Ganersam Volume 2

Chapter Epilogue

“I want a ship.”

“What kind?”

“A battle yacht.”

“Me not sure the word yacht and battle should be one sentence, but if ye can provide me with the necessary items, me could try.”

“How about this?”

I put a blueprint on top of her table. Amber took a close examination of the blueprint, before nodding.

“Yeah, me sure me can make it. But to build this from scratch will take a long time, though. How about taking an already available ship and upgrading it?”

“You could provide me with that ship?”

“If ye have the money, yes.”

“Alright. I’ll get you the materials and the money. Just tell me what you need.”

“Alright. Me going to study the blueprint first. Me tell ye when ready.”

“Alright, thanks.”

“No problem.”

I left Amber’s warehouse and walked back home. A lot had happened after the party.

We were rewarded with a huge sum of money. I also achieved my short-term dream and opened up a cafe in Omega. Now I can relax as the money poured in.

The boba stand had been moved out from the guild and into my own cafe, so I have two cafes now. Surprisingly, even after all this while, the boba stand was still popular. The popularity of my cafe even rivaled the guild’s own tavern. I heard a rumor the other day, saying that the guild’s hire-ups hold an emergency meeting in order to find a way to get back their edge.

Meanwhile, the others were still doing the stuff they had been doing.

Amel had continued working on the third slate with Riko. I heard they were still not making any progress.

Amber was assisting me in my plan for world-

I mean business domination. I had a lot of plans for our venture. I’m planning on adding more branches for my growing cafe and building an arcade. The arcade part was a bit harder, though, as I need to design the games myself. Things would definitely get interesting soon.

Nia had been recovering from the fight with N1. She had also been practicing with her new scythe, a ‘gift’ from her ex-master. She had been getting the hang of it.

Her fast learning skill isn’t just for show.

And Emma...

She followed me around as usual. She was so bored that she either went to the library or stalked me.

“It’s creepy, you know?”

I looked towards one of the alleyways, from which Emma poked her head out.

“How can you keep finding me?”

“You accidentally headbutted the wall, didn’t you?”

Emma quickly averted her gaze.

“Fine... where do you want to go?”

“I heard there’s a new barbecue place not far from here.”

“Lead the way.”

I let Emma lead me around.

“Do you mind if I ask something?”

I asked as we walked down the busy streets.

“What is it?”

“That night... What did you do with Nia?”

“You mean at the party night? Why are you asking about it now? It’s been a few days now.”

“Because it’s just the two of us now. It would be weird if the others heard about it.”

“Ah... nothing much, just my powers doing their thing.”

“What powers?”

“Well, for one, my holy blood prevented me from getting too drunk.”

“You look like you’re wasted back there.”

“Willy...”

She stopped. She turned back at me, her face serious.

“Wh... what is it?”

“I’m serious about what I said back then.”

“How are you able to say that with a straight face? Did you even remember what you said?”

Hearing that, Emma took three steps toward me, before throwing herself at me.

“Spoil me. I’m a human now, I want to be spoiled too.”

“Fi... fine, I’ll do it once we arrive back home, but please let go. It’s weird doing that in public.”

I pulled myself away from her. She looked at me straight in the eyes, I could feel my face going red from embarrassment.

“So... so, what about the one with Nia?”

I asked, trying to divert the topic before it gets weirder.

“Oh?”

Emma turned back and continued walking. I quickly caught up with her.

“I could use my powers to communicate with my masters. I simply ask them to connect Nia and Natalie.”

“Wait, You could do that!?”

“Yes, only for a short period, though, or else I’ll collapse again.”

“I see...”

“You have anyone you want to speak to? You’re not allowed to speak to anyone on Earth, though, just people in heaven.”

“Ah, no, I don’t have anyone. So does that mean Natalie is in heaven?”

“Of course. She sacrificed herself to rescue her friend, which helped the humans fight. That is an honorable deed. Besides, sending her to hell is just asking for trouble. She will end up helping the demons again.”

Emma then stopped in front of the barbecue shop. She looked inside.

“Natalie is a good person at heart. That’s what matters.”

“I see... but are you supposed to say that while drooling all for the meat?”

“Hey, it’s not my fault the smell is good. Come on, let’s get some barbecue.”

Emma grabbed my hand and pulled me inside.

We had a tasty lunch, before heading back home.
