Gamma’s Destined Mate.

Chapter 50

Adella Arcos - POV

I was startled awake when I heard the persistent knocking on my room door. I took my phone to check the time to see that it was past ten at night. I got up from my bed and walked to the door. This was the moment I desperately wanted a peephole in this door, but since there was none, I had no choice but to open the door. “I am sorry, were you sleeping?” it was the lady from the reception, and she had a tray of tea and some biscuits in her hand.

“No, I was about you and take a shower.” I lied even though that wasn't entirely a lie, given the fact that I was still in the clothes I was wearing that morning.

“Oh, then, here’s some snacks. I thought you might be hungry,” she said and passed me the tray. I took it with a polite smile on my smile.

“I didn't know you have welcome tea served at this motel.”

“Oh, no, we don't. I just saw how upset you were when you were checking in. I don't want to poke my nose in your life, but I thought you might need this.” she said, and this filled my heart with bliss with just her kind gesture.

“Thank you,” I said wholeheartedly, and she nodded her head.

“I know how it would feel like when you leave your house and everything you have known your entire life.” the lady began to speak, and there was a faraway look on her face, her eyes shone with a pain that was complex to understand. “I was kicked out of my house when I was eighteen because I got pregnant. I was in the same situation you were in.”

“I am so sorry to hear that.” I offered, and she just waved her hand.

“It's all right. But looking at you, I know you were not kicked out. Anyway, if you need any help, let me know.” she said, and I nodded my head before she walked away. I locked my door again and placed the tray on my night table. Even though I thought I was not hungry earlier, the smell of food just made my tummy rumble.

Before touching the food, I took my pajamas out, took a shower, and then ate the food that the lady brought before going to bed. My body was aching even for the slightest movement that I made while my mind was slowly shutting down till I was taken into a dreamless sleep.

Gamma Jose Gomez - POV

She had this victorious smirk on her face. “You will suffer for what you did, Gamma Gomez. And you will understand that very soon,” she said before walking away from there. I desperately wanted to chase after her and ask what she was trying to convey, but right then, a black Mercedes came and parked right behind my car.

I anxiously waited for the person to come out. Summer got out of the car and causally walked towards me. She completely ignored my presence and opened Adella’s house using a key, and when she was about to step inside, I held her hand. Did you tell Adella about what you saw?” I asked her. She turned around and glared at me but didn't speak for a couple of minutes.

“I think what is meant to be found would be found one way or the other,” she spoke in riddles, and it took me a few seconds to decode her message.

“Who told her?” I whispered. My heartbeat slowed down while Carlos howled in agony. We were able to feel that our mate was not near us even though I felt it earlier, I didn't want to accept that fact.

“I don't know. But, she was very upset. And it was all because of you!” Summer yelled while she held me by my collar. “It's because of you that she left me! You destroyed the happiness that we once had. How could you do that, Jose!” Summer started yelling, cursing, and hitting me, but I remained still. I know I fucking deserve every word that she utters.

Adella left me.

That information started to slowly sink in, making my eyes water. “Where did she go?” I mumbled when Summer was almost done with her ranting. She looked up at me, her eyes blood-red in color while her face was moist with tears.

“I don't know, and even if I do, I will never tell it to you. Let her at least find happiness somewhere else.” Summer growled at me, and even though I felt like that was the right thing to do for all the stupid mistakes I made, I knew I would never be able to live without her.

“She deserves an explanation,” I told her in a monotonous voice, but Summer shook her head.

“I don't think so,” she said before she stepped inside and banged the door in my face. I know she must be mad at me, but I have to find out where she is.

I walked back to my car and left that pack. I don't know where I should start looking or where I should go, but one thing was clear in my mind, I will not go back to my pack until I find Adella.

The pack was pretty crowded today, so it took me a while to drive out of there. While driving past the forest, I felt like someone was watching me, which made me slow down, I glanced behind using the rearview mirror, but no one was there except for the cars on the road.

I called Sebastian on my way. “Hello, I heard you left the pack without even coming to see us, man.”

“There was something important I had to do. Anyway, can you help me with something?” I asked him. I don't have the time to explain everything that happened right now.

“Sure, what is it?” he asked me.

“Can you check if Adella Arcos has joined any pack,”
