Galaxy Of Hope

Chapter Saturday (1)

It had been quiet all Saturday. I glanced at my phone one more time to make sure I hadn’t missed any of his text message. I knew it was Andrew’s day off, but there was something about having him around me 24/7 other days and not having him for that one day a month that made me incredible anxious.

He had made sure Oak was with me all day and Sebastian was fast asleep in my bed right now, but Andrew always checked up on me. Even on these Saturdays he didn’t work. If I had Spidey senses they would be tingling right now.

He was on the other side of the hallway though… should I just check?

Or I could give him a quick call? With my phone clutched in my hands I was already out the door into our hallway. I froze when I almost reached his door. Feeling stupid. As I almost turned around I spotted blood on his door handle and my heart did a quick jump in my throat. I didn’t think. I just went straight through, his door was unlocked.

There he was, sitting on his bed half naked. His torso naked and bleeding. His face was meshed up, he had a black eye. A deep cut above his brow that kept on leaking down his cheek and his gums were bleeding. He was tending too his own wounds.

I gasped, hands flying to my mouth and my phone dropping under his bed. ‘What happened!?’

His one eye that was still open, turned my way. ‘Princess, what are you doing here?’ I could hear the grunt of pain behind it as he put too much pressure on his wound.

‘Stop! Let me do that!’ I ran to his side and grabbed the bandage of him. He moaned. ‘I g-got it princess.’ He tried to act though.

‘Lean back!’ I made him lean on his headboard, legs up on the bed. It cost him a lot of effort.

‘You need to go to the hospital.’ I whispered. Panic clutching my throat. There was so much blood. I felt tears leaking down my cheeks.

‘I’m fine princess.’ He whispered. His one eye falling closed slowly and then opening up again. ‘Can’t do hospitals.’

‘I will help you.’ I whispered back. ‘Sit still.’ I ran to his bathroom, gathered towels, hot water and his first aid kit which was scattered all over the floor as if he had hastily grabbed the band aids and left everything else where it had fallen.

I began working on his face slowly. Softly padding the blood away from his scraped and the big wound above his brow. ‘I need to stitch this.’ I said solemnly. Focused on my work.

‘You are good at this.’ He answered with a weak voice. Trying to hide the pain.

‘I don’t trust the head wound. You might have a concussion.’

He chuckled followed by a grunt of pain.

‘It’s not funny.’

‘Why are you crying babe?’ he tried to smile.

‘I hate this.’ I said between tears.

He grabbed my waist and put me closer to his body so I could work better. His warm palm staying on the small of my back. Making me realise I was not wearing much besides this flimsy camisole.

‘You need ice for the eye.’ I sighed. ‘Can i… stitch you up?’ The brow wound kept on leaking.

‘Do it.’ He nodded towards the needle.

‘But you are not sedated?’

‘Don’t care princess. I’ve been through worse.’
