From Princess To Queen

Chapter 44

New Adventures Await

Xavior stuck around talking with members who asked questions about his pack, what the rules were, and if there was enough room for him to take on so many members. He had told them that he had enough room and not to worry; he just needed numbers as to how many would be coming to his pack so that he could have his people start building houses and apartments to place them.

“There would be around five hundred followings to the pack, and the rest go with the others,” Rayland told Xavior.

“What makes you think that?”

“It was discussed already, and I have the papers for those that will come with us, except one who found her mate with Syderick. Guess she will be leaving with him.”

“Who is she? She looks familiar, Rayland.”

“Gabby’s twin sister and their family are warriors and very good. They wanted to get rid of Felix before, but I told them they could not do it and let you and your mate handle the affairs.”

“Will their family follow the girls? Or will they split?”

“Their parents are retired, and their brothers are head warriors here and very good at that. They refused to go with Felix and the rogues to do their fighting as they did not believe in attacking others unless necessary. His cases were not necessary, just pure power.”

“That was all Libby’s doing anyway, not his. He was doing her bidding without really realizing it until he was in our prison. There was a mass difference in his demeanor when she was not around.”

“Really? How much of a difference?”

“He was calmer and not so much in a trance when we got rid of her. He was nicer, calmer, and very apologetic. With that, we knew she was using him and the rogues. We need to get ahold of those rogues that did not come with Felix.”

He explained that they were still out there believing that Felix and Libby were coming back to finish the job, so he let all the other alphas’ know what had happened and to kill any of the rogues with them. They all agreed to what Xavior and Clara had stated, and they kept looking for any signs of trouble. They all were tired of being on high alert because of them, mainly because of her.

Rayland and Xavior got the paperwork for their pack, and the other alphas did the same with those transferred to other territories. The pack members could not wait to leave this hell to pack behind as it provided so many bad memories to the younger ones and was both suitable and harmful to the older generations. They were told they had a month to finish packing and be ready to leave for their new homes. This gave the alphas time to discuss housing in their packs and to prepare their new members when they arrived.

Gabby’s twin sister hurried and packed her stuff, which was a little. She would not need anything but her clothes and car, so she went to where her mate was, and they put their things in both cars and left for his territory. She was excited to leave and start a new life as a Luna, and he was ecstatic to be with her. Her parents would go live with them, and her brothers would go to Xaviors so that he could watch how well they trained and what they knew. Then he would move them to the royal pack as either warriors or the elite guard.

He left to return to his mate as he had been gone a couple of days. He could not wait to tell Clara what had happened, but first things first. He found her in their suite and had just turned on the shower, so he snuck in and took his clothes off, creeping in behind her in the shower. She jumped as he leaned down to kiss her, but she succumbed to his touch then; it was nothing but hot sensual sex afterward.

When they were finished with their business, they walked to their office. She sat at her desk, and he sat at his entering the new members’ names into the computer and making copies of the paperwork so that he could give them to Rayland to take back to their pack. He wanted to ensure plenty of proof of his members, so he always tripled up on the files in different places. Clara praised him for this practice as she would have done the same without her father’s horrible filing system.

She kept her nose into entering information into the computer and making files with each pack and the regions they belonged to. She had paper trails of the existing packs and took out those packs that had gone under or been killed off by Libby. Those files she put in a fireproof storage room. There were few boxes in there yet, but it would be a matter of time before the place would be filled with ex-packs. They had been working on their files for a few hours and needed a break to eat food, so they went to the kitchen and made sandwiches.

“I have a good five hundred new pack members coming to my pack, and the rest will be split between two other alphas’,” he told Clara.

“Wow, how many does that make for you now?”

“Over three thousand members, Syderick’s pack will increase by another eight hundred, and Louka is taking the rest.”

“Who is Syderick?”

“He went into Felix’s pack to see if he could find his mate and did yesterday, even though he had been there for some time. His mate is Gabby’s twin sister and their parents are going with them and their brothers are coming to mine. If possible, I want to see how good of warriors they are and may recruit them into your Royal Guard?”

“I want to see them in action, too. That way, I can gauge their strengths and their weaknesses lie. They could be beneficial in the royal pack. This leads me to ask, ’What will you do when we get married? Will we combine your pack along with mine or keep them separate?”

“I have been thinking about that, and we could give them a choice.

“I have over one-hundred and ninety-thousand plus acres, and not all are used. So they all can move here plus open up businesses. I planned on making a couple of recreational centers for the members so they would have a place to go and unwind. It is still being determined, but my plans are on my desk. We can review them and see what we want to add and take out, but I have been putting that off until after the fight and our coronation and marriage.”

“Will that be right after you win the battle against your father?”

“Yes, about a week or two after that.”

“Speaking of your father, have you visited him recently?”

“Yep, yesterday, when you were gone, he told me he would not submit or back out of the fight.”

“Are you willing to kill him if he refuses to submit and retires?”

“Yes, but I want it to be hard for him to fight me. If we must turn to our beasts, so be it or use weapons. I am not opposed to it as I know he never trained with weapons like me and the others.”

Xavior pondered over what she just told him, still unsure what he wanted to do about the fight, although he knows it is usually to the death unless the referee calls it because neither will back down. He also knows Clara can and will kill him in a heartbeat, but he wants the king to submit. He still has a lot of damage from Libby’s magic and poisons that she had given him over the years, and he does not know how he will last. He sent a text to Meira asking her to come and visit him in the office privately.

“I am going to haul some of the boxes to the storage after we eat so that I will be an hour or so, and I am taking Max and Kelley with me to help me out.”

“That is good; it’s getting a little crowded there.” Xavior chuckles.

They walked to their office while Max, Kelley, and a couple of others were heading out with boxes upon boxes to load them into two vehicles. When they finished loading, Clara kissed Xavior bye and headed out the door. Meira watched as Clara left the office and out the door when she diced to knock on the door frame of the office. Xavior had her come in and have a seat.

“Meira, thank you for coming on short notice, but I wanted to speak to you while Clara was not around.”

She nodded at him to continue as he did. “This is a hard question to ask or talk about, but when Clara fights her father, he will not submit, and she will have to end up killing him, and it will be fast when she does.”

“Yes, I know that she is a good and strong fighter. He will not give up, but I know he is weak as he refuses to train to fight his daughter.”

“Why is that do you think?”

“He knows his time has come, and the poisons and magic have made him very weak, even though I have tried to undo everything I could to speed up the healing process.”

“Answer me this, please, is Clara’s sister her full-blooded sister?”

“No, I found another mate in my pack that I run now, and she will take it over when she turns twenty-three, as we want her to go to college and obtain a degree. If you are trying to ask if I will be hurt by the king dying, that would be a big no. It will not kill me to see him hurt or die.”

“Okay, then the fight will be till death, and I know she will go easy on him because it is her father.”

“If you can, piss her off by reminding her of how he treated her all those years while she was growing up by not telling her about her siblings and me. That will make her furious again, and she will not let the fight last very long.”

He thanked her for coming once again and set to writing the rules of the fight. He was heartbroken by what he had to do but knew it had to be done, and it needed to be a quick kill at that.

They did not run into trouble heading to the storage place where they kept the past documents but noticed some rogues creeping around. Kelly and Max stiffened at the smell of them knowing who they belonged to, and Kelley let Clara know they had company sneaking in on them.

Clara was excited but clambered up and masked her excitement, knowing that she would finally get to use her mad skills. When they were done unloading their vehicles of the boxes, they saw the rogues approaching them while they were snarling and baring their teeth.

“Damn, did not think they stunk that bad, SHIFT!” Clara exclaimed.

“They refused to follow your command, princess.”

“SHIFT OR BE KILLED! YOUR CHOICE, WHAT WILL IT BE?”

Still nothing, and they stared, charging at them all head-on. They all knew that the princess was a killing machine, so there was no use in trying to protect her. As they got closer, Clara stood there with her arms crossed, watching them move toward them while the others shifted in their beasts.

The main one tried attacking Clara, and all she did was command a sword and swiftly took his head off along with four others. The remaining rogues stood there growling and looking at her in disbelief at what they saw. She started towards them at a reasonably fast paste and beheaded four other wolves. The others saw they had no way out and decided to submit and shift. The others took them into custody after they offered some clothes to change into.

The ride back to the castle was sad as the rogues did not want to look at the princess in her eyes as they feared she would swipe their heads right then and there. They were ushered to the cells when they returned and asked not to be seen by the princess as she was evil and scared the shit out of them. The guards just laughed, shaking their heads as they left the area, letting Clara know they were locked up.

“Xavior, to inform you, there are about six rogues in the prison cells, and I killed about eight of them already.”

“HUH? WHAT! Are you okay? Did they hurt you?” Xavior fired question after question.

“Uh, nope, the last of them finally submitted when I beheaded those around them, and they all came willingly.”

“Excuse me, princess, the rogues are locked and made a funny request.” One of the guards stated.

“Really? What is their request?”

“For you not to come and question them, guess you scared the shit out of them?”

They all laughed at the comment, but they all went down to the cells; she looked at them, wanting to laugh but had to hide her smirk. Xavior went up to one of the cells, asking who their leader was and why they did not bother to shift when she had ordered them to do so the first time.

They told them that she killed their leaders and some of their friends and did not like her being there amongst them. He did not care what they were saying as he shook his head. He told them that she was the princess and they had to obey the laws whether they liked it or not, so they answered the questions.

They were looking for Libby and Felix so that they could attack the text pack. They shared information even if the others did not care to know, but as it turns out, they were victims of them too and wanted to belong in a pack once again. They did not like being out as rogues and could prove they were good people. They were barely sixteen siblings and did not deserve to be discarded. Xavior and Clara had to think about it and get back to them, and with that, they turned on their heels and left the cells.

Max wanted to get back to his pack reasonably quickly as issues were starting to arise with him not being there, so they told Clara and Xavior that they would leave in three days for his pack. They would return for their wedding and coronation ceremony when it happened. Clara and Xavior were happy that they got to stay with them but were told if they needed anything, to let them know, and they would come to their aid and help, no questions asked. But before they left, Max and Clara entered into an alliance agreement, and it was signed the night before they left.
