Galaxy Of Hope

Chapter Monster (1)

College student by day and gun trade enabler by night. Or at least an accomplice. It was a means to a though end. We had a deal. After six months he would give me part of the file Elia had on me. After a year he would give me everything and our deal would be done.

In the meantime all we had to do is turn a blind eye to the gun business. Oak and the other Paramore’s had agreed to keep this from the Paramore Council, only if I was to remain unharmed throughout this year and that there will be no innocent casualties at gun violent events. Than the deal would be off.

It had been two weeks since the meeting and Andrew had been my shadow for two full weeks. The only time he was not around was when I was with one of the Paramore’s. All other days and nights he was there outside my door. Ash and I were still not talking. Dean giving me all combat training these days. Furthermore I saw Jax on weekends, which I often spend at Maddox Manor. Last weekend we took a trip to the town centre and spend the entire Saturday afternoon skating in the ice skating rink. It was Jax, Baylor me and Skylark and we had an amazing day.

I visited Sebastian’s home last Sunday and got introduced to his entire family. I had only met his brothers, his first father and mom but had not yet met all of his fathers. They had been very kind and welcoming.

Dosch had not been on campus at all and I had not heard a peep from him. I figured word would get out that I was in business with Vincent, one way or another. In the underground seen nothing really stays hidden. All gangbangers needed their guns, so Dosch’ crew would need theirs as well. I found it very strange I hadn’t heard from him yet. Although I did read a lot about him, all the gossip magazines talking about his recent engagement to Rachel and the others.

Sebastian turned 23 years old today, it was a Friday. He had rented out this cabin by the lake, were he was throwing an epic birthday party. He had send out an open invitation, which a Paramore with all the money in the world could obviously do. The only requirement: being a student at Rivellin College or be a Barrington.

I was running late already. I quickly glanced at my reflection in the mirror. Hastily putting in my earrings. Oak had texted me if he needed to pick me up over an hour ago. I had told him I had my own private ride these days, with Andrew. He was a pain in my ass but having a bodyguard came in handy sometimes.

My hair was still wet from my shower. My training session with Dean had taken up all afternoon. It was slightly curling already. I had this strappy black velvet dress on, with a square neckline and two lines of golden strass straps crossing my chest in a V. I had chunky black sneakers on and a small dangly golden earring. The dress did enhance all my curves, like Olive and Skylark had pointed out when we went shopping last weekend. I wore Oak’s bracelet on my arm, sparkling in the glow of my bathroom lights. I had a slight red smoky eye, which emphasized my green eyes. Nude lipstick. A little bit of blush, but no foundation. I liked keeping it natural. My freckles still shined brightly because I was still a little tanned from the summer months. That would slowly fade in the coming weeks though.

I quickly grabbed my tiny black purse and ran for the door. Nearly tumbling over Andrew. He had to steady me. ‘Hey now, princess. Don’t run me over.’

‘Sorry, I was just rushing outside to find you. Didn’t know you were already on your way inside.’

He popped one of those dimples and put me back on my feet. He quickly let his eyes wander over my dress and his eyebrows raised. ‘I was just coming to see what monster had swallowed you up and drowned you in that shower. That took a while.’ He teased. I just grunted. ‘Well the monster could have eaten me already. Explain that to Vincent and the Paramore’s.’

He smiled. ‘True. I should be there next time you shower.’

I reached for my Telvice, ignoring his lude comments and him. Already seven missed calls from the guys and Sky. ‘We need to go.’

‘Want me to grab that enormous bag from you, your highness?’ he cooed. Finding himself very funny. I scowled at him. ‘Ha ha ha. Aren’t we the jokester today.’

’Very. And sexy. Don’t forget sexy.’

He had overheard Skylark calling him sexy and I had not denied it. He had been teasing me about that for over a week now.

I slapped his arm and stalked off towards where he had parked his Helicar. He flew a matte black one, like all Vincent’s goons had.
