Gamma’s Destined Mate.

Chapter 48

Adella Arcos - POV

“Shall we go?” Summer asked me, and I nodded my head, got up from the floor, and dusted my dress. Summer helped me clean the mess in my house despite my objections, and now we were ready to go and meet Alpha Ralph.

“Do we need to get an appointment to meet him?” I asked her, and she shook her head.

“I informed his PA that it was urgent, so she said that we could come right now and meet him before his meeting,” she said, I nodded my head and grabbed my phone, but Summer snatched it from me.

“Wh…”

“It would be better if we could throw away your SIM card. We will get you a new one tomorrow,” she said, and I nodded my head. Summer drove us to Alpha Ralph’s place, and we were made to wait for a few minutes before the PA directed us inside.

“Please take a seat.” Alpha Ralph said, and Summer and I took our seats. “So, what can I help you with?”

“Alpha Ralph, I would like to leave this pack.” I blurted out, which made his eyes widen.

“Well, that is a dramatic decision to make, Miss. Arcos. Are you sure you want to leave this pack?” he asked me, and I nodded my head. “It will be hard to find admission in another pack for a few weeks once you leave. You know that, right?”

“I am aware of the consequences I will face, Alpha Ralph,” I told him strongly, and he nodded his head.

“Okay, I will ask my PA to start the process, and you will be out of this pack by tomorrow.” Alpha Ralph explained, and I nodded my head. “May I ask why you are leaving our pack, Miss. Arocs. I mean, I have never seen an individual like you who has the fiery and willpower to climb in rank.”

“Thank you so much, Alpha Ralph. But I think it is time for me to leave and explore the outside world. Maybe find my mate, too.” I answered, and he had a thoughtful look on his face.

“Well, that is a valid point to me,” he said and leaned back on his chair. “Okay, I will let my PA know about this soon,” he said, and I nodded my head, Summer and I soon left his office. After giving the PA all the necessary information that she needed, we left the pack house to my house.

“Shall I help you with the packing?” Summer asked me, and I nodded my head, and we made our way to my bedroom. I know I will not be able to take everything in here, so I decided to pack the most essential things and maybe buy the rest once I find an apartment for me to stay.

“Will you clear out all my kitchen utensils once I am out of this home, Summer?” I asked her, which made her look up from her folding. “You can take what you need and give out the rest,” I said.

“I will sell everything in here and transfer the money to you in a week or so?” she asked me, and I nodded my head. By the time we were done with all the packing, it was past two in the morning, so Summer and I went to bed since I had to leave the pack early the next day morning.

“The car will be here in ten minutes.” I heard Summer yell from the living room, which made me quickly apply some lip gloss, take my bag, and walk outside. “Have you taken everything?”

“Yes, if I miss anything, I will buy it later,” I said, and she nodded her head, but she still looked troubled and nervous. “Summer.” I walked towards her and made her look up at me. “I will not be gone forever. So relax.” I reassured her, and this made her eyes start to water.

“I am sorry, Adella. I should have told you about that picture back at the restaurant. I feel like I have betrayed you.”

“You have done no such thing. You only did that to protect me, and I understand, but I guess I will have to stand up for myself and protect myself, too. Don't worry about me.” I said, and she nodded her head.

Peep.

“I think the car is here,” I said, and then both of us walked out of the house. Vince had brought the rental car. He helped us load all my suitcases, and then it was time for me to say my goodbyes. “I will call you once I get to a hotel,” I told Summer, and she nodded her head before she pulled me into a hug.

“I will miss you so much,” she mumbled into my ears while I kept stroking her back.

“I will miss you too.” when I pulled back, I saw that her face was wet with tears, which made my heart ache. I never imagined that a day would come when I might have to leave the only friend that I had.

Vince stepped forward and pulled me into a hug. “I don't like you leaving this pack just because of that Coward, Adella,” Vince mumbled into my ears.

“It's not because of him, Vince. I think I deserve a change too.” I told him, and he nodded his head. After all those tearful goodbyes, I walked to the driver’s seat.

It's not easy for me to leave the only family that I have, but I know I deserve a change.

I started the car and soon drove out of that place. When I passed the pack’s invisible border, I felt something being torn away from me, and I knew that the bond between me and the pack had been seared forever, making me a rogue now till I found myself a new home.

“Where are we going, Adella?” Rachel asked me after a while.

“I don't know, but I guess far away from this pack,” I answered, and my wolf kept quiet again.
