From Here to Ecstasy

Chapter 79 - Bloody Scenes

Recap

I didn’t know what a Royal seal would look like and I didn't care. All of a sudden I felt a burn start on my wrist. It wasn’t getting unbearable. I grabbed my wrist and looked at it. I wanted to make sure something didn’t bite me. I knew the cat shifter was still in the room and didn’t know if he stuck me with something. I was sure he didn’t touch me but something was happening.

Windy’s POV

Slow your breaths, Windy, it’s only the Royal seal. You don’t want to scream out with the shifter and Maximus in the room, we are not weak. It won’t take but a minute more,” my wolf informed me. I looked at Sonny and saw him look at his wrist right after my wolf spoke.

“You have commanded three times, correct?” Maximus asked as he tilted his head.

“I have,” was all Sonny remarked.

“If you are Royals and you command someone three times you receive the Royal seal. All is as it should be. I knew you two were Royals as soon as Windy opened the door for me. The power coming from you and Windy was remarkably strong.”

My wrist eased up from the burn. I took a deep breath and my heart settled from the pain. I was proud of myself for listening to Star. I didn’t want to look like a little kid in front of anyone. I wanted to be strong. I needed to be strong if I was going to back up Sonny. I knew all my pranks and jokes would have to be behind closed doors. I had to remember I wasn’t a ten-year-old kid anymore. I was never a ten-year-old kid anyway so it should be easier than I thought.

I wanted to laugh when Sonny looked at the cat shifter. “Oh, you’re still here? I’m sorry, I’ll have your accommodations set up for you right now.”

I went back to the door and opened for Trace and Chase. “You called?” They asked as one.

“Will you take this trash to a cell, preferably one in the lower level?” Sonny asked as he smiled at our brothers.

Trace and Chase smirked at Cyrus and crooked their fingers, calling the cat towards them. When he didn’t move I watched as Trace rolled his finger, pulling the idiotic pervert to them. The man had no choice but to follow my brothers to jail.

Maximus chuckled at the sight. “Those boys are something else.”

“Yes, they are a handful just by themselves. I never know what they are going to do next and it scares me,” my mom told Maximus, shuddering for effect.

“How are you feeling about this King and Beta stuff?” He asked as he looked at both Sonny and me.

I shrugged my shoulders. “I’ll know more when we get to the castle.”

“Ditto.” We laughed at his words. “I know I’m going to have my hands full with everyone. I’m sure there will be a lot of people mad they didn’t get the chance to be a King. There’s not much I can do about it but do my job well and watch my back,” Sonny commented as he looked around at all of us. I can tell he was nervous he wouldn’t do well.

Maximus took a few steps toward Sonny, laying his hand on Sonny’s shoulder. “You will be the best King there ever was. You think about your words and your decisions. You’ve been taught from the moment you were born to keep the anger out of your decisions. You need to believe in yourself. I know you can do it, so does everyone else.

Do you think he speaks true, Windy,” Sonny asked through his wolf.

Are you kidding me? He knows we can hear a lie. You will be great,” I assured him as I crossed my arms over my chest. “You need to tell Maximus thank you and square your shoulders. You are a King. Don’t let indecision show on your face. You do not want those people to think you are weak. Chin up and do your job well.”

“Thanks, Maximus. I will pick up everything quickly and with Windy’s help, we will transition in our roles as fast as we can. I’m worried about the mess the advisors left to me, but there’s nothing I can, well, I can replace them. I want to see what they advise first.” Sonny laughed and shook his head. He shook Maximus’ hand, but Maximus being Maximus he teleported right out of the handshake.

“Same old King Maximus,” my mom smirked.

“Let’s get the rest of this over with please,” I told Sonny, staring into his eyes.

Sonny nodded his head. “As your King, I’m ordering you not to run out and kill these people. You will wait until we tell you we are ready.”

“Yes, King Maximus,” our parents voiced together.

I stepped back in surprise and shock, my mouth wide open and eyes about to pop out of my head. “Woah. You do know they are going to punish you for this later.” I started laughing. I was so happy it wasn’t me.

“Shit!” He yelled, bringing our parents out of their fog or whatever it was.

“Sonny Zacharia, you ordered us not to do something, plus you cursed?” My mom asked her arms across her chest and her foot tapping.

“Uh-oh, I’m in trouble.” He gulped and looked at our mother in the eye. “I ordered you to keep you safe. And, this is not an issue. Windy’s precog visions are true both ways. Get ready for a wild ride.” I could tell my mom was confused but she nodded her head.

“Don’t panic. You three need to look around and see as much as you can,” I informed them. “I’ll tell you what I told Sonny. What you see can’t be unseen.” I sent all of us in the vision. It wasn’t as if I wanted to see it again but I needed to see the vision. I didn’t want to be here for too long. The smell of blood, guts, and waste made me feel sick and lightheaded. I decided to look and see where the invasion point was. I knew we would need this information to plan our battle, one that could kill all of us. There were four invasion points, well, it’s what I see at the moment. I made sure to look harder at the ridgeline to see if there was something I was missing.

“Anyone want to see the other vision?” I asked softly.

Yeah, this one is a lot better.

Stupid bloody visions.

“Please,” my mom said as she swallowed hard and wiped her eyes.

I nodded my head and sent them into the other vision, the one I knew showed the battle in our favor. I knew if Sonny hadn’t ordered them my mom would have gone off half-cocked. She was quick to temper but ever quicker to serenity. It was as if it took three seconds to change her whole aura. I was praying to the Moon Goddess to keep my temper in check. I would need to be calm for my brother and my parents.

“What the hell is that?” My dad, Blaine, yelled.
