From Here to Ecstasy

Chapter 38 - A Roar Of Stupidity

Recap

“Honey, if you aren’t ready for this kind of play we don’t have to do it. I would never push you to try something I knew you weren’t ready for. I would never hurt you,” I honestly told her as I pulled her towards me and quickly kissed her lips

“I want to try something new, but only with you-”

What the hell?

“-I would never ask anyone to join us in our sex life or at any other time. You’re mine and only mine. I don’t share. I would kill anyone who thought they could hurt what’s mine. I’m yours just as much. I know you would go after any woman who tried to get with me. Not going to happen, Willow. Ever,” I explained as I looked into her eyes.

“Sorry. I didn’t know if you would do that or not. I may be a little kinky, but only with you,” she whispered as she cut her eyes from mine.

I reached over and lifted her face to mine, seeing the tears in her eyes. “You have nothing to be ashamed about. It was not your fault. You were kidnapped and the idiot only did one thing right.” She jolted from my words. “And, that was to bring you with him to our pack. If he hadn’t I wouldn’t have met you as soon as I have. I love you and will do everything in my power to show you what true love is.”

She had tears running down her face at my words. She pulled me to her and kissed me as if she was starving and I was the only way she could feed herself. “I love you, Griffith. I’m so happy you saved from that monster. I was almost to the point of killing myself.” I looked at her in shock. “But, I knew my mate was out there and I would meet him when the Moon Goddess deemed it time. I’m very happy your grandmother put the thought of bringing me here and saving me at the same time. I’m not talking about saving, saving me. I’m talking about meeting you. You saved my heart and my life. I can’t wait to see what happens next.”

All of a sudden we were startled out of declarations of love by yelling. We got up and I quickly teleported to my sister's room. “What the fuck is going on here?” I yelled as I entered the room with Willow, my mate.

“Murder and Mayhem,” mom answered as Winter rolled her eyes and I narrowed my eyes at Winter.

“What? I didn’t do anything but save us from being murdered in our sleep,” Winter sarcastically said as she crossed her arms over her chest.

“So, the big man tried shooting you and the little guy did what?” I asked Winter as she huffed.

She sighed. “Can’t everyone show up at the same time. Why do I have to repeat myself?”

“Ooh, I know this one,” the little guy answered in a sing-song voice. “It’s because they really want to know what’s going on.” Winter and I coughed to keep from laughing.

Winter looked at the little guy incredulously. “Okay,” she drew out the word. “He was trying to kill us.” She pointed at the big guy. “And the other guy didn’t want to kill us. He was willing to die to keep him from shooting us.” She laughed at the big guy. “Did you think you were going to get away by shooting a gun? I know you had a silencer, idiot, but you’re in a packhouse with a lot of wolves - wolves who can hear a pin drop.”

I was wondering if we were ever going to have peace here. It was crazy how many people were trying to wipe us out. I knew it wasn’t going to be easy taking over as Alpha here, but I didn’t know we would face trials on a daily, if not hourly, basis.

I heard the big guy challenge Winter to a fight. I didn’t think he realized he couldn’t challenge her for the pack. I needed to find out who sent them and where this person was. I had so much to do that I felt as if my head would explode at times.

“Well, that happened a lot sooner than I thought,” my mom huffed out as she walked out of my sister's door, poking her head back inside. “Are you coming or not?”

“I was trying to,” I muttered as Winter and Summer laughed. I looked up at them, my eyes wide. “Damn werewolf hearing.” I knew my face was red. I could feel the heat coming off of me. I pulled Willow to me and put my head on her shoulder, following everyone else out of the packhouse to the challenge ring.

Micah went over the rules. I wanted to roll my eyes at the idiot. He wasn’t given enough information about us. It was evident to all of us. The idiot didn’t ask for the pack or give any stipulations about not using magic. In other words; these men were expendable. I wondered if they knew. I would have to guess they didn’t know.

I heard the words fight and looked up to see the fight. I saw Winter gesture for the man to get on with it. They both ran at each other, but as soon as they were close Winter slid between his legs and twisted his junk, causing all the men to wince in sympathy. I watched as she wiped her hands down her pants and shuddered. I knew she hated to touch men, well, other than her mate. She had a disgusted look on her face as if it literally hurt her to touch the idiot.

“Are you going to lay there and cry as if you were a little bitch? I should be the one crying from touching you. Gross, just gross,” Winter goaded the man as she walked back over to her side of the circle.

The idiot got up quickly, roaring out his challenge as Winter rolled her eyes and smirked. I knew she was trying to make him mad enough to fight in anger. It was a move we were taught as soon as we could walk. And, yeah, we tried it on each other, but it got tiring once we all could control our anger.

I heard the idiot roar again, a roar of stupidity. If Winter was to roar the idiot would be on his knees with his neck exposed. I noticed Winter was floating above the guy with blood dripping from her claws. The idiot was looking around for her, never looking up. Winter scored another hit by raking her claws down his back. This idiot was going to be torn to ribbons if he didn’t realize Winter was above him.

“I didn’t know she could disappear,” the big guy cried, sounding as if he was two-years-old.
