Chapter Olaf
Sky was nowhere to be found and so were my boyfriends. It still felt strange to me to use the plural tense of the word, but hey new world new norms I guess. Sebastian was supposed to stay over, but somehow our plans had gotten interrupted again. I was now all alone in my dorm and it felt nice. I did not get much alone time. Andrew thought Sebastian was with me tonight, so he had learned the hard way to stay out of my room. It has been thrice now that he has walked in on us in the middle of a heated romp and all of those times Sebastian hadn’t noticed. I guess that says a lot about my bedroom skills and I also says a lot about my acknowledgment of Andrew.
I had taken a long shower. Thinking about my freedom at the moment and my time to myself. I also felt guilty. Andrew had insisted on me being chaperoned at all times and him being on the other side of the hallway right now, with headphones on, felt like a betrayal of his thrust. I somehow got a sense of respect for the guy and a feeling like he was my friend.
I put on my burger and fries matching PJ cami set. It was a white top and shorts set, with a hamburger image underneath my boobs, fries on my pelvis area and a shake on my ass. I had found this gem in a thrift store and could not resist. Especially since it was the perfect joke to pull on Andrew.
I sighed. Well at least I can get a joke out of the upheaval of my alone time. I texted him.
Lux: hey
A reply followed within a second.
Andrew: everything alright?
I quickly shot him an image of my empty room and myself with a sad face. A reply came within a second.
Andrew: why are you alone right now and what are you wearing???
Lux: I didn’t know we were at this stage of the relationship yet😉
He ignored my sexual innuendo.
Andrew: Are you wearing a hamburger top?
Lux: just for you <3
Andrew: you are something. (Rolling eye emoticon).
Lux: yeah, well. Just wanted to let you know I’m alone here but it’s all good. I checked underneath my pillow just to be sure.
Andrew: rolling eye emoticon
Lux: be careful, somebody told me you could get cross eyed from doing that too much.
Andrew: sounds like a very smart someone.
Lux: mostly annoying😉
I put my phone on the bed and went to brush my hair. It wasn’t long before I heard footsteps.
I glanced in my mirror and saw him scowling at the milkshake on my ass. Or so I assumed.
‘Well, say something you creep.’ I laughed and threw a hair tie at his face.
‘I could have literally killed you in one second just there.’ Andrew said exasperated. ‘Really Lux? You didn’t even try to lock your doors?’
‘I knew it was you, silly.’ I walked towards him and put my hands on my hips. ‘Besides, I’m fine. I told you.’
‘Yeah, well I guess I had to see the hamburger outfit for myself.’
I did a slow twirl and he just raised one eyebrow. ‘What? You want me to clap or something?’
‘You are literally zero fun.’ I sighed. ‘Now shoo.’ I tried to shoo him out of my bathroom but he wouldn’t budge. ‘What?’
‘I’m not leaving.’ He walked out of the bathroom and sat his ass down on skylark’s bed. He put his arms behind his head and gave me a smug smile.
‘Nope, not happening.’
He made a show of glancing underneath the bed. ’Hey Sky, Sebastian, Oak, Ash, please come out of the woodworks now so Lux is not alone tonight, thank you. Oh really, you are not here? That’s a shame. I guess we’ll have to ask… me.’
He sat himself back down and gave me the smug smile again.
‘Oh, you want an applause or something?’
He laughed and shook his head. I sat down on my bed, suddenly in a bad mood.
‘Don’t be so sad. We can watch a movie or something.’
Now it was my turn to roll my eyes. ‘I’m sure you have better things to do than watch a movie with your subject.’
It stayed quiet as if I had insulted him somehow.
‘You really think that...-’ He paused. ‘Never mind.’
‘No, what did you want to say?’
‘Drop it.’
‘Andrew!’
‘Pick a movie, Lux.’ He was not playing. I just sighed and walked towards our television and went through the old movie collection. I’m making him suffer tonight. ‘Frozen. An earth classic.’
Oh, he had no idea what he was in for tonight.
I glanced sideways to gauge his reaction to Olaf and it was everything. Andrew was trying not to laugh. The skin besides his eyes were crinkling, but he tried to keep his stern face. When Olaf started doing his dance he lost it and I lost it with him. Because he was laughing so hard I had to too and it was one big laugh fest that lasted for about five minutes. ‘Stop…’ I squealed, clutching my stomach. ‘Stop laughing.’
‘He just..-’ Andrew laughed again and wiped away a lone tear. ‘It has been a while since I have laughed that hard with a fucking cartoon character.’ Both of us started another laughing fit and this time it was even painful to my stomach muscles.
