Gamma’s Destined Mate.

Chapter 12

Adella Arcos - POV

The harsh light that was coming inside my room disturbed my sleep making me groan. I kept rolling in my bed for a while before I opened my eyes, and when I turned around, I realized that the place beside me was cold. I got up from the bed, pulled the blanket a giant my chest, and looked around for Jose.

Where did he go?

I got up from my bed and quickly went to the bathroom, after taking a shower, I changed into a sundress and left my room. I first checked in the kitchen, and then my living room, but Jose was nowhere to be found. A feeling of dread gradually consumed me.

Did he use me to just have sex?

A lot of thoughts were running through my head, but I put all that away and made my way to the kitchen to make a strong cup of coffee for my hangover.

Knock knock.

Did Jose come back?

I quickly poured my coffee into a mug, kept it on the dining table, and made my way to open the door. “Mr.Hans?” I was confused to see the grocery store owner, and he had a nervous look on his face.

“Miss Arcos, how are you?”

“I am doing fine. Anyway, you have come all this way to my house.” I commented, and he nodded his head, and he started to nervously scratch the back of his head.

“Well, do you have the bottle of wine that I gave you yesterday?” he asked me, and this puzzled me.

Didn't I pay for that last night?

“I think I might have given you the wrong bottle of wine last night.”

“What are you talking about?”

“Um, the bottle of wine that I gave you was for another customer. Because it was specifically tailored to his request.”

“Can you clearly explain what is going on in here, Mr.Hans.”

“Please don't tell this out anywhere, but that bottle of wine had a magic portion mixed to it. And whoever drinks it would be trapped in a spell for a few hours where they can enjoy their um, intimate life.” he stammered, and this made my eyes widen in shock.

“How can you be this careless, Mr.Hans,” I yelled at him, but he continued to apologize to me, but right now, that was not my concern.

Did Jose realize what was in that wine in the morning? Was that why he just left me alone without a word?

My heart sank to the pit of my stomach while dread slowly consumed me, fearing that he might reject me now for doing something like that. “It's all right, Mr.Hans,” I told him before he finally left my house. I quickly ran back into my room, my headache long gone, and grabbed my sandals before I left my house.

I literally ran to the pack house, and when I entered, that was when I realized that I didn't know where Gamma Gomez was staying. A lot of people were walking passed me, and some of them even glared at me for being in there. “Let's follow his scent. We can find him that way.” Rachel suggested, and I nodded my head closed my eyes, and concentrated on my mate’s scent.

The scent of cinnamon and apples led me up to the second floor, and I took the right-side hallway. “What the hell is this bitch doing in here.” I was almost at the end of the hallway when I heard Crystal’s voice.

When I turned around, I saw that Crystal looked pissed off. She marched towards me and stopped a few feet away from me. “What are you doing in here?”

“I…um…I came looking for Gamma Gomez.” I told her, and this made her narrow her eyes in suspicion.

“Why are you looking for him?”

“I want to ask if he can train me.” the lie came out so smoothly, I was amazed.

“You,” she asked with a mocking smile on her face. “Want to train? You can only teach some spoiled brats, Adella. You are not fit to learn all those.” she insulted me, and this made me curl my hand into fists.

“If you have the will to do it, then we can definitely do it,” I told her, and I turned around to go when she roughly held my shoulder and pushed me to the ground.

“Ouch!”

“You don't even deserve to stand and talk in front of me like this, bitch.” she sneered before she came and stood right in front of me. I quickly got up from the floor, and dusted my dress, and glared at her. “I should have thought you about your place a long time ago, but it was my mistake,” she said before she raised her hand to slap me, but I held it midair, which made her eyes widen in shock.

“Don't raise your hand against me, Crystal,” I warned her while a murderous look overtook her eyes, I let the hand go, but I didn't expect her punch. Her fist landed right on my nose.

“Argh!” I yelled in pain, and immediately, the last door in the hallway opened, and Gamma Gomez rushed out of his room.

“What the hell is going on in here?”

“Gamma Gomez, it's nothing,” Crystal said, but he pushed her away and rushed to my side. I took my hand away from my nose to see a pool of blood on my palms. “She is just an omega, Gamma Gomez. You…”

“Omega or not, you should have the brains to treat everyone with respect,” Jose yelled before he turned around and glared at her.

“Didn't you even learn the basic manners when you went to school?”

“I…”

“It's a shame to even call you Alpha Ralph’s sister.” Gamma Gomez said, and I saw her getting angry. She just stood there glaring at both of us before she walked out of there.

“Are you okay?” he asked me in a formal tone, and even for once, he didn't step forward to touch me, which tore my heart.
