Genesis' Spirit of Goddess

Chapter 19.

My stomach retched, and my throat was dry. A distant thud echoed across the cold hard ground, ricocheting into my ear.

“Azah. Azah. Stay with me Azah.”

My eyes opened slowly, as I tried to focus from my disfigured vision. My head ached as I struggled to assess my surroundings. Locked in a cage, and tied up tightly till the point where moving became painful. Breathing became harder as I tried to calm myself down and focus on my dark surroundings. My head throbbed in pain and my left face burned.

How did I get here?

Hearing loud footsteps. The torture was unbearable.

“Help!” I screamed weakly.

“No one is coming to save you, girl.” The familiar deep voice spoke, I looked up to his emerald eyes and noticed it was the same man who kissed my hand.

“You should introduce yourself, after all, you will be my mate.”

Chris. Was his name. I remember how uncomfortable I felt around him and now I know the reason why. My mom was right, people like him are forcing and capturing people with my genes to be mates in the thought that their pack will be stronger.

“You won’t get away with this,” I said angrily.

He cackles and swings his hand swiftly, slapping my face. He did this continuously. Fear bulged from my eyeballs, he grabbed both of my cheeks and pulled me closer to the cage bar.

“SHUT UP stupid girl, what do you know? By the time I mark you and make you have my child, it’ll be too late for anyone to save you. We will be bonded for life. ”

“DORLES! Have you finished up with the stupid spell” He yells as he aggressively pushes me away from the bars. I wince from the pain.

“Almost master,” Dorles said. The forest is nearly dark, but I notice to my left a girl locked in the cage. “SISTER! talk to her, she is my sister. Goddess of Dawn”

“Hello” I didn’t know that I was able to speak to her in my mind.

He will hurt you as he did to me.” The girl cried out.

“What has he done to you?”

She begins to shake. “Many things. Many shameful things. Do not show your eyes when flashing Azah, the witch will try to weaken your spirit too. My spirit and I have not been in contact for a year now. The witch believes that you’re new so you don’t know how to use your powers with the spirit. If she sees you flashing your eyes she will make a spell to weaken and you’ll end up losing your spirit.”

I closed my eyes. How the fuck did I get myself into this shit. I try to stay calm while I form a plan.

You know my name, so what is yours.”

“Arya.”

"Is he my mate?"

"No. He is not my mate either. I think Dorles is creating a ritual to make you and I, his mate. I can't get to my spirit world, she has weakened me."

“Arya so how do I get us out of here, does the witch know I can speak to you.?”

“No, she doesn’t. You have not connected deep enough with your spirit. Go to your spirit world. Connect yourself with your spirit, by doing so, you will be open to the greatest change. Only then will you be able to contact your guardian. Your spirit world is dark, and your guardian can’t get in. Go there.”

“How?”

“Azah you are one with the spirit. Go now!”

He arrives again, this time surrounded by many others. Spitting at my face and calling us names.

“STUPID CUNTS! What makes you mere humans so special to us?”

“With this one, we will be unstoppable. She’s more powerful than this foolish girl.” He continues to slap me and grabs the roots of my locs rightly and whispers to my ears

“I can’t hurt you just yet until you give me what I want.”

“Alpha Silver. They are coming”

“Fuck, everyone get ready. The Alpha is weak, I heard he never shifted in front of his people. His wolf must be small, so Jake and I will take him down easily.”

He turns to me with a devilish smirk and says “I don’t know what you see in that fool, he shouldn’t even be Alpha.”

No Zion!

*************

Walking in pitch-black darkness, everything is left silent by the wind of night. This is no special kind of night, where night tends to hold the stars and help them shine bright. No, there is no moonlight and no shimmering stars. The air is decaying and stifling. I bit my tongue in nervousness and the metallic taste of blood filled my mouth. But how could this be? Looking around as my eyes try to adjust to seeing in the dark. This can’t be my spirit world. Can it?

In the dense shadows, from afar I see her walking. I notice that she’s no longer glowing bright like before. I remember how she once walked comfortably in the pure blackness, her glowing brighter than the Moon itself. The night was like a stage for her to stand out. I couldn’t wait any longer for her to walk to me. I lift my dress and began to run to her. Quick with my feet my eyes only fix on her. The ground is uneven, falling and tripping over some branches. I got up and kept on running. The further I ran, the more distance between me and her grew. I ran faster like each step mattered, feeling the air and the earth. Forgetting the cuts from the branches or the pain and discomfort I felt from Chris punching and kicking me. I couldn’t lose her, not when I needed her the most.

Without any thought, I began to yell to her in desperation “COME TO ME!”

Remembering what my Aunt Selene told me “you can only meet a spirit as deeply as it has met itself….. Have you accepted her?”

Running, and running as the sudden streams of tears came down my cheeks. My vision is blurry from the rush of tears, I couldn’t see her. My hand extended as if I’m reaching out for something near, “COME TO ME” I yelled in distress.

I finally understood what my Aunt Selene meant by that. I only accepted her, because of the fear of losing my mom. The fear of knowing my mother would sacrifice her well-being for my health. I accepted her in fear of leaving everyone, in fear of experiencing the pain of losing my mother and holding that guilt for not accepting my spirit in the first place. I’m willing to provide love and connection, understanding and compassion for everyone else. What about me? My spirit always kept on reminding me that we are one, yet I never took that to heart.

I stopped, falling on my knees, bowing over and my palms on my face as tears continue to stream down over my newfound realization. My insecurities carried deep inside. Those insecurities are how I perceive myself. Not providing enough space for myself, to vibrate high and radiate deeply. A bright glow appears as I slowly tilt my head up, I see her reflection of me. The only difference between her and me is her locs weren't auburn but all white. The eyes didn't glow electric blue like usual, instead, they glowed pure white. Her magnetization of light gives a bright glow. She extends her hand out, I take it as she lifts me higher and higher. One by one the stars began to glow throughout the sky. A friendly blackness with its innocent inborn spark.

Now you are stronger, wiser, and freer than you have ever been. You have arrived at the crossroads of your destiny. It’s time. My sister is near, she will be with Ayra soon.”

“Awake your powers. We must call Yehu and Zeus.”
