. Are you planning to give it away?”
Chloe leaned over and asked, puzzled.
When the other people in the showroom heard what Connor said, they were stunned, too. After all, Connor had already paid the
money in full earlier. If he was not buying the villa for himself, was he planning to give it to someone else?
Everyone started to feel a little envious. They were jealous of the lucky person who would get a villa worth eight million dollars for
no reason!
“Lily, come here!”
At this moment, Connor suddenly spoke.
When Lily heard Connor’s order, she was surprised. Chloe was also a little puzzled.
Connor claimed that he did not buy this villa for himself. He wasn’t planning to live in the villa but wanted to give it away. On top
of that, he is also asking Lily to come over.
Chloe only had one thought then. Did Connor buy this villa to give it to Lily?
Lily stood in place in a daze. She seemed to be at a loss for words.
She had not wholly processed that Connor bought the villa for eight million dollars in a lump sum. All of this was too
overwhelming to her. It was all so surreal.
“Lily, what are you still standing there for? Mr. McDonald is asking you to come over!”
When Lily did not move nor react, Chloe frowned and called out to her.
“Yes, Ms. Lawson!”
Lily hurriedly agreed, then nervously walked up to Connor and asked timidly, “Mr. McDonald, what... What do you want me to
do?”
“You sign the contract!”
Connor sat on the sofa and said very calmly.
Hearing what Connor said, the room immediately burst into a flurry of activities; everyone was shocked.
Everyone immediately understood what Connor meant by that single sentence. He planned to give the villa to Lily!
No one would have thought Connor, who was dressed like a loser, would be able to afford this villa.
Now, he had bought the villa but not for himself; for Lily Schmidt, whom he had known for less than two hours!
Most of the customers who could come to look at properties in Porthampton were of the wealthy class in Oprana, but this was
the first time they had met such a wealthy tycoon like Connor McDonald.
He had spent eight million dollars just so casually!
And that purchase was made for someone else. This was too unbelievable!
Everyone looked at Connor, deep shock in their eyes.
To them, all of this was so surreal. It was like a movie scene playing right before them.
If they hadn’t seen it with their own eyes, they wouldn’t have believed that this could happen in real life!
In fact, eight million dollars was nothing to Connor.
However, Connor wasn’t the type of rich person who spent money lavishly. He did think that the villa’s location was a little too
obscure. So, even if he were to have bought it, he wouldn’t live there anyway. Therefore, he might as well just give it to someone
else who could use it.
He gave it to Lily because he saw a small part of his past in Lily.
He and Lily had one thing in common; they were insulted by others because they did not have money!
“Mr. McDonald, what... What did you say? This is your villa, I... I can’t sign it!” Lily exclaimed.
Lily, pure and kind-hearted, did not know what Connor meant and quickly stuttered in response.
“Sign it. This villa is yours now!”
Connor looked at Lily and said calmly.
“This villa is mine?”
Lily looked at Connor and was once again surprised.
“Yes, I’m planning to give this villa to you!”
Connor looked at Lily and nodded slightly.
Seeing this, Chloe’s eyes suddenly widened as mixed feelings filled her heart.
She couldn’t help but feel a little regretful. Why didn’t she entertain Connor properly when he came in? Not only did she fail to
please Connor, she even ridiculed him.
Chloe was already twenty-eight years old this year. She had worked in the showroom for five years, and it was not easy for her
to get to the manager position.
However, she had also learned something in these five years – -that if she wanted to survive in this society, she had to be rich!
So even though many people tried to woo her, she rejected them.
She felt that these people were simply not rich enough to satisfy her material needs.
Chloe had always fantasized that she would meet a super-rich kid to marry her one day. That way, her life would be complete.
However, she never expected that she would really meet a super-rich kid today and not recognize the opportunity.
Connor was young and rich, and he was pretty handsome. To Chloe, he was the Prince Charming she dreamed.
So, Chloe was extremely regretful. She regretted that she did not seize the opportunity to please Connor.
If she had treated Connor well earlier, perhaps this villa would not have been given to Lily, but her!
“Mr. McDonald, this villa is worth more than eight million dollars. We don’t know each other. Why are you giving it to me?” Lily
asked
After finally processing what Connor had said, Lily was wary about Connor giving her the villa for no reason. So, she asked him
out of curiosity.
“There’s no reason. I just feel that this villa is not good enough for me, so 1 thought of giving it to someone else. Since you
brought me here today, it means that we are fated. Moreover, I think you kind of need some money right now. After signing the
contract, you can sell the villa and do something great for your life!” Connor looked at Lily and said slowly.
Lily stared at Connor. She knew very well that nothing is free in this world. Since Connor wanted to give her the villa, he must
have some requests.
As for what kind of request, Lily could already guess.
To Lily, an eight-million-dollar villa was something she never could imagine owning. Even if she resold it, she could at least get
six million dollars.
If Lily really got this money, she would be able to cure her father of his illness, but she would also be able to live a happy life with
her parents. She wouldn’t have to work part-time every day.
If that was the case, Lily felt that she would do it even if she had to pay a certain price..
