Chapter 46 - Stinky Situation
Sorry about some of this being bold and other places not. It's how my phone rolls right now.
Happy Reading
Recap"Woah, how much is this," the idiot whispered.
Micah's POV
I looked over at Winter and knew she wasn’t going to say anything else to this man. I could tell she was pissed off at the man and was ready to come over the desk and throttle him before I ever read her mind.
"Sir, the amount is on the card that was in the bag. But, I suggest that you read the card and put the money back into the bag before I go to another bank, " I dryly suggested as I stared at him, motioning for him to get with it.
I watched every dollar go into the bag instead of his pockets. The idiot, as Winter called him, was in a hurry to put our money in his bank. I wanted to listen to what he was thinking, knowing Winter was doing the same as well.
I sighed and leaned my head back. I was ready to be out of this bank, away from all the smells bombarding my nostrils. I was ready to put my hands on my mate's and definitely ready to kiss them. I knew Winter was ready for me to change back into myself.
"You are right. I mean, I love my brothers but I wouldn't hold their hands," I whispered to Micah as I snorted. " Not a chance in hell."
I chuckled at her words. "Good to know, Winter," I whispered as she rolled her eyes at me.
I was praying to the Moon Goddess for the man to hurry. I needed to out of here before I couldn’t smell anything for a week or two. It was as if everyone took a bath in their favorite smell good, cough, shit. The only thing they were doing was making people want to see how long they could hold their breath or how fast they could run back outside.
Winter snorted and chuckled. "I was ready to run back outside as fast as I could, but it would have scared their fragile minds. I'm not saying that they are fragile because of their race but they rationalize anything they see if it's paranormal," Winter explained, whispering the last part.
About two hours later the idiot man showed up and matched the numbers to the card. "It matched up. Now, I need to get your information. I need two forms of ID's before I can set your account.
"I'm going to use the restroom real quick, " Winter remarked as she moved quickly to it.
I fumbled around my pockets as if I was looking for my ID. "I'm so tired and I forgot my sister has my ID's with her. I didn’t want to carry my wallet in my back pocket. It's way too easy for a pickpocket to get ahold of it.
"I can have one the women here get it from -"
"-no! What I meant to say was she should be here any second, " I exclaimed as I looked around for Winter.
"Sorry, but I forgot you had me hold onto your shit."And, for not telling him why I live in the bathroom."
"Are you pregnant?" The idiot man asked as he smiled.
"Do I seriously look pregnant?" Winter bit out, glaring at the man.
"Well, uh, no." He pulled at his collar, trying to get some air, considering Winter had him nervous. "I just thought it could be something like that, " the man answered, looking down as his cheeks turned red.
Winter nodded her head as I cleared my throat. "Can we get this over with?" The man nodded. "Don't forget I need a safe deposit box too.
"Of course, sir."
I handed him my ID's and watched the man get to work. He was pretty quick with his typing and soon we had checks, including our debit card.
Next, he had gotten our keys to the box and showed us the security measures- which were impressive. He finally left us in the room to put the gold bars in our box. We walked back out of the private room and took our box, placing it back into our locker. I wanted to scream 'I'm free at last', but decided to not make a scene until I got home.
Before I walked out of the bank I checked the balance against the amount Griffith said was in the bundle. It was the same, so we hid and teleported to the packhouse. I had made sure I came out on the other side as myself. I quickly kissed Winter.
"Thank Goddess you're back
I was about to kiss you anyway. One more second away from you made my skin hurt and my wolf confused."
I nodded my head as I held her hand. "We need to get the stuff to your brother and see what other work we need to do."
I knocked on the door, Autumn opened the door and threw herself into my arms, kissing me as if she hadn't seen me for two weeks.
I heard a throat being cleared. "As fun as it is to see my sister sucking face with her mate we still have a lot to do, " Griffith dryly said.
"Oops. I couldn't resist," Autumn told Griffith as she smirked.
I watched as Griffith shook his head, not saying a word. He sat down and asked us to help him file some paperwork in the new filing cabinets Autumn had brought.
"Do you have a problem with me getting a training schedule and border schedule done? I asked Griffith as I sat down at my desk.
"No problem and thank you, Micah. We have a lot of lazy people. We need to train all of our pack members, well, at least the ones who are old enough to fight. The elderly are excused also. I want the women to train, too." Griffith looked at Autumn and Winter. "That's what you two will do, okay?"
We nodded and sat down to make a schedule. We would be staggering training throughout the day. My mate's would do the same. Next, we filled out the border patrol schedule, making sure our border would be tough to get through.
"I have an idea to get these lazy assess to want to train...um, we run a competition. The best 'person ' will become our assistant trainers," Autumn said as she looked between Griffith and me.
I think it's a great idea. What do you think, Micah?"
"I have a feeling we will have a female assistant and I love the idea."
We heard yelling and fighting coming from outside. I teleported all of us outside, but as soon as opened my mouth Griffith let a growl so fierce that it almost sent me to my knees.
"What the hell is going on here?" I heard Griffith yell.
