From Here to Ecstasy

Chapter Summary for Project Trouble X Three

This is the sequel to Project Rescue. I hope you give them a read. Thanks for being with me on my journey.

I couldn’t believe it had been sixteen years, sixteen years of driving our parents crazy, sixteen years of learning how to protect ourselves, sixteen years of learning how to keep quiet when we had to. It had been a hard life but also full of love. Our parents trained us as if we were in the military. We had heard the stories of how our parents met and couldn’t wait to find my mate as long as he treated me well, but if he didn’t I would kick his ass to hell and back.

I was sitting in my dad’s office, watching him make gadgets. I had learned a lot from my parents but I was the only one out of my siblings who had enough brains to help. Don’t get me wrong, my siblings could be smart but they didn’t have the patience to slowly put weapons together.

“What are you thinking about?” My dad asked me as I looked at him.

“I was thinking back about all the attempts on our lives. I know you told us why but I don’t understand why they still chase after us. Do they want us for something?” I all but growled.

“Yes. They want to kill you. We told them you didn’t want anything to do with their drug trade but they don’t believe it and still want to take one of you with them to play with your minds, then kill you when your mom and I are watching. Sorry, I can’t sugarcoat anything but it’s better you know the truth.”

I nodded my head as sirens went off, well, lights went off, we had never had sirens with sound unless it was at the base. I jumped up and ran to the nearest weapons closet and suited up, grabbed weapons, throwing some to my dad. Mom ran in with the rest of my siblings and grabbed their things as we got into positions to take out whoever was coming through the doors.
