From Here to Ecstasy

Chapter 77 - Secret Weapon

Recap

I heard and okay as I laid back on my bed, taking Sonny with me. I didn’t want his head to spin as he looked at the vision. I knew it was hard on my body and didn’t know what it would do to a King. I was uncertain if this was the right thing to do or not. I knew something in my gut was urging me to share this with him. And, I always listened to my gut.

Here goes nothing.

I started the vision out slowly, feeling Sonny’s body jerk in surprise.

Right there with you buddy.

Windy’s POV -

I moved a little quicker at his instruction. I knew he saw more than I did. He took in everything, leaving nothing untouched by his eyes. I could feel the shock he felt, the confusion, the shivers crawling up his spine, through our twin bond. It was a Goddess’s awful fear.

I felt my heart speed up when I looked into the distance and saw more of the vision I didn’t look at before, wishing I hadn’t looked. I knew I needed to see everything and take it in but is hard seeing my vision.

I murmured to Sonny, “Are you ready for the second one yet?” I saw him nod his head. I started the second vision, knowing Sonny would remember everything. I felt him shudder but he didn’t let go of my hand. It was the worst vision I had ever had. I didn’t want to have another one like it in my life.

I felt Sonny trying to jerk his hand from mine. He could see what I saw, a man with a sword and helm. Sonny was trying to protect me.

“Watch, Sonny, but don’t pull your hand from mine or you will never come out of this vision. We must stay connected,” I harshly told as I squeezed his hand tight. He relaxed and watched the man run through us and to the creature behind us. The creature was no more and the knight cleaned his blade on the creature's clothing. Sonny and I both shuddered at the same time.

I pulled Sonny with me. I wanted out of the vision and back into my own world, not this nastiness. I looked around and pulled Sonny out of the vision with me.

Sonny sat and rubbed his hands down his face. “What the hell was that?”

“My visions. One was a warning and the other was the solution. I knew mom and dad would be ready to take them head-on. I couldn’t let it happen and now you understand why.”

He was looking at me, his eyes wide. I watched as he shook his head a few times, knowing he was trying to shake what he saw out of his mind.

Good luck with that.

I could feel Sonny shaking, gasping for air as I did before. “Breathe, Sonny. Come on you can do it. Follow the pattern of my breaths, of my heart.” I felt him trying to follow my breaths. It took him a while before he could match my breaths, before he could slow his heart down. He was still trying to shake the vision by shaking his head a few more times. I hated that I had upset him. I didn’t mean to upset him. I needed help to put everything into words. I knew I needed to talk to my parents about what was going on but I was afraid of their actions. My mom would be the first hunting down the defunct King and Queen of the vampyres, a position Maximus had already taken.

I saw Sonny take a deep shuddering breath. “Now I know why you didn’t want to show our parents. I wouldn’t either. But, you have a secret weapon,” he said as he smiled.

I gaped up at him as if he had lost his ever-loving mind. “How could you even smile after seeing my vision? Aren’t worried about how our parents are going to be going half-cocked? What the hell is wrong with you?” I asked as I stood there shaking.

“Because, Windy, I am the secret weapon. I can order them to stay their hand and they will have to obey me, or it’s what my wolf told me.”

“Oh, cool. You being King will be of great help to keep them from warring. I was worried about how they would react when seeing them,” I muttered as I rubbed my arms.

“They need to see it, Windy. Show them the last one first then show them the consequences of their actions. I think they will understand a lot better, plus, when I order them to stay their hand I won’t get ambushed by them.”

“Hey, you’re pretty smart. That’s a genius idea. Thank you, Sonny, you always know how to calm me down and look at the visions differently.” I hugged him as tight as I could and kissed his cheek. “No time like the present to get this done. I can feel their anxiousness and it’s stifling.”

I grabbed Sonny’s hand and pulled him out of my bead, almost throwing him to the wall behind me. I, once again, gaped at Sonny. Where the hell did the strength come from? I’ve never been that strong before.

“Woah there, little bodybuilder, you need to remember our strength is ten times more than others,” Sonny teased me as he picked himself off the ground and brushed off his clothes.

I shook my head at myself. I liked having the strength. I never had it before and it was kick-ass. I still needed to be careful so I wouldn’t hurt my family. I would hate myself if it was to happen.

“You’ll get used to the power. Star will help you. She doesn’t want our siblings to get hurt either. Rely on her when you have a question, okay?” I nodded. “Are you ready for this?”

I shrugged my shoulders. I felt as if a boulder was rested there. “We can’t stay here all day, so I guess it’s time to face the music. You know mom’s going to pout because I showed you first.”

We laughed and walked out the door, stopping when our whole family was in the hallway. I knew they had tried listening to our conversation. I could see the guilty look on Trace and Chase’s face. I shook my head and snorted at my nosey family as we walked down the hallway to the office. I wasn’t surprised, no, I was only surprised by their quilty looks. I had never seen them look truly guilty before. It was if they had kicked my puppy, a puppy I didn’t have.

We all walked into the office and without anyone speaking we checked the office for bugs or cameras. It didn’t take long until we found three. My mom’s face turned red with anger. And, there was the reason I didn’t want to tell them anything. My mom could get angry quickly. I didn’t want her to kill someone in anger.

I walked over to my mom and pulled her to me. She tried to step back but I held on to her as if I was her shadow. “Calm, Mom, you don’t want to kill anyone in anger. It’s what they want you to do,” I whispered in her ear, making sure no one else could hear me. I held her until her breath evened out and she stopped shaking.

My mom hugged me. “Thank you, Windy. I don’t know why I’m getting so angry all the time.”

“One; you’re pregnant again. Two; you’ve been poisoned with something that works on your anger. I’m not sure what it is, but I would have the doctor take a blood sample,” I stated as I walked back over to Sonny.

My mom narrowed her eyes at my dads' as they held up their hands in the universal sign of surrender. “How do you know this, Windy? Is this another one of your powers?”

“I’m not sure if it is or not.” I sighed. “Your body is rejecting the poison. You need to call in the doc fast if you want to know what it is. You will also need to set up a boundary line and make the property a no-fly zone, or a no teleporting zone. It’s how someone is getting in here to hear what we are saying, right, Rose?” I reached out and grabbed the vampyre out of thin air as everyone sucked in a breath.
