From Secret Wife to Queen of Her World

Chapter From Secret Wife 15

Chapter 15 Set Up a Tent

After Gabriel took his two sons back to their room to rest, Hazel, who resided across the hallway, picked up the phone and dialed John's number. She requested that he find a lawyer to assist her in a custody battle.

She would fight for custody, but as for Joshua, Hazel was still angry with him. She decided to wait and see his subsequent performance before making a decision.

For now, she wouldn't be too warm to him.

At the same time, in fact, Lucia had been paying attention to the movements next door.

Gianna, who lived next door to Gabriel's room, couldn't wait to ask about the result, but she was politely refused by him with the excuse that "the kids. are taking a

taking a nap."

When the three children woke up from their nap, Lucia came over to take them downstairs to play. Just as they stepped out, they ran into Gabriel.

Jaxon and Joshua both changed their clothes.

After waking up, full of energy, Leila headed towards Jaxon.

Jaxon took a small step back to avoid bumping into her.

Gabriel swiftly interposed his legs to counteract Jaxon's backward momentum, thus avoiding the risk of the two children toppling over.

Leila, with her deer-like starry eyes, blinked as she looked at her older brother who was much taller than her.

Her voice was filled with love for Jaxon. "Jaxon."

Jaxon's heart became soft

Gabriel.

Gianna held several kites in her hands, and she felt very unhappy when she saw this scene- She thought Gabriel would refuse, but Gabriel nodded. She was so angry that she almost tore the kite in her hand. Joshua heard his older brother say this, so he quickly changed his mind and said, "Dad, I want to go with Jaxon."

He tentatively reached out to hold the other hand of Leila, holding it carefully, afraid of hurung her. Leila looked at him and hesitated for a moment before finally holding his hand. Lucia approached Hazel closely and chuckled, "Darling, your three little babies are so cute. I like them!"

Hazel glanced at her and said, "If you like children so much, why don't you have one yourself?" Lucia hurriedly waved her hand and resisted, "No, no, I already have Leila as my goddaughter. That's enough. Do you see Gianna's expression? She's pissed off."

At this moment, Leila stood in front of the elevator and turned around, saying, "Mom, come on." Hazel hooked her lips and said, "I'm here, baby."

Gianna gritted her teeth in frustration as she watched Gabriel's back in front of her. He didn't

even notice that she had been left behind by everyone else.

She caught up and intentionally got close, trying to create the illusion that they were a couple, but Gabriel silently distanced himself from her.

As soon as Gianna entered the elevator, she pretended to lose her balance and fell weakly towards. Gabriel.

He instinctively moved aside, preventing her from touching him.

Gianna regretted not falling into his arms. She said, "Gabriel, I feel a little dizzy."

Gabriel's voice was faint, "If you're not feeling well, go back to your room and rest. There's no need to come along."

Gianna looked at him with a shy and sweet expression, "Well, I'm fine. I want to be with you and the kids."

Gabriel said indifferently, "No need, I can take care of them myself."

Lucia found Gianna's performance of being a delicate woman both amusing and extremely repulsive. She signaled Hazel to turn around, believing that out of sight, out of mind. Hazel chuckled at herself. She had been used to it.

The resort had a large expanse of green lawn.

By the time they arrived, numerous families were already camping with their kids. Besides the tents, tables, and chairs provided by the resort, some parents were busy setting up their own tents alongside their children.

Hazel smiled and said, "Okay, let's set up a cute tent, okay?"

any heed Joshua stole a glance at Hazel's expression. Once more, it seemed she wasn't paying him Joshua thought, "Why is she so good to Jaxon and Leila, but not to me?" He felt very aggrievin his heart.

Gianna seethed with jealousy as she watched Hazel interacting with the children. The high-heeled shoes made walking on the lawn a cumbersome affair, yet determined to uphold her air of elegance, she clenched her teeth and endured it.

Gianna spoke softly to Gabriel, "Gabriel, shall we also set up a tent for the children?" Gabriel's expression changed immediately when he saw Leila holding something bigger than herself, and he didn't hear what Gianna said.

He briskly walked up and lifted Leila up before she fell down, with a concern in his voice that he

himself was not aware of.

Gabriel said, "You're so young. You can't carry such a big thing."

Beila felt her collar being grabbed by someone, and the next second her feet left the ground.

She wondered how suddenly flew up.

With

a sound of surprise, she kicked her stubby legs and, with a confused expression, tilted her head back to look up.

Then she found it was the bad uncle who caught her.

He lifted her up with one hand, took the pillow from her hand, and walked a few steps to stand in front of Hazel.

"Leila is

young,

and you

let her carry things. What if she falls down?" As soon as Hazel and Lucia finished setting up the tent frame, they turned around and heard Gabriel's questioning.

Seeing Leila being held in his arms, as well as the pillow being held in his hands, before Hazel could even speak, she heard Leila defending herself.

Heila reached out and poked Gabriel's cheek, displeased with his tone, "Don't scold Mom."

Gabriel was speechless.

Hazel looked at her twin sons, who were also holding pillows, and then looked at Leila in Gabriel's arms, who was staring at him with wide eyes. She felt that Gabriel was somewhat

strange.

The things she made the children carry were either very small or very light. Her intention was primarily to give them a sense of involvement, all while ensuring that they wouldn't be burdened or harmed in any way.

She wondered what was wrong with Gabriel.

Or, was it just to find an excuse to argue with her?

Hazel didn't bother to argue with him, "If you have nothing better to do, go business."

Gabriel's face immediately darkened.

Before the anger could fully set in, he suddenly felt a touch on his face. Two tiny index fingers pressed against the corners of his mouth and gently pushed them upwards, attempting to make him smile.

Leila thought it was scary that Gabriel never smiled.

Seeing that Gabriel did not make a move, Leila hesitated for a moment and said, "Smile"

Gabriel unnaturally tugged at the corners of his mouth.

Lucia, upon witnessing this scene, was taken aback and instinctively covered her mouth. Moments later, a knowing smirk spread across her face.

Hazel was surprised by Gabriel's cooperation.

Chapter 15-Set Up a Teut

Although Leila was young, she would eagerly watch Gabriel take action whenever she saw other people setting up tents, with their fathers doing the work while their mothers rested. The tent provided by the resort was very big.

Although Hazel and Lucia were agile, they didn't have as much strength as the men. She was about to politely decline when she saw Gabriel

squat down.

Three adorable children stood by, admiringly watching as Gabriel began perfecting the construction of the tent.

By the time he realized what he had done, the tent had already been set up. Seeing the tent set up, Leila happily waved at Gabriel.
