Ganersam Volume 1

Chapter 23

“Home sweet home.”

I muttered to myself as I looked out the window. We were flying above Alpha.

The ship flew lower and soon touched down at Alpha’s airfield. It’s been quite a while since we left Alpha, and it’s good to finally be back.

“I’m sorry I can’t accompany you any further, I need to meet up with someone.”

Riko, the busy man, said from inside his carriage.

“Don’t worry, thanks for the ride, see you later Riko!”

Amel said as she waved toward Riko, us waving with her. Riko, in a carriage, waved back as he slowly drove away.

“Now what?”

Emma asked me.

“Let’s go to the guild.”

The three girls followed me as we made our way across Alpha. Arriving at the guild, we were greeted with a cheer from the adventurers.

“Look who’s back!”

“Is that another girl with him?”

“Damn, stop getting all the girls for yourself, Willy boy! Share some with us.”

I laughed as I passed them, waving toward the adventurers who were calling me out. I’m not particularly close with anyone else, yet, but I did get to know some adventurers here. I wonder if they’re worried about my sudden disappearance.

I made my way to the receptionist. Raben and Lisya were having a conversation at the receptionist’s table when we arrived.

“Hey, welcome back.”

“Thank you, Raben.”

Raben picked up his glass of beer and saluted me. Lisya, who was standing beside him, gave us a warm smile.

“Welcome back, we heard of your actions. Glad to see you all safe.”

“Haha, thank you. By the way, if you don’t mind me asking, have you completed the arrangements?”

“Oh, that? Yes. It was quite a sudden request, but I would say you are a really lucky guy. Please follow me.”

Lucky? I wonder what that’s about...

We followed her to the back of the guild, where we approached a carriage, loaded all of our stuff into the trunk, and hopped in.

Lisya drove us off.

“Where are we going?”

“You’ll see.”

Emma looked at me curiously, and I gave her a small smile.

After a roughly 15-minute drive, we arrived at our location.

“Here we are.”

We stopped in front of a bright blue house. The girls let out a gasp as they got off.

“Is this...”

“Ours?”

I gave them a thumbs up. Lisya unlocked the front gate and welcomed us in. The reward for the quest is 15 million Gualham.

Divided by 5, we each got 3 million Gualham.

And since this house costs 2.8 Million Gualham, then I’ll still have some to spare even after buying the house. I decided to not tell the girls about this so that it would be a surprise.

I was a bit concerned about how they would think about living under the same roof with a boy, but...

“This is so cool! I can’t believe we have our own base of operations!”

Amel was running around happily checking out the house. The house was a cozy home located not far from the guild. It had two floors.

There’s the living room, kitchen, and a single bedroom on the first floor, with the remaining four bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor.

There’s also a forward-facing balcony on the second floor, with another one on the rear, facing the nearby river. The rooms were pretty large. There’s also a small garden surrounding the house, with a storage shack at the back.

Technically, the house also included the land across the river. It’s a large flat open space, a space that I don’t have any plans for at the moment.

It would probably be important later on, we’ll see.

“The previous owner moved to Omega, so he wanted to sell it quickly. Just a bit longer and this house will be someone’s else.”

Lisya whispered to me. So that was what she meant by lucky.

We got a fully furnished house, located not far from the center of the town, with great views, for a relatively cheap price. Plus, there were not many other buildings surrounding us. We basically got this entire plot for ourselves. It certainly is a lot more than what I had asked for, and it’s an awesome deal.

“Do we get our own rooms?”

Nia asked as she took a peek at the first floor’s bedroom, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

“Yes.”

She turned around and hugged me. I really didn’t expect this, especially since she’s the quiet type.

“Thank you.”

She said while smiling. I guess this must be a great change compared to sleeping out in the wild.

“Come on, let’s check upstairs!”

Amel, who was already at the stairs, called. Nia let go of me and followed her up.

“Are there any conditions?”

Emma, who was still standing beside me, whispered to me.

“As long as you’re fine with sleeping under the same roof with a boy.”

“I don’t mind that. We done that countless times.”

We did not! She smiled at me and followed the others upstairs. I went back to Lisya, who was still standing in front.

“I’m glad you liked the house.”

She said while smiling.

“Thank you, here’s something from me.”

I gave her a small envelope, inside a bonus for her help picking up the house. The truth is, I simply told her that I’m interested in a new house, and she’s the one that found this one.

“Thank you very much. I’ll be leaving now. Good luck on your future adventures, William.”

“Thank you as well.”

I waved to her as she left the house.

“Now, it’s time to finally get some sleep.”
